When you see the bread carts rolling from the back kitchen Go!!!! They are decently priced and portioned. Fresh and soft. They are not just a bakery but also have a variety of Mexican dishes. Great atmosphere and you can also dine in. Check out their beautiful cakes as well. read more

Decided to try this place for a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. I called it in before I arrived and I was not disappointed. The restaurant itself was clean and they had all of the menu items posted and they had an area for fresh pan. You might have a little trouble ordering if you don't understand a little Spanish but that didn't slow down my order. This burrito is great for size, taste, and price. It tastes just like someone's mom made it for you with fresh made tortilla and good quality chorizo perfectly cooked potatoes and good flavor no sauce needed. Definitely coming back for the Chile Colorado burrito and some tacos. read more

La Yolanda - Green chilaquiles with carne asada - Bakeries Near Me - Stockton, California

I was in the area, made a pit stop heading back home to Los Angeles. My family love pan dulce and we had to try. It was pretty good our favorite were the empanadas filled with the jelly. read more

Had some idle time and was craving a burrito. Did a search for Mexican food near me and La Yolanda popped up as a location close by. Saw someone comment on their hot food (chilaquiles and burritos) even though it appears to be a bakery. La Yolanda was about a 5-min walk so I decided to go for it. It is a place I would easily pass by without a thought. Inside is unassuming, no menus on the walls, but a few pictures near the counter with pictures of food items and prices on the pictures. Large case of delicious looking pastries and baked goodies. Eight to ten tables, half are booths along the front window. Mounted from the ceiling was one was TV from which I heard Spanish being spoken. I looked at all the baked goods, but since I was craving savory, I stuck with ordering a burrito. A soft-spoken young woman behind the counter took my order. I told her I just wanted a burrito and asked if they had chili Colorado, and if not, chicken would be great. She said she would ask in the back, took my order, I paid for the burrito ($9.99, but totaled $10.89 including tax) and she went back to the kitchen. While I waited I looked again at the baked goods and saw a sign on the case with fruit filled pastries, and decided I should try one with guava (just $1.50 each!) However, I had no idea which of them were the guava pastries, so I went back to the counter to ask for help. There was a couple who had just taken their selected pastries to the counter, so I waited to for the employee to complete the transaction with them. She then went to look at the pastries and when she came over to me, broke the bad news that all the guava pastries were gone. Another Yelp reviewer suggested ordering 10-15min ahead, I think that was good advice, and should have heeded it, but figured I'd wing it. I ended up waiting close to 15min waiting for my burrito, and was so happy to receive my order, nice and hot, from a woman who brought it to me from their kitchen. My burrito was hefty, and my stomach was growling... I didn't want to wait until I got back to my destination, so I unwrapped one end as I was walking back, and dug in. I didn't know if my burrito was chili Colorado or chicken, but at that point it didn't matter. Took a bite and found it was the former. It was good, hot, the beef was tender and nicely flavored, accompanied with refried beans, cheese and rice. I was a happy camper! I ended up polishing off half of the burrito, saving the other half for lunch. I would go back again if I am in the area. Very curious to try the guava filled pastry. read more

My husband has returned for the pan dulce as it's one of the closer panaderías. They have now added cabinet doors to the shelves. The pan dulce is decent and my kids like it, I still think its on the drier side. We have tried the tamales and they were super fresh and flavorful however very little meat. read more

Tamales are fantastic!!!! Service very attentive. The pan dulce was soso. Interesting set up.

It was my first time visiting. Wow I was amazed how friendly & great customer service. They all are so helpful. The bread was so fresh. I will be going back. I will have lunch next time. read more

I was pretty unimpressed on my last 3 visits...the pan dulce tastes good but has been dry and seems like it may be from the previous day. And this isn't the bagged up bread that's on sale. This is supposed to be the fresh bread that's on the trays. Maybe it's because they aren't stored in a cabinet like most bakeries and are just sitting out? I'm bummed though since they are located right down the street from where I work so they were really convenient. From now on I'll have to stick to Sahuayo or El Dorado Market for my sweet bread cravings. read more

We've stopped for breakfast and although I won't speak on the ambiance I can say the customer service was very good at the counter. It is a new restaurant to us so I don't know how long they've been open. So when you're hungry for authentic Mexican food, it was good, freshly cooked food. read more

This is a humble restaurant but they have great food and pan dulce. One of those places that you're not sure if it will be good. It is a little rough around the edges, and the kitchen seem to be run by a single person. Still they push food out, and not just any food. Quality food. read more

Best breakfast burrito place for the money! With prices increasing, this place has a huge breakfast burrito made with handmade tortilla and fresh ingredients. Just make sure you call about 10 or 15 minutes as they make it fresh. $10 including drink. Burritos are big enough to eat 1/2 and save the other for lunch, so delicious it may not make it to the lunch hour. read more

