On our second to last day of being in the Maggie Valley / Asheville, NC areas for vacation, we had a tire blowout. The Walker Tire rep my fiancé spoke with was very courteous, helping us locate ourselves at a gas station (several miles outside of Asheville) relative to their location. After calling multiple tire facilities, it was clear nobody would have our tire size in stock the same day. Walker Tire told us they could have it overnighted, mounted (installed), and balanced well before noon the next day. And that's exactly what happened. very shady work had my breaks done there in June of 2025 in November they were squeaking and scrubbing I don't know much about breaks or mechanics but I do know that breaks should last longer than that I went back to them and they told me there was another problem because they didn't want to make the repairs without charging me more money so I believe they done damage to another part of my breaks in order to get more money from me and I know that that was done because the car was almost new and I have never had break work done on it before them. read more

My 91 year old dad went in for some work last week. What he took it in for they did but one thing they said they put a new part on they didn't but it was on paper they did and also charged for it. He was suspicious over driving by and seeing his car just running car unlocked away from store. Anyways he took vehicle to a local car repair place to find out there was not a new part put on. My dad confronted them they admitted it and did give him the money they charged him for it. We're also now suspicious if they really aligned the vehicle. Shame on Bill Walker Tires for their lying and taking advantage of an elderly man (my father).. So beware of doing business with them! read more

Bill Walker and Charles literally saved the day for us. We were trapped all night on the shoulder of 26 in the mountains due to a blown out tire in our RV. Bill picked up the phone very early Sunday morning and sent us Charles who is awesome, competent and super professional. He had all the right tools and really knew what he was doing. God bless him! We were driving through Asheville when something hit our tire. I called 15 minutes before they closed and they told me to bring our car they would wait for us. They were very professional, fixed the tire in 10 minutes for $10!!!! We drive through frequently so we will make our next tire purchase from them. read more

Terrible company with poor customer service and rude employees. I've already been boycotting this place because of their horrible service. One time I got my tires changed there and they put the Lugnuts on backwards on one of my tires. Last night I was at El Torito right across the street. I parked at the top next to the store where the sign said it was for Walker tires but since it was after hours and I was just running in for a second I figured it would be OK. The owner of the El Torito told me to move my car because it was the Walker tire car lot and they would tow me.So I moved my car down into the lower lot where the store owner told me it would be OK. I was in the store for five minutes and when I came out some smug jerk from Walker tire informed me that there was a boot on my car and I would have to pay him $100 to get it removed. He told me I was stupid for not reading the sign, in front of my two children who were both crying. His name is James Gaddy and he was incredibly rude to me. He took $100 from a single mother with two kids for being in a store for five minutes and having no idea that it was not OK to park where I did. read more

A JOKE! Coming from someone who has worked in multiple tire stores. This place is pathetic. Unprofessional people sitting around talking. Dropped of my truck to have the wheels changed. " it'll be ready in 45min.-1hr". 2 HOURS later I come back to find they haven't even started and it would be another 40 minutes before they do. Save time and money and go somewhere else! read more

Last week we were camping in Fletcher, NC just outside Asheville. I noticed a gouge in my passenger front tire. I contacted the FMCA tire benefit website to locate a local tire dealer. I contacted Walkers Tire and Auto Care in Asheville. What a great help they were. I explained that we were pulling out to head home to Florida and noticed the tire issue. They told me they would locate the Michelin Tire and call me back. Within 30 minutes they located a tire and would have it at the store by 8 AM the next day. I arrived just after 8 AM and they were on it right away to get me on the road. The temperatures are right around 26 degrees and the 2 technicians were like a NASCAR pit crew getting the tire changed out. Very reasonable and I would highly recommend them. read more

They are absolute crooks! I wouldn't trust these scumbags with anything. I've never felt so cheated in my life. Do not go here!!! They are running a scam to swindle people $100 a pop by monopolizing all the parking in a 100 yard radius. I stopped by to ask directions from a neighboring business and they put a boot on my car demanding $100 to remove. It literally happened in less than 3 minutes, meaning they are just sitting there waiting to do this to people. Complete slime-bag scam tactic to prey on unsuspecting people. Um one of their mechanics Kelsey Ouimette had his I'm assuming girlfriend walk in while he was on his shift, and I've never smelled a smell so god awful in my entire life. She literally I'm guessing looked homeless, no teeth , didn't look like she had car keys. It was disgusting. Not that they're dating, even though I will say. Kelsey was a nice dressed good looming man, had all his teeth, did a good job giving my car an inspection. But the fact that a work place would allow such trash to walk in.. no tell whatever that thing was that Kelsey , honey, please get away from it and move on. It was so so so gross. read more

This is a very desperate place for money I wouldnt trust the business if they are Purposely taking the signs down of the business beside them so people don't know they aren't allowed to park there without being towed!!!! They are sitting watching for people to park, just so they can make money on them being towed!! My father parked in a space behind the Mexican store for 2 minutes, left his car running, in the pouring rain to run in the store really quick. So it started off with the will to get a cabin in the Mountains. We ended up in a place called Leicester. What was supposed to be a normal trip to Walmart ended up having my friend and I stranded for almost 4&1/2 hours. We had called Asheville Wrecker ... they left us high and dry once they figured out they couldn't get the tire off. One of the lug nuts was too tight and we needed someone with an air compressor. All of a sudden a huge truck pulled up and out came a hero named Daryl. He sat there with us for hours and waited for help to come. He mentioned something about a company called Walker Tire and that they had an emergency line . Unfortunately I couldn't find their emergency number online and the number I did have said to call back during operational hours. Then Daryl called someone named Kevin and said someone is on the way . Then we met Aaron ! He was an employee of Walker Tire that did everything in his power to help us . By that time we were freezing, frustrated and feeling helpless. Aaron shows up with the air compressor truck and all his tools . He was very personable , respectful and confident. I had no doubt in my mind that he wouldn't get the hell raiser lug nut off . Finally after Daryl and Aaron built the pressure up in the air compressor ... the lug nut flew off ! Victory at last. We left the cabin at 6 and came back at 10:40 . We were thankful as we had four children waiting back at the cabin with my fiancé. If we had not met Daryl or D-Rail .... I'm not sure we would have made it home. Thankful to have met someone so knowledgeable at such a time of despair . Also very happy with Walker Tire ! read more

I would avoid this business at all costs. They are now so desperate for business that they attaching boots to the cars of unsuspecting people and charging them $100.00+ dollars or the possibility of having your car towed. They own all the land around a small Hispanic Food Store on the opposite side of Emma Road in Asheville , so if you park anywhere around the store they can get you for illegal parking. This was my first time ever stopping in this area, thought I would try out the little market, went in and came out of the market after 5 minutes with a boot on my car. When 2 gentlemen came over to my car wanting cash or a credit card to remove it, I was absolutely in shock and confused. They didn't care that I had never been there and was completely unaware of this confusing parking policy: Walker Tire's parking is all around the market on the opposite side of their business and then the parking for the market is on the corner across the street from their building. Obviously, I didn't know this. They did not seem to care one bit and after they ran my credit card for the ransom of giving my car back, one of the employees from Hispanic Market yelled down and asked what the 2 gentlemen wanted for lunch and they began to yell back their order. This was the most horrific and unethical experience I have ever had in Asheville. Not a good way to treat unsuspecting citizens. I will be making sure I make everyone I know aware of this and the shady situation going on between these 2 businesses. read more
