Lexi was awesome. It was my first time and he explained everything very well. Thanks for making it a fun experience

This was our second time here and it did not disappoint. This place is amazing. Had sooo much fun escaping their La Llorona room. It was challenging and the game master was awesome giving us a few jump scares. Can't wait to do their other rooms. read more

We loved our first time at Operation Outbreak. Game master Norbz was awesome and the Last Breath room was very challenging. Trying to stay a step ahead of a serial killer is a tricky game but we had fun throughout our hour long adventure. Come check it out in El Paso. read more

I played the temple of doom. It was overall good however I disagree with the Morse code puzzle and I think it needs to be looked at again. Everyone in my group, even those familiar with Morse code, disagreed with their answer for the first digit and as a result we lost so much time. I believe if you have a puzzle and the logics behind the puzzle has been figured out and 9/10 persons are getting similar answers but those answers are wrong then your puzzle needs to be reexamined. Without giving away too much of a spoiler you can't have everyone seeing 20 blinks and you saying it's 19 blinks. We can't all be counting the same things getting similar answers and you are saying no it looks like 20 but it's really 19 blinks. And not passing one puzzle is enough to stop the game. And hints doesn't help this problem because like we said we already figured out the principle behind that specific puzzle. It was great otherwise, but I can't give anything higher than a 3 star unless the puzzles flow as they should. The staff were wonderful though. read more

The escape rooms at Operation Outbreak are really well executed. They have a strong theme to them, and the puzzles tend to be more interesting or interactive than in other escape rooms we've done in the area. So far, our team has done Temple of Doom, Area 915, and Cartel, and all three had some fantastic visual theming that really makes you feel transported to another place. Puzzles have been a satisfying mix of deduction, logic, and physical manipulation, which ensure there's a good variety and maintains interest during play. We didn't feel any puzzles were too hard or too easy - the difficulty felt about right. (YMMV of course.) And importantly, in the few cases where we've needed a hint, the hint seemed carefully crafted to give us just the right information to help us still realize the solution ourselves without it being a "gimme", helpful but not hand-holdy, which is an often-overlooked measure of an escape room. And the puzzles are usually tied to the theme quite well, which helps maintain the immersion. The staff are friendly and helpful, hints come quick when you ask for them, and the theme comes through strong. While I'm glad they're not the only escape game facility in El Paso, Operation Outbreak is my favorite by a good margin, and their rooms are well worth the price of admission. Strongly recommend if you're looking for an escape room experience. read more

We did the Cartel escape room this weekend. It was so much fun! The staff was amazing and it was very challenging but doable! I would highly recommend! read more

Operation Outbreak - We made it out alive (barely... we had one minute to spare)! - Escape Games Near Me - El Paso, Texas

THE most fun! I'm in EP for work this week, and one of my genius coworkers suggested an escape room. YES TO THAT, I replied. There were 8 of us doing the Sherlock room, and we made it in the nick of time. We worked together well to carefully unlock the room's many secrets. It really was a great time... so great, in fact, that 7 of us stayed to do the 2nd room. Which we crushed, BTW. I cannot recommend this highly enough! Great fun, great staff, great ideas, and a great challenge. * A coworker suggested this be done by couples prior to marriage or perhaps living together. Add it to the pre cana! Perhaps invite the in-laws so you know in advance if your likely to survive each other. read more

Operation Outbreak - Winner winner chicken dinner. #1 time record!!! - Escape Games Near Me - El Paso, Texas

This place was the perfect place for our family to gather the day after thanksgiving and play as a team! We went with The heist, and let me tell you, it's CHALLENGING! But that being said it was four adults and two helpful nieces 9-10. They guy working there(sorry I forgot his name, but started with an M) was very helpful. We really enjoyed our time. Wouldn't recommend the hardest room for kiddos lol it just worked out perfectly for the time we wanted to go. read more

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!! My son had been wanting us to go do the TNT room. It was amazing. Tons of fun, this is the 3rd room we have done, and it has been my favorite! The room will be retired soon, I definitely recommend doing it before it's gone. Love the story and the puzzles. Patty and Oscar were the best hosts...they made our experience even more enjoyable! read more

The people working there were SUPER nice and let us add a few people on arrival (even 1 over the allowed). They were funny, and explained everything well and quick. The only reason why I wouldn't give 5 stars was because I've been to other escape rooms where I live, that are less expensive and actually more intricate in nature. I feel like for the high price tag the rooms would have better thought puzzles and such. read more

Amazing room with realistic decor. Our room master Norbz was helpful and very knowledgable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun date or family night! read more

No better escape room in town my friends! Every room is well done and so much fun! Make sure and try every room available while they last!

