This is a great little cabin place to spend a long weekend if you want to ski near Atlanta. The cabin was cozy and had everything you need to spend a good time with family and/or friends. You can tell the owners make an extra effort to show they care about their customers, as when we got to the cabin we had a few cup cakes waiting for us as a welcome gift. At their office they have plenty of DVDs and board games you can borrow, as well as free coffee and cider to take to the cabin. They also have additional snacks and sodas at a super cheap price. And of course wood for the fire place. Overall it's a nice place to go and enjoy some relaxing time. read more

To be honest, I didn't expect much out of the stay. The pictures don't do this place any justice. Check in was easy and the lady in the office was extremely friendly. The cabin was easy to find and very clean when we entered. It's so cozy and extremely cute! Everything you need during your stay is provided either in the cabin or in the office. The bed was comfortable along with the rest of the furniture. The stream runs right in the "backyard" of the cabin and it's beautiful to look at and even nicer to listen to. There's a corner jacuzzi tub in cabin 5 that has a skylight above it which was spectacular. Overall, cabin 5 was clean, comfortable, super cute and very warm!!! The owners even left us dessert in the fridge! I will say this cabin in particular is quite small i wouldn't recommend for more than 2 people. read more

My boyfriend and I wanted to go on a quick ski trip close to Atlanta and stay somewhere better than a hotel motel but for cheap and preferably in a cabin. This was EXACTLY what we were looking for! We rented cabin 5 which is a one bedroom and it ended up being $200 for two nights for both of us. Really affordable compared to some of the other cabin options we looked at and not much more expensive than the cheap hotels. The cabin was warm and smelled nice and cabin-y when we got there. The living room had a recliner couch, table for two and a fireplace. There was a full kitchen with stove/oven/microwave/fridge (no disposal in sink or dishwasher but that was fine.) It was stocked with pots/glasses/plates/etc. (but no wine corkscrew so we had to get creative...) The bedroom had a king bed and a jacuzzi tub which was so awesome to sit in after a day of skiing. There was also a little porch with rocking chairs in the back that looked at a creek. It was a little chilly for porch sitting though. Everyone we talked to in the office was super nice and helpful and they all seemed to know who we were when we came in. They gave us a really thorough welcome packet with info on everything from restaurants to walmart and they also have a bunch of brochures on activities in the area. You can buy firewood with a starter stick for $5 and borrow from a large selection of DVD's. I was concerned when we first looked at the website because it didn't indicate that our cabin had internet, but I was happily surprised to find we did have it. I didn't NEED it, it's just nice to be able to access Google Maps and my fantasy football team roster :) They got a good amount of channels on the TV as well including ESPN! We skied at the Cataloochee Ski Area which was maybe 10 minutes away and easy to get to in December because there wasn't any snow/ice on the roads. You can get discounted ski packages through Twinbrook but unfortunately we didn't tell them in time! You have to let them know in advance so they can get the passes. The rest of the time we stayed in the cabin, watched movies, played games, ate cheese and drank wine. It was a perfect trip and Twinbrook was a perfect lodging choice for us! Would definitely recommend coming here. It's great to have the privacy of your own cabin and the people that work here are great! read more

This was our first time in Maggie Valley and we were glad we stayed at Twinbrook Resort! The owners and family were very hospitable and made us feel welcome right away. It was great to stay in a rustic cabin with a fire place to warm the nights and a creek behind our cabin. Cabin is old and dated. Blankets insufficient. Beds sagged and were so uncomfortable. Bring your own comforter and pillows while you are at it. They are old and flimsy. Blankets look like 70s style curtains draped on velour blankets. Bring your own towels too. Towels are super cheap and small. Washer/dryer- it's a combo. Don't expect much from the dryer. It did not do a thing. Dishes: had to re-wash every dish we used. Water never gets hot enough. So it takes twice as long to wash. Coffee pit was filthy and full of grounds. Took 3 times to run water through and the water was still murky. When we told the office the dishes were dirty, they said, "It's condo style." Not sure what that has to do with making sure your cleaning staff does their job and clean up. Positive: it's 15 minutes from Cataloochee ski area. read more

