A Lot of Shrooms burger w/side of onion strings
Jeff B.

Every time I visit Dallas I am sure to stop in at Twisted Root Burger. I love this place as the atmosphere and staff are always amazing. This time however the food was not up to what I expect. The burger was overdone and dry. The fried pickles I ordered were amazing though. This won't deter me from coming again though as I feel it was just an off night which can happen anywhere and 1 sub par visit doesn't stack up to dozens of amazing visits!!! I will be back again next time I am in Dallas

Dropped in early tonight. Place was clean and always fun. Not very crowded, so service was fast! I go for the shroom burger, cheese fries and the root beer. Solid! Seriously, it was great. Staff were fun and friendly as always.

Food was okay--I had the banh mi sandwich--but the experience was uncomfortable. Our server was loudly saying she didn't care about Chuck Norris' passing or his views while talking to other customers. Since the restaurant is clearly based around his image, it felt unprofessional and out of place. It definitely took away from the overall experience.

Twisted Root Burger is located in Historic Downtown Mansfield, TX, in The Backyard, serving great burgers, chicken tenders, shakes, and more! We came through on a weekday after the lunch rush, and it was fairly crowded but placed our order in seconds. The ordering concept is easy as to where you place your order with the cashier in the front, and they give you a name card and call it when the food is ready. Our name for the day was "Elizabeth Taylor," and our food was ready in minutes. There are plenty of tables and booths inside the restaurant, and they also have a full service bar for alcoholic beverages and also serve By the Horns draft beer. The interior was decorated nicely and had a lot of pictures and photos to look at. They even had the famous lamp leg that was featured on the move The Christmas Story. There are also barrels filled with different flavors of pickles to choose from to complement your meal. The options for pickles were dill, ranch, bread & butter, sweet & spicy, and atomic. We ended up getting the onion strings and chicken tenders with house made potato chips. The chicken tenders were nicely coated and cooked to perfection. They were seasoned well and very juicy, and I must say the dipping sauce paired very nicely with the tenders. The house made potato chips were deep-fried golden brown and tasted like the perfect chip while the onion strings were lightly battered and were very addicting as to where you found yourself constantly eating more and more. They also provided house condiments such as ketchup, a root beer BBQ sauce, Chipotle ketchup, and horseradish Dijon mustard. Overall, this fine establishment was great to get a quick bite and drinks with friends and family. They have an awesome happy hour on drinks with multiple TVs by the bar area. Prices were fair and average while the service was great, and the staff did an amazing job with customer service. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items like the cheese fries and the fried green beans and carrots.

I've been to this restaurant a few times and it has always been pretty good. My husband and I sat at the bar to get full service and not have to get in line to order our food. We showed up at a weird time between lunch and dinner (linner?) so the place wasn't busy which was great. I really like the ambiance of this place, it has always been chill and the employees have always been nice to us. The bartender was friendly and attentive, she got our beers right away. I ordered the Big Tex burger and my husband got the Gosh Jam it burger, they were both very good! We decided to share an order of Treat-Yo-Self fries (no picture), my husband really liked them and ate most of them, I wasn't a fan, they're alright (next time I'll order regular fries). Will continue coming here to try other burgers!

Twisted Root Burger is always a fun place for me and the wife to have a chill date night. It's definitely one of the best burger places in Mansfield for sure. The employees are always super nice and always give such great service at this location. They were out on this particular night of my go to here the wagyu burger. That's ok I've been waiting to try more of time menu for awhile now. So this time I went with Gosh Jam it, which comes with Texas herbed goat cheese, tomato-bacon-onion jam, and a very yummy chipotle sauce. I ordered it medium rare and they nailed it. It's probably going to be my new go to when I visit this location. My wife got The Western l which comes with pepper jack, bacon, fried onion rings and jalapeños. I like mine a little better. Really like this location, the employees and really like that it's not going to break the bank. Super sure I will come back many times more in the future.