Cleverly designed escape room! Not as high tech as some of the fancy ones in other cities, but Operation Outbreak makes up for this with creativity. The layout is thoughtful, so our experience was puzzling, but fair! I have done a couple before, so I was worried it might not be challenging enough, since there aren't too many businesses to compete with in El Paso. But a group of 7 of us barely finished the Baker St, Mystery with minutes to spare! First of all, it was a great theme. The props were all fitting and made for a really fun setting. Who doesn't love Sherlock?! You can tell the owners spent a lot of time cultivating the entire hour. The clues are tricky and challenging, but also exciting. I have been to some escape rooms where the clues are either overly obvious, or they are so wildly confusing that it's just not fun to go through. This place is thought provoking and gratifying to solve. Obviously I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the inside, but it's totally worth checking out. I am definitely coming back to try the zombie themed room! read more

Awesome experience had so much fun! Definitely trying this again, kinda difficult but the staff was super friendly and helpful!

El paso you don't disappoint me. Operation out break is one of a few escape rooms of El Paso. I Think their customer service may set them apart. Super friendly group of staff who is proud of their rooms. So I may call them the Ma and Pa of escape rooms. We went w/o reservation and happen to be lucky. THey offered "Scary vs adventure" The clues are... well... took a while to understand it but it definately gets your brain racking. After your done you get to take as much pictures and send them to your phone which is a super plus. SO if you got time to spend... spend it and operation outbreak. read more

They put us in the "Last Breath" escape room which was a serial killer themed room. At first I thought these puzzles were cheesier than Velveeta, but after actually doing it, I had a blast. Well put together puzzle and clues. I felt like I was a hostage from the movie Saw. I'd definitely come again and try another themed room. read more

My girlfriend and I did Rapture Bank Heist 2.0 last night and absolutely loved it! It was very challenging but at the same time very fun. We loved it so much that we did another escape room that same night. We attempted Last Breath, a very scary themed escape room. Like literally terrifying. Not for the faint of heart. Our game room host was very professional and very friendly as well. Be sure to check them out on the weekend or whenever you have some free time! We're going back tonight to do Burial at Sea tonight and can't wait! read more

This is a great place, also This is a locally owned and designed escape room!! It definitely feels different than some chain brands of escape rooms - there was more code breaking and some unexpected surprises! We did the Baker Street one with 8 people and got out in 50 minutes! I would maybe recommend going at a less busy time (like a weekday or earlier in the day) if you want a smaller group with a room to yourself. We spoke with the owner on our way out. He was really nice. He said they are planning to expand with another room by March 2019, and another possible location by Utep sometime! Note - the escape room is across from the All States motel. The sign is in the corner of a shopping center so it may be easy to miss when you drive by. There is parking in front. Also maybe leave your larger items (jackets etc) in the car, they don't have lockers but there is a box for some personal items like a purse, to keep in the room with you. read more

It was really fun. We did start later than we had scheduled but we didn't mind. The clues are ok but some are a little confusing. For example the lock combinations that tell you to half them, even numbers are appreciated as when you "round" you don't know to round up or down. Anyways, it was fun. read more

Me and my girlfriend did the room called "asylum". 10/10 scary and hard haha! But we made it halfway through and the whole time we were laughing and screaming. It was so much fun and definitely made you think. The staff were absolutely sweet and amazing. Definitely will come back and definitely recommend! read more

Went in without a reservation and was still able to get into a room. It wasn't as flashy as the other escape rooms we've been to and there were more distraction clues (pointless clues) than we were used to, but we had a good time. It always nice when you're able to escape. We'll be back! read more

My husband and 2 other friends just experienced one of the 4 escape rooms Operation Outbreak has to offer. The room we chose was 'Burial at Sea' and it was such a fun and challenging good time. I enjoyed how it caused us to rely on each other and for everyone to do their part to solve the various puzzles and find the hidden clues. This experience sort of reminded me of the puzzle type video games that I really enjoy but in real life. You really need to put your thinking cap on and engage in your surroundings to be successful. Some clues are obvious but then others you really have to dig deeper. Before we started our hour of fun I did see that there was merch to buy. I didn't get to get a close up look and decided I would check them out after we finished. What I did see was t-shirts that had the cover image of one of the 4 escape rooms. The images are actually cool retro looking artwork. I completely forgot to peruse them but I completely forgot to after we finished with our experience so, I kind of wish the employee would have reminded us about their merchandise buying options. Otherwise, the staff member we mainly interacted with was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend checking Operation Outbreak out. It's a unique experience and breaks up the monotony of our everyday entertainment options. Another important reason I chose this escape room business is that it's locally owned and I try to support and like to encourage others to support local. read more

