Find them at the food truck plaza in Lathrop off I-5. Hubby and I finally got to check out this plaza we always passed by on the freeway. The guy who took our order welcomed us with a big smile! I think that is rare to find these days. (4.5/5) - Garlic Shrimp plate - $16 Jumbo shrimp! shell on, and deveined. I don't mind the shell on. garlic sauce was delicioussss and got into the crevices so the shrimp meat got the sauce too and not just coating the shell. The sauce was also on the rice. Very good garlic sauce and generous! The side of mac was ok, maybe a little on the tougher side, idk if being in the fridge for too long made the noodles a little hard. I like my mac noodles a little tender. (3.5/5) Chicken katsu curry- $16 When it comes to Hawaiian/Japanese food, Hubby loves his chicken katsu curry. Unfortunately we felt the chicken was a bit soggy and didn't have that crunchy exterior. The chicken was also on the drier side. The curry sauce was very good though, just wish there was more sauce for the amount of chicken there was.
Food Truck #5 I was looking for some Hawaiian food in the area and spotted Agsalda on IG. We decided to come here on Saturday. Unfortunately when we came they were only offering three items off their menu. I wanted to try their Kalbi but that is only offered on weekdays. We ordered all three items they were offering. Loco Moco (5/5) - this dish has rice over a juicy hamburger patty topped with their special island brown gravy with a side of mac salad. My boyfriend chose this dish. This is his go-to Hawaiian dish. He really liked how this tasted. The dish was well seasoned. Garlic shrimp (5/5)- this dish has jumbo shrimp cooked in their Hawaiian style garlic butter sauce served over rice with a side of mac salad. I chose this one. This dish is so flavorful. It had a creamy garlic sauce. My only complaint was that I wished they had taken the shells off the shrimp. Malasadas (4/5)- you get to pick 2 flavors. One order comes with 10 pieces. We got two popular flavors which are banana and cookies n cream. We liked the banana flavor. The flavor pops out. Overall, great food! Can't wait to try out their other dishes that they offer during the week.
**Update** I've come back here almost every month from the Bay. Quality is still there. I got zero complaints other than I gotta wait an hour on the drive there. Just had their Masubis, mochiko chicken, and chicken katsu curry. God damn. Honestly if they had a location in the bay, it would do hella good. My family has not gotten anything we haven't liked. I fucks with y'all. L&L, and Ono better watch out.
Food was yummy. The macaroni salad had a seafood taste, not in a bad way. You can tell it's their recipe and not a premade side. The chicken katsu curry was a lot. They did not skimp out on their portions.

Saved me a trip to Stockton, but you most definitely have to try em!
First time visiting Lathrop Food Park while driving down the 5 freeway. Decided to try Agsalda since I had very fond memories of the food in Hawaii, especially the food trucks. I was disappointed. The food was just okay. I ordered the Kahlúa pig grilled cheese. It was nothing special. Service was really slow too considering no one else was ordering from the truck.
Smiling, friendly greeting when I walked up. Island Reggae music playing to set the mood so I had to try the malasadas. Freshly made when ordered. Pistachio and Coconut malasadas are so creamy and warm! Definitely will return and try other flavors!
I've been so excited to try this place out. Hubby was driving by the Lathrop Food Plaza and ordered us their Kalua Pork Fries and Garlic Shrimp plates. The Kalua Pork was tasty AF. The pork had a great smokiness to it. The sauces brought the whole dish together. My only complaint, and I know I'm just being picky, is that the fries could have been fried just a touch longer. They were on the pale side and weren't able to hold up as much to the toppings. The Garlic Shrimp is also a great dish. Each succulent piece of shrimp was coated in the creamy garlic sauce. The macaroni salad was a flavor bomb. Only gripe is that I wish the garlic sauce had a little bit of acid or heat in it to balance out with the mac salad. Overall a great food truck in the LFP. Can't wait to get my hands on their malasadas next time!
Me &- my bf came to the Lathrop Food Truck Spot. It was our first time &- found this gem of a spot on IG! Originally from Tracy &- sadly no Hawaiian food out here that could compare to the island. I got the kalua pork plate, it came with 2 scoops of white rice, 1 scoop of mac salad and then loads of the kalua pork. I loved that the pork was shredded and the lettuce in it wasn't too overwhelming. Overall, def a great balance! We finished our plate and had to go back for the POG (passion fruit, orange &-guava) Lemonade. Will be back for sure, great service!
Decided to try the malasadas here after hearing they are at the Lathrop Food Truck Plaza now and we LOVED them. The donuts are the perfect size and they each had the perfect amount of filling and not too sweet either! We got chocolate, banana, pistachio, taro, and another flavor I can't remember. I especially loved the pistachio! My kids enjoyed them also and was the perfect single serving size for them. We enjoyed eating them out of trunk at the food truck plaza :)
OMG!!! My husband just came home with an assortment of malasadas. I have to says these are so much better than Leonards. I had to restrain myself from eating the entire box. Last week I went in and got the garlic shrimp. ONO!!!!! I was expecting something like Giovanni's garlic shrimp truck on north shore but this garlic shrimp is different but delicious in a great way. I plan on trying everything on their menu. So authenticity Hawaiian with a twist here and there. Excited to try the loco moco. Two patties as it should be. Mahalo Agsalda.
Best Hawaiian food in the 209! Finally somewhere good to eat in Lathrop. These places are hard to come by! We've been supporting these guys for a few years now and they never disappoint. The food is always smackin! We've tried everything on the menu and cannot pick a favorite cause it's all so good. I ordered the garlic shrimp plate and Musubi. I didn't realize that the shrimp came with the shell on... Not a dealbreaker, but definitely quite messy considering the shrimp was swimming in garlic and butter. Flavor wise, it was fairly good. The shrimp was a touch overcooked/on the tough side, but I could see myself heading back to try something different. If I had the option, I'd rate this particular truck a 3.5 more so than a 3, but not quite a 4 yet. read more
Glad they are back! Stopped by to try their shrimp plate and was not disappointed!! Big shrimp, lots of butter and garlic, rice and mac salad. If you have time to stop by the Lathrop Food Truck park look up Agsalda down towards the end. You'll love it. read more

