Beautiful store and attentive bridal consultant. Jessica was prompt and made me feel comfortable. She listened to my likes and dislikes. She also accommodated my groups taste and made sure everyone was happy. The not so good part was that I gave my budget and the 2 dresses that I really ended up liking were $1000 over the budget I gave her, so I'm not sure why I was even asked for a budget... The real reason for the 2 star review is that the dress that I liked, an Essence of Australia gown was anywhere from $300 - $700 cheaper at the other bridal stores that I called who are authorized retailers. Being so far from Columbus (or anywhere) I expected them to be at least cost competitive to the other Ohio retailers from this brand (I mean, why go all the way to Kenton to then pay more?!?). If you are looking for an Essence Dress I would recommend Wendy's in Columbus, or Louise Christine (about the same drive) in Dayton, as they were cheaper for all 3 dresses I inquired about. read more

I can not say enough nice things about my experience at Twirl. I had my first bridal appointment with Jessica and she was absolutely fantastic. She made me feel beautiful, she was fast , efficient and gave me great insight and advice all while not being pushy. We have narrowed it down to two dresses and she didn't push me to make a decision and gave me time to think and process it all. My first experience with Twirl was by stumbling upon their Instagram two years ago. I fell in love with everything they posted, and I decided to take the two hour trek there to find a prom dress! The dress I loved on Instagram was actually in my size, which is rare, so I HAD to try it on. I was there for 15 minutes and had already paid for it, which was well worth the drive. Today, I came in search of a homecoming dress. I wasn't sure what color I wanted so I just chose four random ones. The zippers on all of them went up all but about two inches of the way. I was so discouraged, and my shopping partner (my supportive boyfriend) comforted me with my teary eyes. The girls were so patient with me and knew I was upset about not fitting in anything, and they started holding up other dresses in my size and telling me how great they'd look with my skin tone! I'm very cost conscious and my daughter settled on a dress style with a below $100 cost that made us both happy. I was uneasy about purchasing from an unknown source for the first time. The dress arrived yesterday from the Ohio store to Texas in 8 days from the date of purchase. I am more than pleased with the dress quality and service that was provided by Twirl. I ended buying my dream dress here when my intention was just to browse so I could get an idea of what type of bridal gown I wanted. Wow what an experience I already had a dress for my wedding but went in to select flower girl dresses for my fiancé nieces. The staff was wonderful and attentive. There's plenty of room to try on gowns. The girls had a wonderful time. I ended up setting an appointment for myself that weekend. I went here with my mom and 3 bridesmaids to pick out a dress! Our consultant was so sweet and helpful. We got to look through the racks to choose styles. There was a wide range of prices and sizes! The first dress I tried on was THE dress. My consultant found belts and a headband and a veil. While I loved it, I knew I needed to try on more just to be sure. She was so incredibly patient while I tried on 9 more dresses. I never felt rushed or stressed. At the end of the appointment, I purchased a beautiful dress that I am so happy with. I picked up my dress today and I'm so sad. I'm a larger girl and I knew it was going to be a challenge finding a dress, but all that changed when I went to twirl and found a gorgeous dress that LOOKED like it was going to fit me beautifully. The consultant was also very nice and the shop is beautiful. So where did it go wrong? First of all, Twirl does not have seamstresses. It is my fault completely for not researching this or knowing this before I went into the shop. I never would have gone if I knew this. What happened today when I picked up my dress is pretty hard to explain without showing pictures or without people knowing what I wanted in the first place. The dress I tried on was about 2 sizes too big but the consultant pinned it perfectly and took my measurements. The dress I got back today is waaaayyyyyy too tight and I don't think anything is going to fit under it (sucker inner, better bra, etc) My boobs hang out terribly when what I loved most about the dress was how well it fit my boobs. This one fits like every other dress I try on. With my boobs completely hanging out. I absolutely, completely, no questions asked, deal breaker wanted a dress with sleeves. The dress I got is sleeveless but they said, " "they" can add sleeves on to any of our dresses for you." We paid for sleeves. The consultant asked me what color I wanted the sleeves. Everything said led me to believe that they were going to put the sleeves on for me. What I got was the materials so that MY seamstress can put the sleeves on. My dress is still sleeveless today and all I have are some fabrics for someone else to completely make sleeves onto the dress. What upsets me most, because this was their mistake for sure, is that the consultant pinned the sleeves up wrong. They are off the shoulder sleeves and I had no idea they were off the shoulder because she pinned them upwards. I did not want, under any circumstances, an even slightly off the shoulder sleeve. Also, at any time in anyway did ANYONE ever tell any of us that the dress didn't have a bustle. Well the dress doesn't have a bustle so there's no way to pin up my train for the reception. They told me TODAY after all was said and done that their dresses don't have bustles. I feel that they were insanely illusive about everything and didn't explain things well at all. Twirl does not have seamstresses nor do they do returns. It was an almost $3,000 dress. This is soooooo much money for not having seamstresses. Now I don't have any idea what I'm going to do. If you're a plus size girl, as with everywhere and everything else, we have to be careful at Twirl. This is not the dress I would have bought nor where I would have bought it from if they were straightforward with any of this information in the first place. I guess that's the point, though, because now they have my money. I'm so confused how they have such good reviews. read more

