I've been going to Geo's for 6 years and today was the last day I step into that barbershop. I always come in and let everyone cut my hair but today I decided I wanted to get a haircut from 1 of 3 people because they do a good job... I got asked if I was ready and I declined because I wanted to wait for 1 of the 3 barbers. They all heard and saw me decline the other barber. There was no mal intent with me declining the barber I just know the other ones gave a better haircut. I was ok with waiting because I wanted 1 of the 3 barbers.. 5 more clients came in and the guys I was waiting for just skipped me and went to the other guests?! There is no way you guys lack common sense right??? You see someone waiting and you guys don't ask or tell them you can't cut their hair?? Why let a customer just sit there and waste an hour and 45 minutes. Funny thing is they couldn't even look at me to tell me they couldn't cut my hair. This place is unprofessional and filled with guys who don't even take pride in their work. This place has declined drastically and these barbers definitely pick their friends instead of using a system they have in place. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Terrible experience and won't be recommending to any of my friends or family lol read more

Knew exactly what I needed and followed every detail perfectly! Definitely would recommend for anyone needing a good haircut and staff that understands what to do. Inside was nice and cool to get away from the heat with TVs to watch while getting a good cut. read more

First off this place is very unprofessional. Laughing at a customer just because they don't know the subtle terminology differences in hair styles is absolutely ridiculous. The barber did not listen to the requested hair cut and removed over 5-6 inches when a trim was requested. Not to mention with a straight razor the goal should not be to butcher the back of someone's neck for the sake of time. read more

Family and friends. I have visited a handful of barbershops in and around the Phoenix area. The last shop I visited made me wait two plus hours to later send me home with no haircut because they were too busy. This place is a cut above the rest. Great service. Appointments available. Clean barbershop. Highly recommended. Jordan read more

I walked into this place on a Friday at like 2pm. Place was packed with Joe's - like 20 people waiting. I received no hello. No hey take a number. No time scheduke. Nothing. It was like I was invisible. I have no idea how the place works as it just seemed like pure chaos. Sat down and realized I'd be sitting there until they closed so I just left. My only question is wtf was everyone parked? The lot was not packed. Did everyone walk there? Ride their scooters? I don't get it. Hard pass. read more

It was good til it lasted. If you value your time, dont come here. They dont honor the number system and will take the people they know instead. Waited an hour and a half and thats probably because I asked...like 10 people went before us, when there were supposed to be 3 only in front. Headed to another barber who does appointments. read more

Was in from out of town, this place is great. It's a legit barbershop for sure! They did an awesome job on my son's hair. Nice old school touch at the end with the hot towel and the talc powder. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Good barber shop if you have nothing else to do all day because you'll spend a very long time here. They don't staff accordingly, and take their friends that walk in before you while you've been sitting and waiting Been going here for years and it's just gone downhill while the prices continue to rise read more

I have seen this place on a weekly basis and was always curious about going in for a haircut for me and my sons and finally did so on a late Tuesday afternoon. The Good: The haircuts were well done and much better than where my boys and I got our haircuts previously. The neck shave was great as well. The not so good: I called beforehand and was told they close at 5:45pm but they advertise that they close at 6pm. I was also told they only did walk ins. We all needed a haircut pretty badly so I figured we would just go. They were pretty busy. We waited roughly 30 minutes to be seen. They operate on a "take a number" system. I payed $100 for our hair cuts including tip and was still charged a credit card fee. My haircut was $25 which is fine but their charge for kids is $24 so not much of a discount for kids. The benches seating for waiting customers are not very comfortable if you need to sit there longer than 5 minutes. You can't view the TVs from these benches. They face you away from the mirror to cut your hair. I am assuming this is to face you towards the TVs and to save room because the shop is a bit crowded and narrow. At the end of the day, our haircuts were very good and I am happy with the result. At the same time, there's too much competition in this market for me to return on a consistent bases. It might be worth a visit, but I would not take your kids especially if they waiting for long periods of time is challenging for them. read more

Ej or better known as "unc" gets me right everytime. Definitely recommend him and this shop.

Best cuts in Gilbert hands down! Highly recommend! The wait however is kinda long. But worth it! read more

My usual barber was closed for the day. I drive past this barber everyday and decided to give it a try. Asked for a mid burst skin fade and little off the top. They did an amazing job and the service immaculate. read more

Love Geo's barbershop, Geo is great with the clippers! Only downfall is waiting for the haircut because it's so busy.... But if its busy that means they are great at what they do read more

This place gives great haircuts 75% of the time depending on the barber. The other 25% I usually refer to barbers who give "lazy haircuts" where they pretend to understand what you want but just I their own thing instead because they don't have to put in much work and it's faster. Happened to me on Saturday. I still really recommend getting a haircut in this place. But be on the lookout who gives the haircut. You can usually sense how the haircut is going to go by the barbers attitude. I usually prefer to get my haircuts by the woman in the shop. In my experience, they just take their time and listen to what you really want. There never failed, even if there's a wait, I guarantee you it's worth it. I'm hoping that in the next 2-3 weeks my haircut experience is a little better and they listen to what the customer actually wants. Even if it's takes time and patience. read more

