5-4-3-2-1 Yes, I count down the time until my next appointment with Dr Steve D'Antonio! I've never had chiropractor work as I've been resisting knowing that it could make you better or much worse. Finally, after hitting the end of my rope, and trying to avoid painful and serious back surgery, I found Dr Steve. Wow!!! He explained how many chiropractors could have made me much worse with more aggressive procedures, and how he would work more conservatively on my body. He looks at the whole person, does a thorough assessment, explains things in depth like, and is more than kind and gentle. I leave feeling much much better. And over time, I'm needing less pain medication, moving better, and able to do more of what I used to do. His office is welcoming, from his "Jens" who greet you with a smile, to his plants that brighten the space. Well I never had a chiropractor before so at 52 I figured I go to someone local. My wife went prior to my visit and I was interested in his methodical process of finding out where your body stands as a whole. They ask detailed questions about how physical and what activities you do on a daily basis. They take xrays and put you through a bunch of situations to access your situation. Very well detailed. After they run you through a bunch of tests they evaluate everything and tell you if you need physical therapy or if you have certain areas that need attention. I love that this spot is so close to my house and they have pretty reasonable hours of operation. I should go to Dr. Steve on a regular basis as opposed to when I have flare ups as the work he does really helps one reset all around. I tend to go for sciatica flare ups as well as that off feeling when one is misaligned and needs adjustment. The staff is great, they walk you through everything if you are a first timer and really are knowledgeable as well. There's an iPad type thing where you pinpoint what pain areas you have (upon check in) and this way Dr. Steve knows before you even walk in. The appt itself is so quick! The longest I've waited was 10 minutes one time that was super busy but he has two tables in one room as well as a back office for a first time assessment and another room with some equipment. If you have never been to a chiropractor you are missing out - don't rely on meds to get your through, get your entire body adjusted, it can really throw you off and that misalignment leads to areas of pain.
