So much meat!!! Cant even close the roll.
    Sean W.

I was temporarily living about 5 miles from Twinny's and driving an hour to work every and went past. I finally decided to stop one day and pick up dinner because I didn't feel like cooking. The take out area is a small area that looks like you are standing at the counter of someone's kitchen but you could see everything in front of you. I got a Medium Roast Beef sub. When I got home and saw the amount of meat stacked on it, I was dumbfounded. Now most people would probably say you get your money's worth and you definitely do! I am not into that overload of meat and picked off half of it and still was loaded with a baggie of about 1/2 lb of beef extra. The sub was delicious!! Bread was fresh and the beef was very good and all produce on the sub was fresh. I hace since gotten a cheeseburger sub and an ham sub and same thing was true. The ham was the best ham sub I ever had after I again picked off half of the meat (seriously there had to be a pound or more of meat). It was so much that I had it for dinner 2 nights and took the extra ham in a sandwich to work. All told 3 meals out of a $15 sub. Great deal. The open face Turkey sandwich looks amazing as do the home made crab cakes that are most meat with little filler. I highly recommend and if you are going, call ahead or you will wait for a while because they are constantly busy.

    Half cut sandwich

Used to be a good place but has gone down hill fast. Got two sandwiches and had to pull both apart because they were not cut all the way thru. Made a mess trying to eat them

This is a tiny place and it's obviously pretty popular, judging by the number of cars that are always in the parking lot when we drive by. We recently bought a place nearby and finally stopped at Twinny's for breakfast last weekend. We arrived around 9:45 on a Saturday morning and were surprised that we didn't have to wait for a table. Overall, we were pleased with our visit but we did have a few small issues. I had a Western Omelet which was great until I chomped on a rather large eggshell - now, that's not quite up there with finding bugs in my food, but it wasn't very pleasant - I was just thankful that I didn't come across it until I had only three bites left of my omelet - I would have had to send it back if it had happened when I first started eating. My husband got Creamed Chipped Beef on potatoes - his breakfast staple - and had no problems with it, other than commenting that they were a bit chintzy on the potatoes. They were a little chintzy with mine, but I was disappointed by the fact that there were no onions in them, after our waitress had asked us if we wanted them. Oh the troubles in life. The only other thing was that the unsweetened iced tea tasted weird to me - but I will admit I am SUPER picky about iced tea so I just have to remember not to order it again. The service was friendly and fast, the prices were right (a surprise for the area they're in) and the food was really pretty good, so I think we'll be back sometime.

On the way back to Baltimore from a delightful day on the Eastern Shore, we stopped at Twinny's Place in Galena for dinner. What a charming and cozy little restaurant! Everyone (staff and other guests) we met were so friendly and welcoming. Kyle, our server, was a delight and very attentive. The menu is really varied. My husband had the soup of the day, "Crab Bisque," which he really liked. It was a tomato-based bisque with just the right amount of Old Bay Seasoning. He also enjoyed a Cheesesteak sub with just the steak, provolone and mayo. I think he was in heaven. I ordered the Rockfish platter - 3 pieces of fried Rockfish with a side of potato salad and coleslaw - all delicious. My brother had the liver and onions with a side of green beans and coleslaw. His wife had a Tuna Melt. They were especially happy with their comfort foods. My brother had to end with a sweet and enjoyed the peach pie. All in all, it was a great stop for dinner.

My turkey sub with lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo hit the spot.

Well, it was $77 for 3 subs, a salad, and 4 bags of chips. So, I think we were robbed.

Old fashioned place with pretty good food. One thing they should have is some music playing. Would make the dining experience more enjoyable

I got the Beyond burger and let me tell you... IT WAS HUGE! So fresh with all the toppings and be prepared it takes a while to make but worth every minute of wait (to the point I thought mine wasn't being made LOL). I got mine with onion rings and let me say i can't wait to get those again! I also added the dipping sauce to try since why not?! My family got the BLT, steak && cheese sub, and shrimp basket. Everyone CRUSHED! They don't skimp on the fries w each meal either. You are going to be full. Cute 'I Love Lucy' themed spot with the can in the parking lot. The Castellano had a crisped pile of gorgeous beef, with crispy fries, and super fresh veggies (basically a cheeseburger on a sub). My husband ordered this one, so I didn't taste it personally but he absolutely LOVED it. The Thommy, The Three Fingers is a chopped cheese. It's, by god, the best I've ever had in my life. I add peppers, provolone and mayo and an extra side of tzatziki (labeled garlic cucumber on the menu), and oil and vinegar (which tastes like Italian dressing, but who's counting?). The bread is phenomenal. I may literally just order a sub roll with no ingredients one day, just so I can eat it toasted with butter, with every meal I have. It's soft and fluffy, crispy and chewy all at the same time. (It almost gives bagel, but not tough). I also got the y cheesecake. Not as special, perhaps from the Cysco truck (iykyk), but I still bought it and scarfed it down. Strawberry topping was def the average canned-strawberry topping (but I personally love that). I cannot stress, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD! As for service, the entire team is so friendly and helpful. They kid around, make silly jokes and make sure your order is prepared fresh and fast. It isn't "fast food fast", but also doesn't taste like shit either, so the wait is worth it. At most 10-15 min if you don't call ahead. As for seating, in winter there are only two two-tops so seating is extremely limited. It is mostly a deli-and-get-outta-here kind of place, but nonetheless welcoming and charming. They have tons of Italian memorabilia all over the walls including giant GodFather posters, taxi plates and more. Today was my first time inside, but I've had my husband go pick up food several times on the way home. I cannot live without one of these subs AT MINIMUM once a month.

Overall, it was a pleasant visit with some pros and some cons. Pros: super friendly and welcoming owner and staff; veggie omelet was delish; bright and airy décor; nice location; prices aren't astronomical like some places nearby. Cons: the eggs benedict wasn't exactly eggs benedict (over medium eggs instead of poached; had to ask for the hollandaise sauce); the home fries were just cubed, cooked potato - home fries must be browned and should have a good dose of at least some S&P. I'm looking forward to trying it again sometime - maybe for lunch or dinner next time.