I took my homie here to get his haircut. I always see it's busy and the cuts looked good but to be honest these people wasted a lot of time and the cut my boy got wasnt even complicated, yet it took the barber a lot of work just to even look at his head and do barely more than one task before getting on his phone or talking to a coworker. There initially wasnt even an attempt to multi task, he stopped, walked away, showed his friend a video and then came back. After I started eyeing him, he started and stopped about every 15 seconds to keep watching his video. My cat has a better attention span and that's depressing. Hope to see this business thrive and enrich itself by hiring better. 20minutes to seat, 1hr for the haircut itself. I personally don't wanna plan my day around my slow and lazy barber. read more

I work 6 days a week and long hours. Always passed by and have been needing to find a spot because I just moved here. Called 5 min to close on a Thursday and explained I was 10 min away... they said they were full but would I could come Friday and they would hold me a spot. Came in on Friday like I said, a woman said that they were closed and not taking anymore customers. I explained the previous scenario and she said too bad they were closed. Horrible first impression. I guess this is southwestern hospitality. read more

I hadn't been here in a while due to Covid, but have been going here regularly again. It all depends on the barber...some are more chatty than others, and it depends on the customer...depends on whether you initiate conversation or not. I mention this because for me, getting a haircut, is more than removing hair...it's a time to socialize a bit...especially in this world of Zoom. So the barber I got today was conversational, and others are, too, if you have something to talk about. Plenty of TVs with sports on as well. The haircuts are universally good...only difference is some barbers pay a little more attention to the small details than others, but overall, if you want a good cut with a good vibe, you can't go wrong here. And children are welcome with their haircuts, too. read more

I went in a day before thanksgiving after not cutting my hair for 1 month thinking i was going to get out of there looking fresh, to my surprise my haircut was very unpleasing and i had to remind the guy to line me up. I shouldnt of opened my mouth because now my line is horrendous and my haircut looks horrible. Only reason i dont give this a 2 star is because my last experience here was great and because the fade is decent. Will definitely never getting my touched by jess ever again . Even though it was clearly unpleasing he also didnt offer to clean it read more

Place is nice and clean but they didn't listen at all when I told them what I wanted... I can no longer part my hair and it's going to take months to grow out to fix. Literally butchered my hair...100% why I cut my own hair and never put my hair in the hands of others.. 22 years been doing my own.. should have never gave this place a chance.... definitely won't be back. read more

I've been here about 7-8 times and had a new barber almost every time. Each haircut has been one of the best I've ever had, it's crazy the difference compared to Greatclips and all the other places I used to go. The wait is usually 45 mins to an hour when I go in the afternoons, but it's because they give amazing haircuts, so I can't complain. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a cut now read more

Geo's, pretty awesome barbershop! Here's the deal: my hair line is fading faster than niners fans recollection of their last Super Bowl. Not the easiest cut. Over the past 8 years I've had my hair cut by 3 barbers, two here in Phoenix and one in Chicago. I hit my fill of driving 30 minutes across the valley to get my hair cut every three weeks and decided to give Geo's a shot as they were just down the street. Turns out that I saved not only 30 minutes in the car but also six bucks a cut and the place was super solid. Geo's seems to be packed every time I go in which indicates the quality of work they do. This has forced me outside of my comfort zone and led me to have my hair cut by 5 different barbers in the past six months. All five knocked it out of the park. Final note, if you get a chance to get Nando as your barber, make sure to ask about how he started his business. The story will not disappoint: grit and hustle, family and friends. Thanks Geo's! read more

The wait time and fairness of how they pick who is next sucks. They use a ticket system just like in a deli. I waited 1 1/2 hrs and was supposed to be next when I was skipped over for someone who had three kids with him and was 4 numbers below me( they picked up ticket earlier and left, came back a while after I walked in). People come and pick up tickets then leave and come back hrs later. Just when you think you are next they take people that have numbers well below yours. It has happened to me the last three times I go for a cut. It's one thing if you are sitting waiting on a specific barber in the waiting room, but not cool if you leave to run errands and come back whenever and expect to cut the line when your number was already called a long while ago. Geo is a great barber, but the way they manage the wait line is horrible. I've been coming here for over a year and I am now forced to find a new barber, not going to put up with It anymore. The priority should go to folks sitting and waiting. Going for a haircut should not take hrs and be that stressful! Geo, I wish you luck but you're not getting my business nor my sons any longer. read more

