Delicious large potions. Friendly service. I got the pastor taco, 1 cheese and jalapeño, and 1 cheese and beans. Very yummy.

As someone who personally deals with food sensitivities and was recently diagnosed with celiac…read moredisease, I understand how serious dietary concerns can be. Because of that, I also understand it's my personal responsibility and discretion when choosing where to eat. Not every restaurant is able to operate as a completely gluten-free facility or disclose every detail of proprietary family recipes, and that is ultimately the restaurant owner's choice. As someone who manages my own medical condition and sensitivities, I can recognize that accommodations may be limited depending on how a business operates. In my personal experience, El Patio has always been professional, respectful, and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and family-oriented. I have never felt dismissed or mistreated here. I can genuinely feel how much care, hard work, and pride go into both the food and the family recipes. I'm proud to support this family-owned business and appreciate the honesty they provide about what they can and cannot accommodate. As someone navigating my own health struggles, I believe respect and personal accountability are important for me to have when dining out with my own dietary restrictions. Thank you El Patio! I'm always grateful for your kindness shown every time I visit!

What upset me the most was the complete lack of compassion and professionalism shown by the owner. When I tried to politely communicate my food allergy, instead of being met with understanding or concern, I felt belittled and dismissed. The owner's tone and overall demeanor toward me were incredibly disrespectful and made me feel embarrassed for simply trying to protect my health. Food allergies are not preferences or inconveniences -- they are serious medical concerns. Any restaurant owner should understand the importance of treating customers with care and respect when these issues are brought up. Instead, I was made to feel like I was overreacting or causing a problem, which was both frustrating and hurtful. A situation like this could have easily been handled with kindness, patience, and professionalism. Even if accommodations could not be made, there are respectful ways to communicate that to a customer. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here at all. I left feeling extremely disappointed, uncomfortable, and honestly saddened by the lack of empathy shown. I hope this restaurant takes food allergies more seriously moving forward and learns how important basic compassion and customer service truly are.