Words cannot describe how much I love the staff at Twirl! I can truly say this is the best shop near the Columbus area. I stumbled upon Twirl at a bridal show and immediately was impressed. Their booth was well decorated and the attendants were excited to talk to you. I ended up scheduling an appointment with them; I hadn't had much luck with some of the other shops around town and was on somewhat of a budget. I wasn't sure exactly what I was looking for, but my vision was entirely different from my mom's, so I wanted an opportunity to try on a bunch of different styles to find THE one. My appointment was 2 hours long -- at first this seemed crazy long as most shops barely give you an hour. However, when we got there we were welcomed by the staff and given a quick run down. They let us pick out literally any dress we wanted to (I had an experience with another shop that kept commenting "that's a tall girl's dress" for dresses I would choose -- I'm 4'10) and got just as excited as we did at the choices. Never once did I get a complaint on how long we were taking/choosing too many/oh that will look just like that one -- it was truly about me. I probably tried on 30 dresses and naturally dress #3 was the one I went with -- I probably put it back on 4-5 times before saying "Yes". The best part? It was definitely a dress the other shop deemed "a tall girl's dress". From that day forward everything was great with Twirl -- I ended up purchasing my hair piece & earrings from the shop that I received many compliments on. I have already sent 2 brides to the shop (that also said yes!) and will continue to do so. Seriously love this shop so much and look forward to doing business some day in the future! read more

After meeting the owners of Twirl at the Columbus Bridal Show this past January we decided we had to go even though it was a hike from Columbus. They were both so awesome and answered all of our questions, not to mention gave us a coupon when scheduling an appointment that day. Fast forward to this past weekend we went to Twirl and found the gown that was everything and more! We had so much fun shopping and had an amazing dress consultant, Ashely. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable, she was easy to talk to and very personable! She made she sure hadn't skipped over any dresses in my price range and understood the style I was looking for perfectly. You could tell she loves her job and loves helping brides find their dream gown! She was very knowledgeable, was able to answer all of our questions and help us choose the perfect accessories. They also encourage pictures so if not all of your family can be there, such as a grandma, they can still be part of it which is so nice to be able to share such a special moment. The store itself was very cute, girly and clean. I even received a free T-shirt afterwards! The drive was long but so worth it for the great experience. Twirl gave me a wonderful bridal experience. My sister lives in Ohio and thought it would be a wonderful idea to bring me to Twirl to see if I could find my dream dress. I'll be honest, the store is drop dead gorgeous and not at all what I was expecting for a small town Ohio. I fell in love as soon as I walked through the doors. I was greeted by Kathy who said she would be with me throughout the appointment. We browsed through the store and put clothes pins on dresses we liked. Kathy pulled them for me and helped me try on 10+ dresses. They were all so beautiful that I finally narrowed it down to three gowns. They all had lace, they were all gorgeous, and I didn't know what to do! So I started calling/face timing family and close friends. Kathy was so patient with us and SO helpful. Finally, I decided on a stunning champagne and ivory gown that was detailed with lace and taffeta. It was not what I was expecting to pick at all but I am SO in love and cannot wait to marry my best friend next fall!