Don't stay here. Find another place, there are plenty in Maggie Valley. Absolutely appalling guest service. We paid $400 to stay here for 2 nights and it was the dustiest place I've ever stayed in, cabin or otherwise. Every horizontal surface in the place had a layer of dust on it. There were fingerprints in the dust throughout the cabin when we arrived. Easily could have been wiped away by housekeeping if they had bothered. There were cobwebs in every window, both inside and out. By the time we left both of our allergies had flared up from staying in such a dirty place. There was dog food on the floor from a previous occupant that hadn't been vacuumed up. There was no dishwasher and only 3 pieces of each cutlery so we had to stand at the sink and do dishes every time we ate. Especially during a pandemic dishes need to be sterilized between guests. The toaster was from the 1970s and was a fire hazard, I'm not exaggerating- it almost caught on fire when I used it. The stopper in the spa tub did not work like it should when we tried to use it the first night. I called the office about the tub and the excessive amounts of dust throughout the cabin. The owner said he was "surprised by all my complaints", and offered nothing to improve our experience other than to send the maintenance man to look at the tub. We still had 24 hours of our stay remaining at this time, there was plenty of opportunity for him to change our experience into a positive one. The maintenance man came by and showed us that the tub stopper would work to hold water. But, it did not work as it should have. It was supposed to be a stopper that is affixed to the tub that you spin to open and close, but it was sitting on the side of the tub when we arrived. Then told us that the cabin was dusty because he had "cleaned out the fireplace" the day before. Cobwebs don't appear from cleaning out a fireplace. Dog food isn't on the floor because you cleaned the fireplace. He then informed me that I didn't need to leave the recommended $10 housekeeping tip. The housekeeping tip was highlighted on our check-in paperwork and also directly referred to at check-in. I have never stayed anywhere that pushed a housekeeping tip like that. He told me that the tip was encouraged because they don't charge a facility fee on top of their regular rates, but $200/night to stay in a small cabin in Maggie Valley is already steep. When we checked out I told the owner again that I was dissatisfied with our stay. He said that he "wouldn't be having us back because we just don't get complaints like this". So rather than take my feedback (given politely each time) to improve his facility, he told me that we were not welcome back. He never once apologized or tried to improve our experience in any way. Neither my fiancé or I have ever been asked not to return anywhere in our lives. We were polite to cabin staff during our interactions both on the phone and in person. We checked in and out on time and were respectful of the cabin and grounds throughout our stay. We cleaned every dish and took out the trash when we left. So please, do yourself a favor and book your stay somewhere else! read more

We stayed at Site 2 in the campground. It was private and we really enjoyed the babbling brook that ran around the entire area. The host was very friendly and had all kinds of information prepared for us about what to do and where to go in the area - everything from shopping, to nature, to casinos. Whatever you are interested in, it is in Maggie Valley. We even got a "Smores Gift Bag" to say "Welcome". The pool is heated and inside (open year 'round) and there is a hot tub. We had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back! read more

We loved this place! Cute modern cabins. Awesome staff very mello. They sell candy and cokes for 50 cents in the office and have a decent DVD collection. They have an awesome indoor pool in a green house looking thing. The wifi was only available here so I'd say that was the only downfall. It did make us meet some people and socialize. Absolutely wonderful experience! I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else and I will definitely be back. They treat you like family and go above and beyond for you. We bought firewood for $5 and rented a new movie from them each night as we made our s'mores. They had so many movies to choose from. The indoor pool was really warm and the hot tub felt amazing after a day on the slopes. The brooks of water behind the cabin were beautiful. We fit four adults comfortably into the one bedroom cabin. The heater was on and felt great. The shower was hot and the WiFi was strong. They had directions to different things you could do and suggestions for local things to do! 10/10 recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

