I bought a set of tires from Wal-Mart app and took them to Big Rig Tire where i was greeted with a…read morenasty comment about how he didn't have time to mount and balance my tires because he was busy trying to sell his own tires! when i asked him when would be a better time he said "hang on ill squeeze you in" and proceeded to swap my brand new tire out with one off his shelf of a totally different size which was dry rotted and told me that it was the tire i had brought in and called me a liar when i tried to defend myself! I have always taken my business to his dad who was a decent and honest man but his son who runs the shop now is like night and day to his father, god rest his soul! I would suggest nobody visit this shop unless you enjoy being robbed and insulted to your face...

I pulled off the road and was directed to Twisted Rod Service Station. When I arrived it was almost closing time, 4:50pm on Friday, I thought I would have to wait overnight for service or wait until Monday. I spoke to Caleb and he took a test ride, returned and told me I needed brakes. I told him that I was out of town, any way that it could be worked on tonight, I was still 5 hours away from Leland, my destination? He spoke to his manager and arranged to get the brakes so the car could be repaired that night. Caleb began to work on the wheels while waiting for the parts to arrive. Whitney worked in the office,, customer service, told me that she would remain at the shop with me until the repair was complete so I would feel comfortable, being that I was in unfamiliar territory. I had my new puppy, Brooklyn with me so the owner, forgot his name, sorry, told me that there was an animal friendly bar restaurant, Hillman's a few minutes away. I went to Hillman's for a burger. Whitney called me to update the progress. I returned to Twisted Rod after about 1 1/2 hours and my brakes had been replaced. I was able to make it to my destination that evening confidently that my brakes had been replaced, and safely. I would recommend Twisted Rod for any type of service. Their customer service was excellent, I felt welcome at the shop. They gave my dog Brooklyn a water bowl and offered me beverages. Air/fuel sensor. Yikes! I had a 9 hour drive ahead of me. I purchased the sensor and the first place the auto supply recommended wouldn't use my part I just bought and couldn't get me in for two days! My daughter's friend recommended these guys, on a Sunday, these guys got me in the next day, early, and had me out and on my way home in less time than he quoted me on the phone! The place is clean, pleasant and the guys had no problem using my new part that I brought in! It was a great experience. Worth the drive folks if you're in the Asheville NC area!!!! Most shops were a week out and half were not open on Saturday. I needed to get my vehicle fixed by Monday morning. I have never used a mobile repair specialist in the past so I figured I would give it a try. I googled mobile repair specialists and called several with no answer and had to leave messages. John from Auto 911 answered the phone on the third ring and was ready to help. I called him at 9:00am and he was to my house by 10:15 on a 10:30 estimate. He looked over the truck, tested the truck, found the parts (several miles away), retrieved the parts and finished the repair in less time than it took me to find him on Google. The price was comparable with a brick and mortar shop without the hassle of getting your broken down vehicle to a shop. So to sum up my experience with John and Auto 911 of WNC, I would highly recommend them to anyone!
