I honestly don't write Yelp reviews very often, but Two Guys Barbershop definitely earned one. Finding a barber who can consistently give a clean fade isn't easy. I've been to shops all over Mesa and Gilbert, including V's Barbershop and several others, trying to find "my spot." I almost didn't write this because I don't want this place getting too busy, but these guys deserve the recognition. The shop is clean, everyone is welcoming and friendly, and most importantly--they know what they're doing with the clippers. Jonathan cut my hair, and he absolutely nailed it. The fade was clean, blended perfectly, and exactly what I was looking for. If you're picky about your haircut, especially if you like short, clean fades, I'd definitely recommend giving Two Guys Barbershop a try. I'm sure they can handle just about any style, but I can personally vouch for the quality of their fades. I don't frequent this place often but 3 years ago when I first tried it the guys were chill and it felt like an old school barbershop with guys just being guys. I went last week and not only did the prices go up to $30 a cut but the atmosphere was gone. It was very quiet and the old timers were no longer there. Best place around to get a flat top. It is a dying art for those that know how to do a flat top the right way. So if you want it done right, ask for Dora, she is the best! Very friendly and does a fantastic job. I have been going to this place for ten years or so when Ed owned it and he always did my hair. Thank goodness for Dora or I would have to find a new place. Prices have gone up a lot that I don't like, raised 50% since I have been going there but for a good haircut and conversation with Dora it is worth it. First, the good; Nice shop, very clean. Friendly and professional staff. I received a very nice haircut and excellent service. Barbers were spaced well apart, and waiting area chairs provide good social distancing. I was never closer than 10' from another patron. Recently, the barber I had been going to moved so I have been putting off trying to find a new place to go. Coincidentally, Two Guys Barbershop is right around the corner. I kept debating, looking up, asking around and finally just decided to make a trip in. I want to tell you not to go here because I don't want to wait behind you if you get there first, but this place is A+ so far. Granted, it has only been one visit. There are no appointments and it is on a first come basis. Cost is $20 flat as of this writing + a great tip for awesome service. This place is super patriotic and old school. They will greet you with a hello when you walk in but then you pretty much just wait until it is your turn, so pay attention to who gets there after you. I had Jake today and had a great cut. He was really friendly and did an awesome job. I joked that the clippers were so sharp I didn't even feel like he had cut any hair. I was pretty anxious to see what it looked like and was really happy with the outcome! I will be back here for sure. read more

I had been a few times out of desperation as my normal barber is not always avail and this last time I went and got some old guy that seemed nice enough but I think his vision is shot and hearing too because I showed him several photos of my hair and how I wear it and he completely fucked it up and all but shaved my head to a 3- 4 all around and left NO long hair up top ... Good haircut, but not a good experience. The barber spent more time talking to other customers and the other barbers than cutting my hair. Answered his phone twice during the job, once to confirm a pizza order. Then, CALLED THE PIZZA GUY BACK to give directions on how the pizza was to be sliced. Was a loyal customer until a friend went in right after me and overheard the guys talking about the "queer" who comes into their shop. They also stopped giving me military discount after this incident. This was brought up when I was talking to one of the barbers about AZ SB 1062. He indicated that he thought it should be legal for a business to kick out people based on their sexuality, religion or other reasons. Haircuts are good, not the best. When asking for skin the barbers wont go closer than a zero on the sides. I will never go back to this place full of closed-minded pundits. read more

Not to criticize the quality of haircuts, but instead, this barber shop's health practices. During an early afternoon visit on a busy Saturday, the hair accumulation deposited around each barber station was so thick the floor was barely visible. I can understand each barber wanting to get to the next customer as quickly as possible, but a quick sweep should not take much time. Being 20-30 years old and particular about who cuts my hair (as a rule I don't go anywhere with the words: cut, hair, sport,etc in the name), I was hesitant to trust the highly rated yelp reviews. This time my expectations were surpassed and I would return on a regular basis. The barbers working, three chipper gents, had personality, experience, and most importantly a stake in the business. At least one of them there was an owner. Price was $16 for a men's haircut. This did not include a wash, which you could get for $5. Also available was a hot shave for $25. Fair prices may be an understatement, I would pay $18 and be happy, $20 and think about whether or not it was worth it, but still get my cut. My suggestion for a cut at $16, bring a crisp $20 and leave the gratuity. These guys will deserve it. read more

I brought my boys in here without an appointment, and although there were a few people in front of us, they were able to move through the patrons quickly. My boys' haircuts turned out very good too. The decor was tasteful and not the typical "man-type" environment. The prices were reasonable as well. I would take the kids back there again. read more

After reading great reviews and hearing about the place from an acquaintance, I thought I would give the place a shot. The establishment is nice, the outside would leave you to think otherwise. Everyone one was greeted as they walked in, puzzling, I was not! I explained to Gordon that I wanted to leave the length on top and motioned with my hand to leave the length on the top of the sides and the higher part of the sides and to clip the lower sides. He advised that he understood. I went on to explain this a second time to which he explained he got it. The horror as I felt the clippers pass the ridge where the head starts curving upwards. I was left with a high and untight. I guess I should have explained in detail not to touch any of the hair on the top of the head, the parietal ridge, the top of the crown to where the end of the parietal ridge is at. I have been looking for a barber shop on my side of town for over a year now. I have had to travel to north phoenix (60 miles ) to get a quality hair cut and good service. I FINALLY found a GREAT barber shop in my neighborhood. This place had a an old world "Mayberry" feel to it that takes you back to an age in America when all was right in the world!! Greeting with a warm smile and a "come on in" attitude make this shop a pleasure to wait in. Beautiful sprawling hardwood floors cover the whole shop and makes me think that if I had the right secret handshake or code word they might offer me into the speak easy in the basement!!!
