Honestly, all the animals looked happy and healthy, and it really felt like they were in their own element. The drive-through safari takes about an hour to an hour and a half if you take your time, but you can also go through in 30 minutes if you're just cruising. We didn't try the food, but there were lots of options available, plus a couple of gift shops. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be going back! Whether you're with kids, your partner, friends, or even going solo--it's such a fun and unique experience. If you're in or around Toronto, this place is a must-see!

The park is great for a walk, run, skating, biking or a picnic. They have great stuff to offer…read moreevery season: festivals during the summer and light festivals during the winter time. The park is well-maintained and you can easily follow physical distancing protocols. The playground and splash pad are conveniently located side by side and would be great for kids to spend time there and enjoy summer. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area; especially the waterfront restaurants are a great place to enjoy both your meal and Skyway Bridge and Lake Ontario view.

We went when the cherry blossoms were beginning to bloom but it was a tad bit early for the other floral arrangements to bloom in their outdoor gardens so it still felt winter-like. We started at one location early in the morning with the Arboretum. That's where you pay $25 to drive your vehicle in. Parking is ample early in the morning but when we left an hour or two later, there was a conga line of vehicles waiting to get in. So, yes you have to be there at least at around 8 AM if you don't want to wait in line or find parking. Parking is free at the main RBG region with their inside greenhouse region plus their outside garden. What I didn't like was that you had to drive out afterwards to go to the Rock Garden where you had to show your tickets again for entrance. Parking was still free though. So, overall, a lot of driving from one location to another (at least three) and a lot of walking. If you want to bring slow-walking seniors, good luck. It's beautiful scenery but a lot of walking involved.

With that said, it's very affordable and well-suited to families who have kids in the 3-12 age range. A great spot for locals or if you happen to be with your family in the area. For just under $30, a family can enter the park which has: an outdoor pool, a 20 ft. spiral water slide, a 'lazy river' tube ride, picnic benches (you can bring in outside food), and a kids playground. For another $5 (total), everyone in the family can have access the mini golf course - though its certainly an older run-down one. Finally, there's also a batting cage and it was fairly cheap too. The concession had the standard items such as hot dogs, hamburgers and sausages, along with chips and chocolate bars. Again, quite cheap and nothing was over $3.50. They even grill the food on the BBQ to order. That pretty much describes the place. Fairly simple, but also very affordable and a sure-fire way to enjoy a day with family on a warm summer's day.

This is a nice park with lots of hiking trails and lush woods, offering plenty of shades on a sunny day. The only trail that allows you to go down to the creek is #6 Half Moon Valley Trail. I would also recommend #4 Lookout Ravine Trail which is almost completely covered by trees and would be beautiful in the fall. You shouldn't miss the famous White Oak Tree, likely germinated since 1685 and at least 300 years old, close to parking lot A. The Spruce Lane Farmhouse is another highlight near parking lot F, which is a Victorian-style house showing visitors what life was like back then. The antique furniture, well-decorated rooms, farm equipment, and friendly volunteers wearing Victorian costumes gave us an immersive experience at the farm. The only problem is that the amenities are a bit dated, especially with the signage. The park staffs should hand out free maps as you enter the park, and there should be more directions as to where you are. I often had to rely on Google to check location and the pre-downloaded map from their website. The swimming pool remains under renovation as of summer 2024, so the park is not yet at its full potential.

I stayed overnight in Oakville after a rather long travel day. I was exhausted, especially when my flight was delayed and everyone on it ended up sitting at the gate at Toronto Pearson for an extra thirty minutes. Anyway, I was fortunate to get a late checkout at the hotel. I grabbed a bite to each and drove over to Coronation Park. You can't miss it if you're driving on Lakeshore Road. It's a large, beautiful park. I was hungry (I slept in until 11 am, so this meal was breakfast). I didn't manage taking any photos of this park. I'll need to the next time I'm in the area. It has a parking lot. I'd guess that it has at least 200 parking spaces. I had no problem finding a spot at nearly 1 pm on a Tuesday. However, if there's a festival or some event happening at this park, I can see parking being a problem. It's a lovely park, whether you are walking through it to soak in the views and Lake Ontario, or you're bringing the kids and family for an outing. It has a waterfront path where you can walk, bike, run, or skate. I liked seeing a large gazebo. It had picnic benches under it where you can enjoy food and drinks with family and friends. For kids, there's a splash pad in the summertime. It also has playgrounds for kids to run around and play I saw volleyball courts. If you're into volleyball, this park is definitely for you. There are public washrooms. I did see a snack bar, but I couldn't tell if it was open for business when I was here. I was too focused eating! It was a pleasant surprise to find this park. Ever since me reviewing rotisserie chickens in outdoor spaces went semi-viral, I've been giving this everything I got. My entire soul. I've sat at my corporate 9-5 job for years dreaming about something like this to happen, so when it finally did, I was ready. I pounced. I said to myself "yeah you're exhausted, but this is the time. It's quite literally now or never." I've given it everything, so at least at the end of the day I can look myself in the mirror and say I tried. I tried my best. Working a 9-5 job in tech sales while doing the writing, editing, eating, filming, traveling, etc. for this has taken every ounce of my being. It's starting to get to me. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining at all, I'm actually extremely grateful, but I just want to stay raw and honest. The reality is there are highs and lows with everything, and I'm just trying to learn how to navigate them. Seeing that Sports Science guy end it all the other day made me so sad. Like damn that guy brought so much joy to my childhood. Even he was going through it!?!? He looked so happy all the time. For me, the place was spacious, with a massive trampoline area, ball pit, rope swing, dodge ball area and others. I even liked how the trampoline area had varied sizes of squares (or trampolines) so that with some of the larger ones you would feel more comfortable to do things like flips and back drops. They also had a really cool monkey-bar, jungle gym area as well as a large arcade. Lots of couches for people to relax on, which were right on the same level as the trampolines that you could watch your kids from a close proximity. They place is very clean and the staff were plentiful and helpful. It's not necessarily the cheapest place, but considering the costs they would have (including lots of staff to monitor the jumpers), I'm sure it's a fair price. Great place and fail-proof for kids having a great time.

We later learned the AC had reportedly been out of service for about two weeks, yet no one contacted us in advance to let us know or offer the option to reschedule. Had we known, we never would have brought a group of children into those conditions. An Orange Heat Alert was in effect, and both children and adults became overheated. Some showed signs of heat exhaustion, and the kids were struggling to participate. Instead of enjoying their birthday, they left sweaty and disappointed. To make matters worse, the staff member assigned to our party was called away to a lengthy staff meeting while we were the only party there. We struggled to get water refills when they were most needed. Mara was helpful whenever she was available, but overall the staff seemed unprepared, and no manager came to check on our group or address the situation. What was most disappointing wasn't just the broken AC--it was how the situation was handled. There was no advance warning, no apology from the GM, no effort to mitigate the conditions with fans, complimentary cold drinks, arcade passes, or any other accommodation. Customer safety and satisfaction should have been the priority. We paid a hefty price for a memorable birthday celebration and instead experienced an unsafe and deeply disappointing afternoon. I hope management takes responsibility for how this was handled so other families don't have the same experience.
