As much as I've enjoyed their pastas I have noticed a some decline and probable changes. I've been a couple of times recently in the last couple of months and every time the sauces seemed a bit watered down and less flavorful. I also remembered their pastas coming with garlic bread but I had to order garlic bread the last time. Anyways, the actual cook of the pasta has been consistently good so I can't complain there. They aren't the quickest to get your food out but for the overall quality I am pretty much always willing to wait for well prepared food. As for ambiance, I mean it's a food truck so not much to say there.

After trying out a disappointing smash burger truck at the Lathrop Food Plaza I decided to try the…read moremini burger (slider) at this truck so I could end my night on a good note. Their slider comes with grilled onions, cheese and a horseradish aioli. All things considered $4 is a tad steep for a slider of that size but it's not TOO bad. Anyways theirs isn't a smash style slider. It's maybe a little thinner than your standard burger but mostly it's just an overall smaller patty. Some key notes: -beef had no flavor (was it seasoned?) -a bit too much bun in proportion to the patty -wish the onions were grilled a tad longer -could not taste any horse radish aioli (did they forget it?) OR... -Cheese drowned out the flavor of everything else. -patty was perfectly cooked. It was juicy and tender beef. Would I try it again? Well not the slider, but I'd consider trying their regular burgers because of the cook of the patty. I think maybe it was a half step above the smash burger from the other truck. As for service, their window was closed and the lady wasn't watching out for customers. She was just sitting in there looking away. It took her a while to notice me and I considered walking away. When I asked about how long it would take she said it would be less than 10 minutes; that was accurate so points for that. As for ambiance well it's a giant truck with most of their giant menu posted on one side of the truck. I wish they did a better job with editing the prices on their though. Looks like they blacked out old prices and hand wrote the new prices. That's fine but at least make it legible and/or use better ink or something that won't smear or fade so easily.

Against my better caloric judgement, I tried the chorizo smash burger. (How could I not opt for something as different??) It was one of the best burgers I've had in quite some time. It was full of flavor and has a nice kick to it that was balanced by the avocado. It's a huge burger, so make sure you have room! I'm also not all that crazy about French fries, but there was something about the ones with this burger that I really liked.

We tried a few donuts (the apple fritter and maple twist did not disappoint), and also a spinach, mushroom, egg and cheese croissant sandwich. That sandwich as so good! The service was so lovely and they moved very fast. Stockton doesn't have a ton of fast, local breakfast sandwich spots but this place fills a much needed niche. I'd come back here in an instant!

Everything is made fresh to order, but they currently only have one crepe pan so expect a bit of a wait since they can only make one by one, with parties generally ordering more than just one at a time. The Cheesecake Crepe has strawberries and nutella inside with a slice of cheesecake on top and is finished off with nutella drizzle, a tiny bit of strawberry syrup, powdered sugar and a dollop of whipped cream. The strawberries are so fresh, there is no shortage of nutella and the cheesecake was good, seems to be a store-bought cheesecake so nothing major to write home about but also nothing to complain about. The star of the show is definitely the actual crepe batter itself, it's thin while still having a nice bounce and chew to it and the flavor of the crepe has a faint aroma of vanilla which I loved. It paired perfectly with the sweetness of the nutella, but don't get me wrong, the entire thing is still on the sweeter side but is overall a great dessert. I genuinely think if they offered it at a lower price I would personally just get a crepe with strawberries and nutella inside and that's it. I don't need all that extra drizzle and sugar because the crepe itself is that good. The Dubai Crepe has strawberries, nutella and pistachio cream inside and is topped with more nutella, pistachio cream, kataifi, actual pistachios and a dollop of whipped cream as well. When eating I actually thought it was chocolate, not nutella which was great! The pistachio cream they use is GOOD quality, it was creamy and rich without losing any of the actual pistachio flavor. You could tell it wasn't that cheap pistachio cream which I appreciated! Again not skimpy at all with the strawberries and the crepe batter was divine! Highly recommend. I also got the Dubai Strawberry Cup which came with a huge cup of strawberries covered in nutella, pistachio cream, pistachios and kataifi. This tasted like the Dubai Crepe but without the crepe, fresh strawberries again as usual! Service was great, and it's in the same lot as Tacos a La Leña too. Definitely coming back

I really wanted to try their birria as it was recommended to me by a friend who had done some solar in the area. I ordered 3 of the quesa birria's which were $5 each. When I received my order the box was heavy and I could tell I ordered way too much. The quesa birria's were like mini quesadillas. Stuffed with lots of tender birria, cilantro and onions. Salsa was on the side. The crisp and color on the tortillas was perfect. I was excited to dig in. Each bite has a lot of cheese and juicy birria. This place was a great recommendation! There was some seating and a cover from the sun too if you plan to sit and eat your food while it's still hot and fresh.