I kept eating until I hated myself it was that good

The twisted root burger is probably one of the most underrated burger joints. It's very good and they have us interesting selection of pickles and I like pickles so that's good. Better than the burgers are the shakes pictured below Dinner for three 100 coconuts

Decision made, 54th Street for dinner it is. Arriving at the restaurant, we were greeted by one of the hostesses and shown to our table. Ava, our bubbly server, greeted us and took our drink orders. It always takes us a while to decide since there is SO many delectable items on 54th Street's menu. My wife decided on the Chicken Avocado Grill, with a side of fries. I opted for a half rack of baby back ribs with beans and Cole slaw. Miss Reba, our diva dog at home, will be VERY happy when her daddy brings home bones. After a short wait, Ava came by to let up know out entrees were almost ready. We told her we were in no rush at all, which we weren't. All the sudden one of the kitchen expeditors delivered our entrees. Oh yummy, everything looked wonderful. She loves 54th Street's fries. So the French fries were the first to be tasted. I saw an ugly face and wondered what was wrong. I tasted one of the fries and made the same ugly face. The was WAY TOO much salt on the fries. They were inedible. Fortunately one of the managers was close by and I summoned him to our table. My wife explained what the issue was with the fries. Since the French fries were on a separate plate, the manager asked if he could taste them. Yep, ugly face, way over seasoned. He said he'd be right back. He took the plate back to the kitchen. Shortly, he arrived back at our table with a new plate of fries and a cup of 54th Street's special seasoning on the side. Everything solved and a happy wife. My wife's chicken sandwich were delicious as well as my baby back ribs and sides. Thank you Ava, the management, and the whole staff of 54th Street for a wonderful visit. We'll see all again soon.

Is it Opposite Day? Would love to comeback and check out the live performances, but will NEVER order food here again.......Frankly, after reading others reviews and judging by our lone experience, seems as if they need a leadership overhaul - because a place like this should flourish and not have a 2.9 average review on Yelp

We split the Patty Melt and it had zero flavor...it was bad. Patty Melt was dry, small amount of cheese, and it was lukewarm. Also, it had no grilled onions which the menu clearly states is on the patty melt. Bartenders were very nice and drinks were accurately made. Now to the music...we sat at the outdoor bar so thankfully we could not hear the band except when the opened the door. They were horrendous and loud during warmup. Whoever booked them should not be in the music industry.

I came through on a weekday to check out the hype of the bottomless apps and a couple of drinks. I just so happened to catch the happy hour specials, so I took advantage of the drink specials they have here. We sat at the bar, and we were greeted by the bartender with a warm smile as she took our drink orders and gave us a food menu. The ambience inside was a nice sports bar setting with multiple TVs playing sports and trivia. We went ahead and ordered the bottomless apps which is a choice between the chips and queso, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles and lastly onion rings. The rule is order 2 at a time and after you complete the 2 you can order more. We started off with the chips and queso and added chili for an additional amount along with the fried pickles. The food came out shortly and was looking great! The queso was very flavorful and had a good consistency with the cheese. The chips were your standard bag chips which had a nice crisp when dipping them inside the queso. The fried pickles came with ranch and another sauce which I wasn't too fond of but that's okay because they tasted great! After we completed our first round we went with the onion rings and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks were served with a warm marinara sauce and came in a 6 count. They had a nice cheese pull and paired well with our drinks. The fried onion rings were amazing with a nice crispy batter and sweet onions. They also came with ranch as well and I squirted some ketchup on it to complete the dish. Overall, I really enjoyed eating here with friends and trying the bottomless apps. The deal is too good to be true, and I definitely got the most bang for my buck dining here. I'm looking forward to coming back for the happy hour drink specials since they run a good happy hour drink specials on the domestic large drafts.

I was very excited to try this place because their website mentioned that they offer fresh kizami…read morewasabi (I included a photo from the internet of the type of wasabi I've received when ordering this at other locations). I was pumped because not many places around Mansfield/Arlington seem to offer it and it really enhanced the experience of sushi. Unfortunately, I paid 1.99 for the fresh wasabi and received the regular wasabi paste.. which was fine, but usually that's standard at sushi places and not extra. I really was set to enjoy the rougher cut wasabi. Otherwise, I did order two California rolls for my kid and I, garlic Cajun edamame, pork gyoza and another roll (it had shrimp tempura and eel, but I can't remember the name). It was my first time trying the eel roll and I thought it was good. The California rolls were solid and my son enjoyed the gyoza potstickers. We came in on a Saturday around 3pm and the place was totally empty, but the staff was very nice and courteous when we entered to pick up our order. It took no time to put together and we enjoyed our sushi at home minus the fresh wasabi. It was also very clean in there. The quest is still on to find a place with the wasabi, but this was a nice place to stop! Thank you to the staff for the kindness.
