Want to know a secret? Your kids still believe in Santa even though they profess they don't. One way to find out is to challenge them to "Save Christmas" at Twisted Time Escape Room. I never grew up with Christmas but I knew all the Christmas carols and the traditions, so I recognize the time and effort that it took to make these rooms "magical". The premise is simple, your group (youngest should be at least 6 years old) is recruited to save Christmas by solving puzzles riddled with Christmas references. Some of them are really hard and we kept on asking for clues. In this case, we would shout out "we believe", but the majority of the puzzles were pretty simple and easy, if you pay attention. The older kids in my group were too cool at first (8 year olds) but towards the end they were shouting "we believe" as loudly as the younger ones. I commend the puzzle makers for making it so engaging for not only adults but younger kids that have limited attention spans. My son has ADHD so it's really hard to have him be focused on something. However he was 100% into this. He wanted to save Christmas. The younger ones were really able to help out with some of the easier puzzles, just manually manipulating items. What I really truly appreciated, was the fact that it made my husband and I engage with the kids in a really fun and interactive way. We ended up splitting up into teams to work with each child and it worked out really well so I recommend if you bring younger kids under 10 to have an adult engage with them. Their point of view proved valuable, literally, as some of the items were not in our line of sight but in theirs. ‍ I can't say much about the escape room other than the fact that it was really fun and I want to do it again with other groups just to see the kids get into it. We did win with lots of hints and it was extremely satisfying. Afterwards we exchanged gifts and went outside and it was snowing. Magic. I might even do it for a birthday party. So if you're looking for something that's extraordinary this holiday season that will bring your family together and celebrate Christmas, I highly recommend this escape room.

We had a chance to explore the "7 Deadly sins" room and this wasn't a simple walk in the park. During intro and orientation, our guide was super quick to let us know that we selected the hardest room they are currently featuring haha. The clues, props, rooms, and puzzles were all so unique which was refreshing. I have to say the level of detail throughout the space including the party room and lobby was notable. There were six of us and we managed to escape with our souls intact with about two minutes to spare. Only downfall though is their pricing of alcoholic beverages. Their prices should definitely be disclosed as we learned after ordering them that two white claws was going to be $21. If they want to succeed and have a top of mind business set for those who are of legal drinking age, they have to adjust the pricing. If you arrive early enjoy your time in the lobby and check out all the details. Almost felt like we were in a pub in London or the UK somewhere. The little robot steampunk lamps were my fave.

The hints were correct with our answers. The girl came in and couldn't get the keypad to work either. We lost time on faulty door locks. Needless to say, it's a corporate national business and the attitude of the employees reflect it. They care about their paychecks and nothing else. To their credit, the rooms were like movie sets. Just amazing. Outside of that, I'm never going back. For all who read my review. Let's go to the local escape rooms and drive this one out of business. I hope to see a "For sale or lease" Sign on their front door some day soon.

We lost some time at the beginning, but once we got the hang of it, we got on a roll. Definitely a great way to spend an evening, and I'm sure we'll be back to do the other adventure.

First time trying an escape room and both me and my 13 year old little (Big Brother Big Sister…read moreprogram) loved it! I won't give any spoilers but we had a great time trying to solve the various mysteries and puzzles to (shocker) try and escape. We did the Claim the Throne quest and it's def pretty tough for two. I booked an appt online for two the day before. Cost was 20 dollars a person which is fairly reasonable. We received a courtesy call from the establishment 15 minutes before our start time due to their concern about traffic from the UTEP monster truck rally. Super thoughtful of them! Thankfully we were already pulling in. Upon arrival we met with hour host. I didn't catch her name but she was very sweet and friendly. She provided the basic rules and took our phones (placed in a lock box in our room with us). This was to prevent people from taking photos and ruining the surprises! You go in the room and a short video plays to lay out the story. The only negative was the audio quality was bad so it was hard to hear. From there you begin. Your host monitors you from another room and provides tips and hints if you need it. I won't say anything further so as to not ruin anything. But the puzzles are tough and make you think. We had a great time. I would def go back to try their other room.

"Great group activity!"…read more Today we visited the red door escape room! A party of four was perfect. We decided for our first escape room we would choose the adventure, 'taken'. It was a level 9/10 difficulty listed online. For starters, upon arrival, my party was a little bit late, with a 10 minute grace period, staff were more than kind with understanding our tardiness. We still got to play. Easy and clear instructions were given with the Do's and Don'ts. Our escape room, without any spoilers, was fun for all of us. We really had to use our brains and come together to figure the puzzles out. We had an hour to complete and did it in classic mode. 3 hints only allowed given. We all agreed that was the perfect amount of hints for this room. Overall great time! The rooms were clean, all props were clean. No weird smells, it wasn't uncomfortable to be a part of at all. The price I would say is definitely not cheap. But not expensive either. As long as each member is paying for their own entry then I don't see a problem. Paying for a whole group however might not be ideal. Be mindful if you are looking for a more budget friendly experience. Overall thank you Red Door! We had a blast!
