Too many clubs, too many events. If you live in Longmont you literally paid taxes for the course but they simply don't care. Of course, we started with a wonderful bottle of wine. Then for appetizers, we had the German Nachos. German you say? Well, instead of the usual tortilla chips, they lined the bottom with house made potato chips. Then it was layered with sausage, sauerkraut, tomatoes, beer mustard, onion jam, green onions, and cheddar cheese. What a great taste! We followed that up with Sushi Bites, which was a bit (or make that a bite) on top of crispy rice rounds, guacamole, sushi grade poke salmon, pickled ginger, and much more. Great flavor. For the entree, my wife and I shared the Chili Garlic Salmon. As you can tell by the name, the perfectly cooked Scottish Salmon was served over Coconut Jasmine Rice, and grilled Asparagus with Micro Greens. My cousin and wife each had Cod. This came with Miso Sauce, Japanese Wasabi, Mashed Potatoes, Snow Peas, Red Bell Peppers, Arugula, Carrots, and Micro Greens. They couldn't stop raving about it. Our server (did not get her name) was attentive and pleasant.

But every single day, the staff at the restaurant is above and beyond excellent. Never had a bad experience. Club management tends to let kids slide on bad behaviors, watches groups of kids throwing rocks at bunnies (young rabbits) and does nothing, and teenagers frequently driving golf carts around the club drinking alcohol (especially on holidays with fireworks viewable at the course, it's carts packed with teens drinking). There is a common lack of respect for the game of golf with little help from management; teenagers riding carts at high speed for one. Highly recommend, amazing kid amenities at the restaurant (kids eat free Tuesdays!! Buffet!!) excellent social value. Just be prepared to play with folks who learned golf etiquette from Tiger Woods. Look elsewhere for true adult golf "by the rules" experience, but this is as family as you can get with no rules enforced. Views are endlessly beautiful and course well maintained. The reviews say the staff isn't to be desired, but I found everyone to be very friendly. 3. The outdoor seating is plentiful, although some overhead fans and maybe a tv or two would be perfect. 4. The course layout is great. Nice mix of left to right, and right to left holes, nice amount of water, and good bunker placement. 5. Golf shop is adequately staffed with what you may need. What stops it from being 4-5 stars: 1. The golf cart monitor. There's an annoying message every 5 minutes. So frustrating that we turned it off and used our phone apps. I don't need a message every 5 minutes when I'm trying to have fun. I actually cussed at it 2. The bunkers need fixing. They are thin and very granular/even pebble like. They're playable, but not good. 3. The indoor part of the clubhouse is a clunky layout and not near enough tv's. There are very few seats at the bar or where tv's are visible. They should flip sides and have tv's where most of the seating is. 4. For goodness sake, have club cleaners in the carts and give us ice in the coolers.

And shopping for equipment at the Longmont 'Play it Again Sports' was the best experience I've ever had. My kids were signed up for hockey, but my husband and I had never played so we we were really overwhelmed with what we needed to buy and after shopping online, we were suffering from serious "sticker shock." The gentleman who helped us delivered better customer service than we could have expected from anywhere. He gave us over an hour of his time, explaining what we needed and why, helping us shop the best deals ... we absolutely couldn't have done it without him. We are super appreciative of his expertise and patience! The store was clean, organized, and every single employee was kind and knowledgeable. I will never shop anywhere else for sports equipment - I don't care if there's a better deal somewhere else. The customer service, atmosphere, and assistance when I'm unsure of which gear is invaluable. Thanks again for getting our family off on the right foot and setting our kids up for a successful season of hockey! You all are AWESOME! See you next season!

We selected Boulder Country Club as the wedding reception venue for our only daughter. The event…read morewas held April 5, 2014. It was important for us to have parking available as well as having everything done in-house. The layout allowed for an easy flow from the bar, dance floor, and dining. There was an elevator for a couple of our guests, who would not have attended had they not been informed. The views and well groomed grounds are hard to beat. We can't say enough about Mallorie, the event planner/manager. Although we are not members of the Boulder Country Club, she was very receptive, helpful, and knowledgeable from the very beginning when we expressed an interest. We were in close contact for over three months and she was always available or got back to us quickly. We even had a full meal tasting and got to meet the chef. We had to do the minimal. Even the florist dealt with Mallorie about the set up. All the small details and then some were taken care of by Mallorie and her staff of at least 12 helpers for our 100 guests. The food was cooked to perfection. We served beef filet and cod. The filet was cooked medium rare and tasted like a more expensive cut. The portions were large. The cod was not breaded and was perfectly cooked. The service...... it's comparable to the Flagstaff House or a Michelin rated establishment. All the entrees were served simultaneously. For a table of 8, there were 4 servers at the same time!! Roger Cridlebaugh of Rock 'N Roger's, was our DJ and had the right selection of music to get our guests onto the dance floor. We are talking about people who seldom dance. The photo booth from 5280 Events, was such a hit. It was hopping for the entire 3 hours. The emails and comments from our guest were the ultimate verification of this superb venue. Nothing but "thumbs up" from everyone. Check it out! You will also be pleasantly surprised at the cost. Thank You Boulder Country Club, Mallorie, and staff.