Wait wasn't too bad maybe 15 mins. on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 pm. It was worth the wait because they did a great job on my son's hair. He's got a challenging head. Super thick and wavy with a cowlick on either side of his forehead, plus perfect swirl in the back that we lovingly call The Hairnado. This is the first and only time a barber looked at the picture on my phone and gave him the haircut in the photo. We will be back! read more

This plus is right next door to my house and I love it. I've been going since it opened. There's never a bad haircut. Honestly though it's got so busy thought it might not be worth the wait for me. Sometimes it takes 45mins to an hour of waiting. The most annoying thing is the random breaks that the barber takes. You're calculating to see how much longer you can wait and then when you're about ready to go and a barber just leaves for a break. I've asked when it's not busy because I've tried going in Wednesday mornings and they said it just always busy. Look through some of the pictures and you'll see a big wait in most of them. They use a ticket system. It really prevents you from leaving which sucks. They need an online reservation system or something or even something digital so we can grab a quick lunch next door or just walk around. I will confess that one of the barbers let it slip that there was another barbershop down the road who had a reservation system that's helpful for customers....I don't think you should have told me that because I just waited a long time to get my cut. I honestly don't want to leave but seriously these waits are getting ridiculous! It's like a gamble whenever you go in. Sometimes it's a 5 minute wait and other times it's a 50 minute wait. When you do go in when it's slow during your hair cut it literally just fills up with more customers. The cuts though are the best. Each barber takes their time in making sure everything is perfect. A cut takes more than 30 minutes because they take the care in making sure every hair is taken care of. It's a nice barbershop though. They are staffed well, free water, and they also use a air compressor to get hair off of you. This is the cleanest and nicest barbershop I've been to. read more

My boyfriend came to this establishment this week and when he came home I was in tears. They butchered his beard so horribly that it is going to take weeks to grow back. We were supposed to take pictures this week and now have to postpone because his beard is so horrible, which is going to cost us money and time. I cannot believe you would let a customer walk out looking like that. The gentleman who cut it shouldn't have any business being in this industry. Customer beware unless you want to look like a half butchered animal. read more

My go-to spot for a cut. Expect a wait because it is always busy and they take their time to give a great cut.

Geo is a great barber , very professional, he is a man with a true talent for making your hair look good and stylish. As a woman who tried all kinds of expensive hair salons I found Geo to be the best of all. After his artistic hair cut I am receiving so many compliments. He always listen what you want your hair to look like and with his magic hands he make your hair look even better than you imagine. His shop is very clean and neat, all tools in order and sterilize, his diffuser always working so you constantly inhaling organic essential oils that make you even more relaxed. read more

To much hair cut not faded right and messed me up the guy in the glasses don't got to hi

Walked in and the seats seemed crowded. Took and number and sat down. I'm looking at other clients getting their haircut and a few of them look great. I'm up to get mines cut, I asked for a high fade to a 0 on the sides with barely any trim on top. The lady cut my hair basically to a 3 and went way to far up on the fade. Not to mention she shaved off my sideburns and didn't even line me up like I asked to.. I have major OCD about my hair and have to wait to go to my friend all the way In NM just for a haircut because I can't seem to find a decent barber shop that actually makes you feel welcomed and does great work here in az. Now I have to grow my hair all the way back out and wait to find another barber shop elsewhere!.. read more

Spent over an hour patiently waiting to get a hair cut and watched multiple regulars cut in front of myself and others who were waiting. The customer service is bad. Wasn't busy when we went but the guy rushed the haircut for no reason and didn't even cut my boyfriend hair right. The fade was messed up and just wasn't good quality. The best fade shop in AZ for sure. The wait is worth it and I am actually a barber myself and worked for Nando for almost a year and learned a lot about fades from him and his staff about quality fades. I drive to this shop to get my haircut once a month. Be ready to wait but the wait is worth it and just remember a busy shop means the work is quality to attract the business. Family friendly great shop read more

Nando, Jessica and EJ -- give outstanding detailed cuts. I would give this place 6 stars but yelp won't let me. The other barbers are good too, but have yet to try them out. Be prepared to wait, and that is a good sign of a quality shop. They are always busy. I arrive looking tired and old and leave looking medicated and refreshed. I always get compliments on my haircuts. I cannot stress this enough, I love this shop --- I hate driving and make the trek once a month from central phoenix. They are worth the drive and the wait. read more

I would give Geos shop a 5 star cause Geo does a good job, but the whole take a number system is complete ridiculous. Do you know how much more clients you can get by doing appointments and if open take in walk ins. If you do just a walk in system you're bound to lose clients because of the ridiculous wait time. I would love to keep coming here but I think it's time to find someone else who can cut my hair with an appointment based system because I can not wait all the time for a wait time of over 2 1/2. Please come early as soon as they open if not you're screwed! People have a life and things to do. The wait is just dumb, and also for those who say they suck at cutting not true. You gotta be specific with what you want don't make it complicated for barbers people can't read your minds. read more