Staff super sweet, the burritos were sooo good! Totally recommend. Don't live in the area but totally will come back

Customer service was horrible. They had us here waiting for more than an hour because they needed a guy. They didn't even call the guy to ask when he's coming or even offer us a seat. If I could I won't leave leave a !!! read more

I went to La Yolanda a few times to buy some Mexican pastures, or pan dulce. The place itself isn't well put together. There are racks and pans everywhere, not a lot of seating and it seems like a hazardous mess. The pan dulce was decent, or average, but wasn't anything special. Their options in pan dulce was also limited. I was hoping for more variety, but it seemed as if they only made a few common pieces of pan dulce. The older woman who helped was sweet, but it also took awhile for someone to come out of the back to assist me. I wish I had a more positive experience for this small family restaurant. read more

So today I came here for some tamales and some bolo bread, so I can make some sandwiches later. I come here from time to time to get some pandulce (Mexican sweet bread) for the kids. I really like the bolo bread here. I buy them when I attempt to make a somewhat okay Torta for lunch or dinner. :) I really don't buy single pandulce, mainly the ones already pre-bagged for $1.50 But the singles are .50 cents each. For us it's a good buy. The tamales are pretty good here as well. My youngest likes them from here. So I'll get her some like I did today. The customer service is pretty good here too. I had never had any problems whatsoever. Also they take cash, credit and debit. So yeah, I'll be definitely be coming back here to get the stuff we usually get. La Yolanda - Bakeries Near Me - Stockton, California

This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant/bakery or panaderia in Stockton. Today I came to town for a medical appointment and right after I decided to get me some huevos, con arroz y frijoles, and ran into this place by accident because it is not listed as a restaurant. To make a long story short, their food is just amazing, and for very affordable prices. Their customer service is outstanding, and they serve you well. I strongly recommend this panaderia-restaurant if you're in the neighborhood, or if you are just looking for a great affordable place to eat. Plus you can take some sweet mexican bread home too. Great spot. Thanks for taking the time to read my review, GOD Bless. read more

I went around 2pm yesterday and they were out of chicken tamales (must be their most popular ??) Today getting there at 9a (i had to wait only 5mins. and they had only 10, I got another two pork to complete my dozen order). A little more than I remember buying a dozen for (comparing to other places; $18dzn) BUT still very good for not having to travel super south or north to get quality tamales. With a name like Panaderia, I figured I try their empanadas (pineapple, custard, and pumpkin) I think the pineapple and custard were a bit dry and not as filled as I like; pumpkin was good, the bread was nicely flavored and moist, and there was a good amount of filling for it. I hope this helps anyone looking for a more centrally located place to buy tamales. However they are only open M-F and please recall they do run out of tamales or may not have them right as they open. I suggest call before visiting. read more

Zero stars simple as that . Ordered a caked briefly explain the baker what kind what color the size we both even looked through his own work so I can have an idea on how I wanted my boyfriends cake and got a girl Cake !!! The cake was suppose to be blue and white and I got a salmon pink brownish girly cake ! Straight up I could t believe it . I paid 78 for half a sheet . Not close to how I wanted it and to the point I thought they were giving me the wrong cake ! They took extra long to add a boy"blue" color at least and didn't help me at all as how they were before I spoke about the cake & asked nicely if it can be fixed . Worst place !!! read more

You guys have to try the carne asada tortas, they are so good ! Best ones I have tasted yet

Everytime I go there, I'm always disappointed. Pan dulce is old and dry... tamales .... Winco is better.

Don't be fooled or scared away by the no-frills nature of the place. Their savory food is so good. Who knew?! We needed a quick bite before heading back to SF, so my boss and I decided to be adventuresome and stop looking for something fancy (after all, it's Stockton). He had the tamales, which he loved, and I had the green soup with pinto beans and carne asada, as well as the street tacos (soft chicken tacos). Everything was delicious! So good! And their chips and salsa, also great. Don't expect a fancy lunch, but do expect delicious food and enough soup for lunch the next day. read more

We love the Tamales here! The pork is not pulled but it's in big chunks it's delicious. The Masa is seasoned nicely the chicken Chile Verde is not too spicy but the Jalapenos and cheese is just the right amount of heat from the Jalapenos! Never would I refer this bakery for cakes. Ordered a tres leche cake with mocha, "mocha" only tasted like chocolate. Took the cake back to the bakery to explain to the lady the situation. She explain that their mocha is made differently, I stated to her that it's something she should explain to any customer so they won't expect an actually mocha taste.. overall horrible cake completely horrible. Unfortunately Only rated this place with a star so I could POST my review, but I mean what did I EXPECT the place isn't even completely put together, the pan dulce looks dry, the racks are even place together there everywhere. Horrible place.. read more
