It is definitely off the heated path, but not too far from central Houston. You order at the counter from the large menu, and one of the friendly employees will help you. Four out of the five of us had the chicken fried steak. There are two sizes available. These come with two sides. The onion rings are some of the best ever. The fried okra was exactly what we expected. The collard greens were well seasoned and exactly what Icc bc was looking for. The fresh house salad was huge with homemade dressings and pickled okra spears included. They also serve lots of burgers and numerous other entrees with lots of side dish options. I might also mention that the prices were quite reasonable considering portion size and quality. The ambience had everything from license plates aligned into the shape of Texas to singing and dancing Grinch. I would definitely pay a visit to this local establishment.
