we have been to twin peaks several times, and always have a great experience. when we have visitors or out of town guests, we always choose to come here. my husband is a big fan of the wings, and i rotate between the salmon and fish and chips. the billionaire's bacon is always a huge hit, and i have enjoyed the service each time. every experience, the servers have been especially helpful. most recently, Gabbi was the one who treated us so well, especially remembering my friend's special drink order. unfortunately, there were a few very loud and drunk patrons, but i can't fault the restaurant for that. everything else is always top notch. read more

Rude staff. The food took forever but it was still delicious. My boyfriend and I went in around 8pm. The hostess greeted and seated us. Our waitress greeted us. No smile. Just a straight serious face as if she weren't happy to serve us. She never smiled the whole time she had any interaction with us. So I'm thinking she was mad that she couldn't bounce her titties in my man's face and flirt for a bigger tip. If I could, I'd let that hoe know she can bounce her titties in my face next time cause the only reason she got a tip was because I was there. My boyfriend didn't want to tip her at all. Was very excited to come here. Came in, waited for 30+ minutes to order beer +food here but seemed to be short staffed (which I understand). - eventually, we went up to the bar (because we weren't sure how the place worked, and if we could order food as well as drinks at the bar) and my boyfriend was treated very rudely and told that he couldn't order food at the bar (which is fine) but immediately very impatient towards him. He tried to order beer instead ,while we waited to order our food. His license is expired. She told him they couldn't serve him because wasn't of age (even though he is 24.) I understand they need to follow the law , but she knew he was of age and immediately told him he had to leave or the cops would come and arrest him. And funny part is we had other under age people with us and she had never id'd them or addressed the fact that they needed to be there with a parent or guardian. We were trying to cooperate or converse with them about the situation and shescreamed at us, and threatened us. Also entirely apart from all that, From what my friends said, the beer was lukewarm, the food was cold and they saw roaches in the bathroom. No one was wearing masks and no one was enforcing it. The "manager" who addressed our situation was very hostile and almost violent. She seemed to be on drugs. I expected more but it was pretty trash all around.. unless your a white male or white family you will probably get trash service and food.... Met a few friends for dinner last night at he independence location. Our waitress Brie and our food was fine. While waiting I overheard an argument between two customers. Seems one group of 6 guys were dropping f bombs and calling the staff all sorts of vulgar names and a 30 something email who was there with her dad was offended. When she asked them to stop she became the target of their loud and vulgar comments, and was told to shut the "f" up and mind her own business. Several other customers witnessed it as well and made complaints to a "manager", and I walked up to the main character and asked him to quit yelling and using the language. I then became the target. He told me to shut the "f" up. He said "I'm 6'4'' and Ill stomp a hole in you, want to go outside?" All of this while the "manager of the resturants was standing there. And here is why I wont go back while this "manager" is employed there. He did nothing, and apologized to no one. Sorry Twin Peaks, its really apparent that you have training issues. No one should be allowed to treat your staff, and others customers this way and not be asked to leave. read more

I was out for a date night with my husband and I wanted to try something new. nstead of going to any of our usual restaurants. Twin Peaks was a relatively new restaurant that neither of us had ever gone to. The reason being that it's the Canadian version of a Hooters restaurant. If you're not familiar with Hooters, it's a sports bar and grill that has attractive women who work as hosts and waitresses wearing tight tank tops and short shorts. I figured Twin Peaks would have the same sort of attire and figured that it's not that bad and I can handle it. I was shocked though when we walked in and their attire was A LOT more scandalous than Hooters. They basically wear flannel print bras with sleeves and tight short shorts (Now I understand the "SCENIC VIEWS" sign on the front of the building). I feel very secure in my marriage so I didn't feel too uncomfortable. I know that my husband adores me and he goes above and beyond every single day to show me that. And honestly, it's nothing he hasn't seen anyway. We had an adorable and friendly waitress, Mariah. She was super sweet! First glance at the menu, I knew I had to try something outside of the box. They serve American food like burgers, fries, pasta, etc. When I read the description for the Buttermilk Chicken Sliders, I was intrigued. Jalapeno gravy? Hollandaise sauce?? All on a buttermilk black pepper biscuit?! I was sold and it came highly recommended by our waitress too. I am not kidding when I tell you that these sliders were one of the best things I've ever eaten and also one of the most unique. They were a revelation. Don't let their size fool you, they're very filling. I could barely finish my 3rd one (but I obviously did). The combination of the sauces, chicken, and biscuit was pure perfection. We have actually gone back to Twin Peaks because we wanted more of those sliders. I can look past the atmosphere if they keep serving up delicious entrees! It's definitely worth it. Well here is a fair and balanced review. The inside is very nice and spread out. Lots of TVs. They also have an outdoor patio. The beers are a bit pricey but not too bad. The only issue with the beers is that the glasses are not just chilled, they have a layer of ice on the inside. The tap beer is kept way to cold (there is a billboard that tells you how cold the beer is). Its usually around 28 degrees. Anyway, when you get a draft beer count on getting about 2 1/2 inchs of slush on top. I don't want a beer slushy or a watered down beer. When I order a beer from them I make sure the mug is room temp. You still get a very cold beer. That's unless you like 2 1/2 inches of slush and watered down beer. (you will actually get less beer). I don't know if this was done on purpose by design to lessen their beer costs, or they like serving customers a beer with slush instead of foam. BEER IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A HEAD ON IT!! Its not supposed to be a Quick Trip Slushy!! Get a room temperature mug or have them rinse the ice off the glass...you will be glad you did. The food was good and reasonably priced. They have one of the best Philly Cheese Steaks in town. The wait time on food is horrific at times. One time I ordered an order of 12 chicken wings