This was my first time visiting Twisted cork and it was such a cute spot and hidden gem! If you look for the tattoo shop it's right under there, you go down the stairs and right when you walk in they have beautiful lights leading right to the bar. We went on a Wednesday and it was not busy at all! The bartender was very helpful and nice and he gave us great suggestions on what to get. We ended up ordering the spinach and artichoke dip and a glass of wine. I can't wait to come back here with my whole family the next time they are in town!

Bravo, South Lyon ... what a beautiful and welcoming establishment. Owner David was helpful, kind and very knowledgeable. The wine flight is definitely the way to go when trying to choose the perfect glass of time. Perfect place to shop for gifts, I love supporting our local businesses. Please come check out this beautiful winery you will not be disappointed.

They have a wide knowledge of brewing, grapes, and go out of their way to make sure each customer feels taken care of. This is the place for top notch customer service. It is an adorable barn feel with an inside sitting area, an outdoor space, and a loft where you can listen to music or see some comedy. They have a very extensive variety of wines and a nice beer list that goes from light, to fruity, to IPA, to dark. I loved the ability to be able to have small portions of beer and wine so I could sample a lot without feeling sick from drinking too much. They offer they drinks in a two ounce size, then two larger glass sizes. The prices of the drinks are pretty good as well. They have a small menu of food. We tried the pizza and it is not bad for a tasting room, but not too over the top. The price on the pizza was not bad, especially with prices these days. They also have a mixed drink menu that was quite extensive. The prices on those drinks were fairly good as well. They told us their espresso martini was the best in the area. I would tend to agree, probably the best in the area, but for me, not the best overall. To be honest we have been doing an espresso martini tasting tour around the US and there is a lot of competition, but it is definitely something to try here. I would try a rum drink personally next time, since their tropical drinks sounded delicious. The beer game in Michigan is also pretty stiff competition. We do live in a state where we have one of the top cities for beer world wide. But since they do offer about eight flavors, there is something for everybody here. This place is a really fun time to hang with friends and family.

We got to this place and were a bit timid. It looked like a house from the outside but, as you walk in, it's a wonderful looking store and winery. Everyone there was very nice to us. They were very genuine and forward with any answers they had for our questions. They serve cheese and crackers, kinda like smaller charcuterie boards so you can enjoy as you wine taste and they sell their own wine glasses as souvenirs inside the shop. For the wine tasting, they give you a menu of wines with their flavor profiles and a piece of paper where you write your desired sips to give them so they may prepare it for you as you go to your seat. They have outside seating and during the fall it is an amazing experience! I can't recommend enough coming to visit this place at least once, if you're in the area! It's a cute little place to come visit and the wine is very good! I recommend the A Maize 'N Blue if you like sweet wines!

These included a preset menu or we had the option of choosing the wines we wanted to try. We also bought a charcuterie board which consisted of cheeses and deli meats. I bought some jam to spice it up. The wines and food were great! Finally the girls who were serving were super friendly. I would love to go back when we visit Michigan again

Since then I've been back three times to bottle new wine with a fourth bottling scheduled in a few weeks. The process is fun and simple and always begins with store-owner Mark's custom greeting (I won't spoil it here). You or your group will be presented with samples of available varietals and blends along with some crackers to cleanse the pallet between tastings. Keep in mind you are tasting extremely young wine at this point which is just starting to show it's potential body and texture. Following your preferred selection (we like to guess each varietal and keep a running ranking) Mark takes over the heavy lifting and notifies you 8-10 weeks later when it's ready for bottling. If you enjoy wine tasting, bottling is a unique experience unto itself. You may bring your own cleaned bottles from home or purchase new wine bottles if necessary. Standard labels are available for each varietal or you can print your own. Bottling involves pumping wine through an aerator into each 750ml bottle, using a special press to apply the cork, sealing the cork topper over a tea kettle and affixing a label to the cleaned bottle surface. And of course you are sampling your current wine or future purchases the entire time. Your wine must stay vertical for a week after bottling before laying flat. I recommend storing your wine for 3-6 months before opening the first bottle and from that point opening a new bottle every few weeks to taste the difference in the aging process over the following 6-18 months. What started as a gift to myself has grown into a quarterly hobby for a small group of my wine loving friends. We start the tasting process fresh after each bottling and use the downtime to come up with new wine label designs and enjoy previous purchases. I hope your visits to Vine 2 Wine turn out as well as mine!

However, during our most recent visit, we noticed quite a few changes from previous years, and unfortunately, not all for the better. They no longer have the scenic hayride that used to include a free donut and a cup of apple cider with your ticket purchase. Now, it's $5 per person, and instead of a peaceful scenic ride, it stops at every station and they no longer give you a donut & cider with ticket purchase. When we asked about the change, we were told it was because they weren't making money off the old setup. I understand businesses need to adjust, but it really took away from the experience. That scenic ride with the cider and donut was always one of the highlights for us ; something we truly looked forward to every year. They did add more bouncy houses for the kids, which is nice, but the ones they had before were just as fun. The food was about the same, decent, but nothing special. It was noticeably more expensive this year. $5 for a single ear of corn felt excessive. On the positive side, the cinnamon donuts are still amazing, and the apple cider is as delicious as ever. I also enjoyed the wine tasting, which is always fun, though seating is still limited and could be improved. Overall, the visit just didn't have the same charm or warmth as before. We still had an okay time, but it didn't feel as memorable as past years. Sadly, I think this might be our last year visiting, we'll probably look for a new orchard next fall.

Their pizza is yummy, and the vineyard vibe is charming. There are animals to pet, wide open views, and it's right on their property but designed in a way that still feels like a public space. I wanted to keep loving this place. I really did. But the energy has completely shifted. I've been here multiple times now, and every single experience with the owners has left me feeling tense and unwelcome. The final straw came after a couple of situations that made it clear this place is no longer what it used to be. One time, my son climbed onto a tractor that was left completely open. No signs. No fencing. And the keys were literally in the ignition. I was already walking over to get him down when the owner came out and screamed at me. No grace, no calm explanation, just full-volume yelling in front of everyone. I was mortified. It shook me up for the rest of the day. Another time, we were just a few minutes early and waiting by the entrance, not bothering anyone, just sitting in the car. Again, she came out yelling, like we had broken some rule by showing up early. And then, the husband. I watched him get belligerent with another guest. He was mocking him loudly and making a scene in front of other people. It was really uncomfortable to witness. No matter what the situation was, that is not how you treat paying customers. I don't know what happened here. Maybe as the place got more popular, the stress got to them. But somewhere along the way, they seem to have lost the heart for hospitality. I never write reviews like this, but I'm sharing it because this place has so much potential. It used to feel like a happy little secret. Now it just feels heavy. To the owners, I truly hope you hear this for what it is. You've built something beautiful. People want to come here and enjoy what you've created. But you cannot treat guests like this and expect them to keep coming back. I hope one day the warmth returns. I really do. But until that happens, I won't be back.

I get it, same longitude and wines should grow similar and all that jazz, but Michigan wines outside of the sweeter styles really never taste right to me. Probably some of the best MItten Vino I have ever had and that assessement is from traveling all around the state and trying different areas. The Frontenac, Petite Pearl, Marquette were my favorites by far. But my five stars isn't for the wine, it's for the sheer joy this place brings me. Absolutely beautiful campus with sheep and goats and a big white furball of a dog who looks so adorable but is trained to kill any possible threat to his wards. The large barn event space and indoor seating is nothing short of gorgeous and of course sitting outside is just pure joy. I will add more pics as I come across them.