Tried them first time at Aloha Sunday @ The Creative Space in Sacramento. Fresh, Hot, and not over cooked. These little pieces of deliciousness brought me back to the island after the first bite. They are the best malasadas I've had on the mainland. read more

I went to Agsalda's for the first time on Wednesday around my lunch time and had the chance to talk to one of the co-owners Brandon Agsalda and he was a really nice guy. Real friendly dude, who makes you feel welcome to try his food. He told me a bit about his time living in Hawaii and how this food truck really is the embodiment of all of the childhood favorites he and his brother/co-owner Darryn enjoyed growing up. They weren't open quite yet at that time, but I came back a few hours later and got the Kalua pork fries, the pork adobo rice omelette, the Kalua pork plate, and an order of spam musubi. I came back this Friday and ordered the Loco Moco, the shrimp plate, Their P.O.G juice and 2 orders of musubi. 1. Kalua pork fries: These were incredible! The fries were crispy on the outside and flaky on the interior. The pork was piled on heavy, and the condiments to top it off (Japanese Mayo? and another sauce idk what ) and the shake of furikake really made this dish a masterwork. 2. Pork adobo rice omelette: This item was really good, a thin egg omelette that was wrapped around some adobo fried rice that was seasoned to perfection and it came out piping hot too. I couldn't finish it all so I saved the other half for my dinner and it tasted just as good re-heated. 3. Kalua pork plate: This dish was really tasty. The shredded pork came with what I'm assuming to be teriyaki sauce, 2 scoops of rice, and the Mac salad. What remaining pork I didn't finish I ate with some left over rice for my midnight snack. 4. Spam musubi: An absolute certified banger! Thick bed of rice to balance out the salty spam and a layer of Mayo in between to keep it moist. 10/10! 5. Loco Moco: This is my absolute favorite item on the menu I've tried so far. Just got two root canals and could barely open my mouth let alone eat anything firmer than oatmeal. But the soft burger patties that were perfectly seasoned, with two eggs over a bed of rice slathered with a layer of gravy not only left me full but definitely helped the healing process. 6. Shrimp plate: The shrimp plate is definitely an elite menu item! Perfectly cooked/seasoned shrimp with bits of garlic slathered in a white sauce accompanied by rice and the phenomenal macaroni salad. Agsalda food co has grabbed me by the taste buds and doesn't seem to want to let go anytime soon. The P.O.G juice was phenomenal as well. I'll probably be back next week for more! read more

This was one of the best dishes I've ever had in my life. You can really tell that they care about their craft from the presentation to the overall quality of the food. I would say this rivals local food from home. I am very impressed! From the Loco Moco to the Adobo Fried Rice wrapped in an omelette, all very onolicious! The malasadas are tasty and they offer a variety of fillings. I've ordered the Spam Musubi's from here and those hit the spot. It's a good ratio of rice to spam and adding the furikake was a pleasant yet tasty surprise. As a matter of fact, furikake was added to all the plates I've had here so far. The service is top notch and there was aloha with every order taken so far I can only say good things about this place. One suggestion is, hurry up and get a restaurant so you folks can offer more on the menu! read more

FINALLY, had the chance to try out THE famous KALUA PORK FRIES. The fries were cooked to perfection and the portions are huuuge! The Kalua pork has sooo much flavor and is super tender. I also tried their spam musubi which were delicious and simple. Just how I like my musubis! Their service is my favorite as the owners really make you feel like family. Ambiance here is great as there are variety of food trucks. Overall a great experience with this truck! Can't wait to try out their other items. read more