Operation Outbreak - Escape Games Near Me - El Paso, Texas

We had an out of town guest visiting and decided on a whim to do an escape room. A quick Google search pulled up OO. Parking lot is small but they weren't busy for a Sunday afternoon. We got lucky as they had an opening within minutes upon arrival. Owner is super friendly and accommodating and got our group of 5 set up right away. We successfully escaped Baker Street with a few minutes to spare but it was challenging! Afterwards they had a self serve photo op with props to remember the fun event. My only suggestion would be the addition of LCD tablets or Boogie boards rather than pen and paper in the room. The pen would dry out on the laminated paper so writing down clues was a little difficult but we worked with what we had. Overall great experience and would highly recommend! read more

Locally owned and fun! We went as a family of three to the Sherlock Holmes room. 4 other people booked that time as well. No way we could have completed it without them. Highly recommend for a fun challenge. read more

This place is amazing! I've done both rooms (Sherlock and Escape the Undead) and both times we got out, down to the last five minutes! It really challenged us and was a great way to strengthen relationships. The owners are amazing and own the store, it's not a chain, so it's a great way to support a local business! You gotta try it! read more

Escape rooms are so fun and thrilling when you and your group work together! It's a perfect way to bond with new friends! Our group had 4 people, and it really required at least 4 people in order to proceed in the Military Installation theme room called "Escape the Undead." The props used and the decor made it really feel like you were in a military installation. No spoilers, so I won't go into detail lol. They also have a bank robbery theme, and Baker Street theme, which I have been told are more challenging. If you get out in a record time, your name will be put on the board of winners. The storyline behind the Military Theme is that you will catch a virus if you do not find a way to stop the infection before it spreads. Well believe it or not, all four of us were sick the next day, with a fever (no joke)! I was wondering how could we have all gotten sick, then I realized that there is a lot of touching involved when finding the clues, and it is possible that they do not disinfect the props used. I'm not a germ-a-phobe but I would hope that they would wipe down the props from time to time. But hey, that's what we get for not escaping in time! lol But overall, it was a great time!! read more

We did the Escape the Undead room and it was really interactive and fun. I really enjoyed it and my husband solved everything but we got to the end and didn't solve the very last thing. But had fun. Definitely will be coming back in a couple of week. read more

Such a fun time! Masks are required, but it does not hinder the experience at all! We were given our rules and told the premise of the escape room we booked, then we're shown our room. Very fun, challenging enough to make you think, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Would recommend a million times! read more

Granted this is my first escape room, it was thoroughly enjoyable and challenging. We had 3 people and because of the room one was confined to a different area. It truly made you work as a team. These rooms didn't have any obstacles so if you're pregnant and/or have any disabilities you should be fine. I thought it was a great first experience. I did expect it to be more like a haunted place where things jumped out at you but was grateful it wasn't. Will be going back! read more

It's a very fun activity to do in El Paso. We did the undead room and it was a lot of fun. All the clues are fun to decipher and the room gives you enough thrill to push you forward. The photobooth at the entrance is certainly a plus ! I look forward to trying out their different rooms as they change the layouts. The place is a little tricky to find since it has such a small sign but trust your GPS and it's in the inner corner of the shopping center read more

All around great time, super nice place, and the workers are beyond nice. 10/10 would recommend

I went with a few friends from work, it was super entertaining! Really made you think outside of the box and work together to get through the room. We did the zombie outbreak. I highly recommend this as it was great. The host was super cool and chatted with us about escape rooms. Definitely recommend! read more

I traveled to El Paso and my girlfriend and I decided to try this escape room in a group of 4. When we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly owner and he advised us to wait in the waiting area which was very nice. There was an iPad in the waiting area where groups can take photos of themselves while they wait for the room to open. There was also a leaderboard posted in the main lobby containing the time records for each escape room. We decided to do the zombie room which was very professionally made and offered an immersive and realistic experience. There was an issue with the room's monitor which displayed the timer, clues, and played the music. This issue occurred more than once and did somewhat take away from the game experience. However, the puzzles were great and diverse. I would definitely return to this establishment and try their new rooms as they are created. I urge many to experience this escape room for themselves as it has a great price tag of $20 per person. read more
