Within about 10 minutes she got sick and threw up. At first I thought maybe it was just her being too hungry, so I saved the food. Later, she tried eating it again, and the same thing happened she threw up shortly after eating it. I also noticed very poor sanitation while we were there. The worker handling food wasn't wearing gloves, the fries were being kept in what looked like a Bud Light container, and I saw her use her bare hand to grab fries for another customer. If you've never had a sip of A&W root beer in one of their frosty mugs, I definitely recommend it. It's frothy, carbonated, and sweet. So much better than your normal canned root beer. It was 8PM when we arrived. The store posted that they close at 9PM. There was a family of 5 in the restaurant. Two cars in the drive through. Us and a man behind us. So for 3 to 4 employees, I definitely understand how frustrating it must be. A shout-out to them. We were heading back home from a trip up North and we really appreciate how patient they were with us. It took less than 10-minutes to get our meals to go. We grabbed our own napkins because they didn't provide any in the bag. Our burgers were packed nicely. The buns were soft, patties were juicy, and condiments were all in. Our onion rings were super soggy and fell apart. Thank goodness we grabbed the napkins because oil went down our hands after each bite. The root beer was the best part of our meal. There were 3 of us today and we ordered a Maui hot dog that had bacon and pineapple and jalapeños, a Chicago style hot dog and and a new item not on the menu board. A elf dog with grilled onions, jalapeño and a sauce. The elk dog was awesome, almost better than the Chicago. Our person who ate the Maui dog felt it could of been hotter, but he lost his taste buds from a surgery ...lol...so his comments don't count. Previous trips included lobster roll (only on Fridays) and gyros. The hand pressed lemonade is good too.
