Decent cup of coffee, girls are friendly and easy on the eyes. A little bit off the beaten path in a industrial area

We stumbled across this little gem on a riverside morning stroll and were instantly hooked. The menu is packed with handcrafted drinks from espresso to lotus energy drinks and dirty sodas and everything we've tried has been a hit. Today I ordered a Pumpkin Caramel Latte, and it was fall in a cup. Warm, spiced, and sweet in all the right ways. Not overly sugary, just perfectly balanced. Every sip felt like crisp leaves, cozy sweaters, and golden October mornings. My daughter picked out a Raspberry Peach Dirty Soda made with Sprite and a splash of cream and let me tell you, she hasn't stopped talking about it since. Refreshing, creamy, and full of flavor, it was the ultimate late-summer treat. After grabbing our drinks, we wandered along the Columbia River waterfront, watching ships drift by and catching glimpses of local wildlife. It's rare to find a coffee spot where the location and the drinks are equally memorable, but Luckman nailed it. This place is officially on our weekly rotation. Great drinks, peaceful setting, and just enough off-the-beaten-path to feel like a local secret. If you're anywhere near Kalama -- go.

I was pleasantly surprised to see one in Kalama as my in laws live up the road. My experience at this one was really off. I ordered the 20 oz Mayan Mocha with almond milk and they wanted ~$8.5 for it. The sign said $6 for a 20oz. I asked how it came out to that. She said almond milk was .85 cents I was like okay then it should be like $7 with taxes. She said the signs are old and it was ringing up ~7.65 for a 20 oz then .85 for the almond milk. I asked how much was the 16 oz, she said ~$6.45 with taxes for the order then when I went to pay said it was like $7.25. I really don't get the extra charge for the milk alternative either. Milk and almond milk are comparable in price. It's about $4.5 a gallon. Starbucks started to charge one single price regardless of milk option/alternative. I left without coffee this day. I don't think I've ever done that. Warning to customers, watch and be cognizant of what they actually charge you per drink. Pricing is mysterious. I don't like being baited and switched in price.

Wonderful coffee/espresso taste, amazing drinks, and I do love those HUGE egg bites they call strata. (Beware of potatoes, Atkins dieters, though) These gals set a beautiful tone to the start of my day, no matter which location I visit: VANCOUVER, Woodland Dike Rd, or Kalama. This has replaced my favorite coffee stop, which used to be Paper Tiger. Such great taste, and such wonderful humanity.
