Customers come and go, so it made it easier to find a seat. I ordered Pide with a side of chips instead of the cabbage salad. I was only able to finish half as it made me full. I love how warm and comfortable the place is, so it was a pleasant experience to have my meal there. There was plenty of parking at the back so I didn't have to worry about it.

The line goes out the back door and you better hope a table gets flipped in time for you to eat. I got the fish sandwich. The bread and fish had a smoke flavor but needed assistance from the sauce. It would better with some of the cabbage on it. The cabbage also needed more pickling. The house chips were great and had enough flavor. I also tried the "bread pudding". It was tough and more like a french toast and not at all soft. The whipped cream and sour cherries were the best. Accessibility note: This restaurant is not accessible. The "accessibility" entry is clunky and requires a lot of assistance to manage. The back staircase has railing but more than 4 steps. The front entry could be accessible if they lay ramp concrete to remove the small step. Also the Main Street patio seating completely blocks the sidewalk so wheelchair and walker users would have to enter the street. The newest award for the owner made the food hard to live up to, but I want to return.

It's great for family dinner, dinner by yourself or feeding a whole party. Half of my family is gluten-free and they have loads of different treats and meal options for us. Their selections in both categories are delicious from personal experience when someone did this for me after returning home after a month in ICU. It's very nice to have available when you are home recovering. Although I loved home cooked dishes I also recieved, I also liked this gift as well because everything is also packaged to go in to the freezer and reheating was a breeze in microwave or stove top. Warning.... Beware of delivery. I thought they did their own but for individual orders, they farm it out and the cost is high and IMO not worth it if you are able to pick it up at their cute shop in webster groves and deliver on your own. I almost paid $42 to deliver 1 grocery bag of food to chesterfield! My car costs less for a full tank of gas so round trip delivering on my own was way way less. The amount was not shared with me on order placement and when the charge hit my bank I was really surprised! I called and cancelled the delivery and was issued a credit, but it was a surprise I did not need, if they had just been upfront about the charge while ordering. Love the food, great local business/neighbor and always a pleasure to give them business.

All sandwiches come with a pickle spear and small bag of chips. The flavors were nice and fresh, with great taste! About $9 each and a good size. We sat and ate at the counter and read about the history of the building. Next time I want to get some of the side salads to try. The service was a bit odd, as there were 4 people behind the sandwich counter and 1 at the front/store register. The 4 folks were all talking to each other and didn't notice us for a bit. The guy who took the order seemed a bit upset and didn't really talk much. He sent me up front to pay and then said to come back in 5 min for the food. After a few minutes I came back and the other folks helped find the order. They were both very friendly, and helpful. Must have just caught the first guy in a bad moment. Is it a place for date night? No. It is worth going there and grabbing lunch to eat outside on a nice day? Hard "YES"! Great food at a good value and a local place, can't ask for much more than that!

Unfortunately, there wasn't anything remarkable about our experience. The deli was... charming, but very, very old. There didn't seem to be AC and the box fans were not really doing much. We ordered our food to-go after seeing the inside. I ordered the Monty sandwich, a toasted roast beef sandwich with salami as well. The meat tasted rather low-quality and the sandwich was overly chewy. My mom's Westwood Sandwich, a chicken salad on croissant, was slightly better but nothing to write home about. The prices were great, and it's always nice to support a local business, but we would probably not give this place our business again.

If you've never tried toasted ravioli, you haven't lived. This is a great place to go to try it. I could eat it until I no longer fit in my pants! They really should have a plus sized clothing department right there in the store as some people are going to need it. Oh, and they have great pizza, too. You can try the St Louis style with provel (which I really like), but I'm pretty sure they have a mozzarella option, too. I've also tried their salads in the past and really enjoyed them. One day, maybe I'll get to try one of their Italian dishes. The place is a bit unusual in its look and structure. If you are going to get a table and eat, go in through the back door. There are some areas that look like smaller rooms, and then there was a larger room where we ate. It's all enjoyable, though. I also want to say that our waitress there was one of the most outstanding waitresses that I've ever seen. She was very friendly and helpful. It definitely added to the experience. I just don't think people realize how good St Louis food is! This is a prime example. Unless you really don't like Italian food (in which case, what's wrong with you?), go eat here!

Well we went on a weekend for dinner and it's clear why there are crowds here. The two of use arrived about 6pm on a Saturday and had to wait about 30 minutes for a table -- they don't take reservations for small groups. Turned out to be fine as we found a seat near the bar and got to watch the World Cup game as we had a drink. We were on the patio, this was June, and it's a really neat space as they can adjust the room to be more open or closed depending on how the weather is. Was an interesting feeling, felt like we were inside but with a nice breeze. For food we got the toasted raviolis to start, each of us got a salad, for entrees we got chicken parm and the rigatoni allá vodka with shrimp. They also gave complimentary bread that was very nice. I especially enjoyed my rigatoni allá vodka but everything was delicious and reasonable my priced. Food all came out fast and service was quick and friendly.