Cozy with room for improvement. Decided that we wanted to have a white Christmas with the kids skiing, so we booked cabin #2 two weeks before Christmas. Cabin is cute, clean, cozy and our overall our stay was enjoyable. WIFI is great and staff is very friendly. Master bed is springy, master bath could use longer window curtains (could see out window when on the toilet and anyone could look in from the outside with very little privacy). Guest beds are hard and pillows are bumpy. Although we had a two bedroom 2 bath, only one person could shower at a time, due to low water pressure. Kitchen was stocked with efficient cookware and utensils, but desperately needed a dishwasher. I looked online and saw that the other 2/2 cabins had dishwashers and some had jacuzzis or outside fire pit, so feel that this cabin should not be the same nightly price to rent as the others. Towels need replacing. Ceiling tiles in master bedroom and living space are falling and need repair. The pool and hot tub is not something I would recommend using, dated and not appeasing. read more

I found this wonderful place by accident and glad we did. My wife wanted a secluded cabin getaway and this ended up fitting the bill to a T. The cabins are spaced apart with enough woods between each that it feels like no one is around you. Outside our backdoor we had a covered porch with rocking chairs overlooking a firepit and brook. Both nights of our stay we just sat outside, listening to the brook and watching fireflies dance away. It was amazing. We got Cabin 5 and it was perfect for our stay. It had a small living room with a fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen, and dinette table. The bedroom had a king size bed, two closets (one of which had a washer and dryer in it), a two person jacuzzi tub, and separate bathroom with shower. The bedroom had a window unit AC that was able to keep the entire cabin cool. The only thing we had to bring was coffee for the little 4 cup coffee maker, everything else was provided. Also great, no housekeeping fee if you empty the trash and wash and put up all the dishes that you use. The location is great. Right in between Asheville and Cherokee, while also close to Waynesville. Greg and Lyndon (the owners) will also provide some great suggestions for day trips and restaurants while you are visiting. Lots of restaurants nearby and some even deliver if you don't want to leave. Before we arrived, they even emailed us some great suggestions. Can't thank them enough for the wonderful time we had. June 2017. I dont recommend staying here, just drive by and wave. We paid 150 cash a night to stay here. We ending up leaving bc when we 1st got there the man told us the cabins were ate up with ants BIG BLACK ANTS. Ok so the 1st night we get every thing unpacked and in the cabin. My one year old comes running up to me with a pack of ANT poison. So i took in down the the front office behide the pool. They tell me they haven't ever seen that before and i must have brought from home. I said no sorry i dont just carry around pesticide. My one year old brought it to me.. This is something they should had said to us. Hey we put pesticide out for the ants etc. Nope they failed to tell us that much. So we stayed and the next day we ended up going to the other cabins up on soco rd. So im listening to my voicemails and it is the lady from twinbrooks saying i stole the extra pillow and blankets out of the top of the closet that the house keeping lady said that.. I said yall didnt put extra pillows in any closet i looked in bc my one year old found pesticide, but plus i have my own pillows and blankets. But she told me she was chargen my card for those.. 1st of all i don't steal nasty used pillows... This place is very unprofessional and clearly desperate for money that dont belong to them. So if you stay here or have stayed checked your card they might try and over charge you.. I'd rather stay in a tent then these cabins. I'd give no stars if i could. Horrible service. read more

Our church spent the weekend at this lovely quaint mountain resort. The staff, cabins & RV sites were awesome. Clean. well maintained stocked with everything we could possibly want & need for the weekend...Even surprised us with a cake for our evening service. Worst travel experience of my life! Buyer beware!!! This owner is not a reputable person. Once you give him your deposit, you have no way out. Checked in late...cabins furniture had nasty stains all over it (dining chairs and all sofas), bugs on counter and floor and in cabinets, FILTHY dirty, unusable pots and pans. Owner was not in office on posted hours for me to voice my complaint. Owner does NOT allow you to leave if you are dissatisfied without paying for your entire length of stay. (He covers his bases having you sign multiple times that you cannot cancel your stay. Evidently he has had this problem in the past with people wanting to get out of there!!) READ all the reviews...this is the way he operates!!. People in neighboring cabin complaining their place was filthy and roof was leaking. Once I did catch up with the owner and voiced my concerns and my desire to leave, he said there would be no refunds of any portion of the stay even though we offered to pay for the 2 nights we stayed - because we couldn't reach the owner to tell him we wanted to leave. My entire family left and paid for new accommodations at a much better place. Maggie Valley is a biker town - noisy bikes going by too. Picture of the pool at Twinbrook Resorts is not what it looks like. EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED! read more