and it took 45 min. Another time I ordered some mozzarella sticks (they actually come out as bites) 35 Minutes. Now for the service. Twin Peaks took a chapter out of the Hooters play book at dressed their waitresses up very sexy (I am not complaining). Very attractive help they have there. However, unless you sit at the bar the service is very very bad. It would appear that the help is more into schmoozing with select customers or their buddies or running off into a corner with the other waitresses to screw off. One time I saw our waitress outside texting on her phone....took 20 minutes to get us drinks. This just didn't happen once. It happened every time I went there. Yes they are cute, but they have to be held accountable by someone. Where is the management? The food and drink service at the tables is really bad. I mean BAD. I will not sit at a table...ever. I sit at the bar. Last but not least a fair warning. Someone needs to monitor the bartenders regarding over serving. I seen have seen several people that were obviously sloppy drunk that were served despite being in this condition. I mean these people were totally oiled up. I took the opportunity to mention it to the bartender. Basically I was not taken seriously. It was if the Bartender was at a sorority frat party. Jim Beam and Coke flowed to this person. He could not walk straight and hardly talk yet they kept feeding him drinks. They have a word for this...its called overserving!!! An hour later he stumbled out the door with his car keys in his hand (let your imagination run wild regarding what could happen). Now I am not a party pooper. I love to party like the best of them. But serving someone that is totally wasted is irresponsible. Obviously they wont learn until this place gets the crap sued out of them. The owners need to take some personal responsibility and make sure the bartenders understand that it's a business, and not a Sorority Frat House. We have been here two times in the past and have always had a good experience; this was NOT one of those times. I think somewhere over the past year they must have renamed this place Twin Shrieks!". We were in town on our annual pilgrimage to welcome in the open season of Chiefs football and we knew before even arriving in town where our first stop was going to be, Twin Peaks of course for a cold brew and some appetizers. Well, not sure what has happened to this location but we found a hi-top on the patio where we could catch up on some of the Saturday evening college games, took a seat and waited, and waited, and, yep, waited, and then waited some more. It took more than 20 minutes before we were even acknowledged as even being present, don't you you think a barren table with no beers, menus, or silverware may have been a giveaway? In the meantime, we had three different servers just continue to walk by without even taking the time to ask if we had been helped yet. Finally, a manager had walked by and we asked if we could order a couple of beers and have a menu and he said he would find someone to assist. Obviously they were having some staffing issues that evening. Eventually we did have a server show up who took our order for two beers, whew! Finally a cold beer, oh wait...back to the waiting, and waiting and waiting...seriously, it was another 20 minutes before our beers arrived and that was after we had to ask our server if there was an issue. Anyways, now we had a good cold beer and could now enjoy watching some football, but wouldn't you know it! We found watching the staff to be even more entertaining and overhearing other customers complaining about placing food orders which had not been received upwards of an hour later. I called the manager over who we had previously spoken to two and he said that he was doing the best he could and that he had only been on staff for four days and because of staffing problems, he is now running food and drink orders as well. This is where it got kinda fun, if you've ever seen the I Love Lucy episode where she's working on the candy line, you get the picture. The manager as well as other staff members are now walking around with 3-4 beers at once, not knowing who ordered what or where they needed to go so they just started dropping them off at random tables as they pass-by, we even had 4 beers we didn't order put onto our table and there were only two of us. Eventually, the table next to us (a party of 6 guys) who had been waiting for their food order to show up, finally received their order's, PSYCH, it wasn't their order (lol), however that didn't stop them from having some fries and onion rings, until all of a sudden the server realized she delivered the order to the wrong table, then, as the group was enjoying their food, she removed it from their table and took it to another group of customers, ummm health hazard much? That was it, I immediately asked to speak to the General Manager. He came over and we told him what our experience had been so far and what we had witnessed. Now the GM was awesome and grateful that we had brought these issues to his attention and made many apologies for their being understaffed and obviously not adequately trained to handle the weekend crowds. Our server came over as well and confirmed the issues that we had brought to his attention since she had apparently raised these issues with her team of servers as well and was told by one of the servers that where we were seated wasn't in her area, the GM said that all area's are the responsibility of all servers. I'll assume that was probably her last night working there. We stayed for the UFC fights and received good service for the rest of the evening, but the 20 minutes between ordering a beer and receiving a beer never did improve, at which point we just decided to call it a night and head back to our hotel where we had cold beer in the fridge, needless to say, we didn't order anything from the menu on this trip. Seated promptly only about 15-20 people in the place. The waitress quickly showed up and when I ordered a water that's about where the service took a nose dive. She brought the water and asked do you want something to eat? Chipotle chicken and she turned and walked away. I intended to order a beer at that time but no show. When she delivered the food, by the time the plate landed she vanished! Seriously! I don't know how she did that. My water was about empty but she didn't see or ask. Another note, on her name badge it said trainer! By the way the meal was great! Prepared perfect! I like the food at Twin Peaks and visit regularly when I'm on the road. I was taken here by a friend so we could hang out and talk over old times. He knows I am into craft beer and chose this place... but that was a mistake. Only two IPAs of any note, mostly just the standard adjunct commercial lagers. They served the IPA in a generous mug, but it was frozen - and to make matters worse apparently with a lot of water left inside. The beer looked like a slushy with ice floating around and it was just a horrific way to serve decent beer. The food was ok, nothing special.
