He showed up at my house looking for payment when I had an agreement with his wife to come to the shop to pay because she left the receipts at home. If he breaks anything he won't fix it. He BROKE my o2 sensor & refused to fix what HE broke without charging. My transmission broke down 4 months after he supposedly "fixed" it & voided the warranty & the payment plan. Claiming the problems wasn't his fault. He changed his story 3 times as to why my transmission failed. & While I was trying to build a case to take him to small claims court he put a mechanics lean on my car voiding any chances I had of winning against this con artist. All he does is go to the junkyard, finds a piece of junk & puts it in your car. & says it's not his fault when your car breaks down. But if you do allow him to fix your transmission go to another mechanic to CHECK behind him immediately. & if it breaks down DO NOT give your car back to him he WILL charge for tow, say it's not his fault , and if you owe money he will keep your car giving you no chances to get a second opinion from another mechanic. Take your car some where else to get a second opinion. I understand you want to save money but your best options are to go to big business & not get nickeled & dimed by small businesses when it comes to expensive, serious repairs like a transmission. Ps. He has 3 shops Cary, Bunn Level, and i guess Sanford. I say that because I didn't know he had three shops & when my car broke down the second time he was suppose to tow it to Cary the place he fixed it before and my car ended up in Bunn Level with no notification. The salesperson was very nice and pleasant but we could tell that he was somewhat new in the position and couldn't give as much information about the history of the care as we'd like. Perhaps the MOST disappointing part of the visit was the supervisor. He was sent over to us after we were concerned with the tightness of the steering wheel (we were told that's how new steering wheels work and you had to "break them in"--fun fact, not how steering wheels work. The supervisor dismissed our concerns and essentially said that he would sell the car to someone either way so we could either take it or leave it. My boyfriend works on cars and was patronized when he explained why a tight and just replaced steering wheel is concerning. We were very disappointed by this encounter. It is very bad business and ethically problematic when a dealership is not transparent or open to essential questions about the stability and integrity of power steering.

I explained this to a worker and the female manager on duty, and they refused to allow an exchange. Make this make sense, your selling used car parts, and car electronics at that, and your going to refuse an exchange of another possible broken part, from another crashed vehicle? How much more unprofessional and petty can you become? I will be going to Spring lake auto salvage, Market Place, and everywhere else, other than this place. Avoid these people, they treat this place like its a government building, and as if everyone is stealing something from a grease filled junk yard. We are here in Raleigh, passing through on our way to Carolina shores. I scoured the directory and phoned RK. I relayed my dilemma and met with a courteous and concerned response. The fact that they went out of their way to help us has made me customer for ever. I am moving to Carolina shores and will travel the two hours to have my car serviced by such a professional company. Amazing people but not good business. This shop does not accept any payment from insurance or…read morewarranty companies. THEY DO NOT! They hold that right as business owners, which I understand completely. One of their staff members was not aware of this and it was not until after a $120 diagnostic that I was notified they don't accept payments from insurance/warranty companies. I explained to the owner that I had multiple phone calls with this staff member about using my warranty company as payment. Staff is not educated on the shops policy and client is bitting the bullet! No refund.
