I originally purchased a certificate through a local charity for the soaking tubs which introduced me to this place. You drive up a hill on its own little area. There is the check in customized to you with a welcome card as well as a little shop. Check out your quiet place to reconnect and discover peace and connection with whoever you bring. My T-Mobile didn't work but they had WiFi in the little shop which had anything you needed. The overview is beauty and it's a quiet area. There is outdoor seating, swings and the pool down the steps so watch your step. Don't let me forget the cute little feline vanna who is super friendly. If you add on the cabanas for the tubs which I approve. It's a short walk up the hill. Depending on your package. It's a nice little experience for you and your partner. The music didn't work for me which was sad but it's started to rain which was lovely freebie. They send out messages if they think you should leave from the rain. They are super quick to respond and it's a very homey place. You are in the wooded area so yes there may be little bugs and some things need touched up but I would absolutely stay again.

The room and the bed are so comfortable I didn't want to leave. I lay in bed looking out the window at the lake and mountains and it made my heart sing. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing on the swinging chairs and the deck and reading a book. A little piece of quiet and calm after a busy road trip. We will definitely come back!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay. The breakfast croissants were amazing !!!

Ladies were very helpful and friendly. They have nice restaurants, home made breakfast. Our unit was clean, spacious with great views. I got one with 2 fireplaces, lol in August, but we loved it. It may be great in the summer but this is off season and there is none of that. The stables were open, but I saw no one. It's a one ply toilet paper inn. The bistro and bar they advertise has not been open since the pandemic. For breakfast you get a mini sausage and biscuit and a mini cup for coffee. Rooms do not have daily housekeeping. Worse yet, it is advertised as being in Bryson City, it is 8.3 miles away from the downtown area and activity. The doors to the lobby close at 6 PM. After that you are on your own.It also gives the feel of a motel, not a resort. Because we were so far away from the action, we ended up being in bed by 7 pm. There were too many winding roads to risk going to a bar or any other night life that far away. I do like something about this place. I could see it being a real neat resort. It is homey and has a nostalgic atmosphere. But during November it is bland. Maybe it's days gone by. Will I be back? Maybe in the summer. But it needs a better variety of breakfast food, a good restaurant and bar to survive.

First let me…read moresay that the cabin is BEAUTIFUL.. but.... the active stink bug infestation we encountered was not something we would expect at this level of cabin. I reached out to Watershed immediately upon arrival to notify them of the large amount of dead bugs we found when we inspected the cabin and were told - sorry for the inconvenience, the stink bugs are harmless and if you'd like we can send someone to come sweep up the dead bugs. They admitted that they set off several bug bombs and the many dead bugs we found were a result of that. They also went on to say that almost every home in the mountains has some sort of bug issue... The stink bugs we encountered were a huge problem and combatting them during our 9 day stay was horrifying. They were into everything and were everywhere. In and on the dishes, in our food, crawling on us while we were enjoying games or tv and at one point I had 1 stuck in my hair. Do better Watershed! If you can't rectify the issue then either don't rent the unit until the issue has been resolved or at the very least communicate this to the renter so they can make an informed decision about wanting to deal with a pest control issue. Sadly we were NOT given this choice. As a renter were expected to follow pages and pages of rules - but you NOT disclosing a pest control issue is not only unfair but shows the lack of respect you have for renters. Sadly, we ended up cutting our vacation early due to an issue that again was not communicated to us. We have been visiting the mountains for many years and have NEVER experienced a cabin with a bug problem until now.

You come to hike, kayak, bike, fish and enjoy the outdoors, but it was a wonderful stay. The only, and I say only because I was pleasantly surprised by everything, the only down side is the resort has room view options: mountain views or street views. I know this because we had such an awesome time we booked another night! The last night we had to switch rooms and the traffic on the new room/view of the road the resort is off of is loud! Nevertheless the staff was nice, all updated furniture & appliances.(not that I care about that) small shower. But the rooms with odd numbers have the mountain views and they are breath taking. The diner that is built in also has the best French toast I've ever encountered. If you like sea food - GET the TROUT ... It's always freshly caught right in the next town called Andrews. And the master chef is an amazing cook. All in all we will be coming back here in the Autumn. We seriously fell in love with the area and everything Bryson City had to offer.
