The staff they got works hard everyday to be their best. As far as cleanliness goes it's getting better daily with little in the way of smells. Food is good but could be better. Activities are top notch they are genuinely concerned about entertaining residents. When you walking in you are greeted by the best receptionist. Would definitely recommend. 4 stars

There was an employee talking on her phone loud as soon as we entered the lobby talking about she was going to beat someone up. The staff did not get up from their seats to do or say anything (other then one kind nurse advised us to call 911 and get him out of there right away because they can't care for him.) The entire place was filthy. Trash and dirty sheets on the floors in the rooms. No Ac and it was 94 degrees outside. Holes in the ceiling and walls. Construction being done outside of the rooms. Patients had no clothes on due to the heat. He had no call button, no proper bed for his condition. I would not send a dead dog there and I'm so shocked that place is even open. I feel sorry for the people there without family to advocate for their wellbeing. My son would have died if I let him stay there. Yelp is asking me to give it a star rating and won't let me post a review without a star. I would give it no stars if I had the choice.

By not including any less than complimentary comments a clear picture is not being presented. My mother (and my father until his passing) lived in the Seasons community for 11 years - 9 years at Seasons and 2 years at Courtyard. The years in independent living was tolerable - Courtyard, not so much. The lack of staffing, particularly at night, was very concerning. When you have one nurse on duty and a scattering of aides handling 3 floors of elderly residents, this is makes for a less than ideal assisted living arrangement. Care conferences were never held, repairs requested for her apartment (broken tile in bathroom - possible trip hazard), thorough apartment cleaning as stipulated in lease agreement each took over a year to achieve. Other than an ideal location there is nothing ideal about Courtyard. My mother at age 96 passed away recently and no one in the management of Senior Lifestyle had the humanity to even utter condolences to our family. Concerns regarding the facility were also voiced to the President of Senior Lifestyle in their Chicago headquarters and has also been completely ignored. Would NOT recommend this facility to any family looking for an assisted living facility.

The majority of the nurses and just about all of the part-time nurse aids are disrespectful and could care less about what they do. It's clear that they are not being held accountable from management. They use profanity, raise their voices, and take their time. I stayed late one night, and witnessed a nurse aid sleeping in the lobby while 2 rooms had their help light on for over 20 minutes. While the service is poor, the facility also needs a huge renovation. They make it look nice on the outside, but the inside is completely outdated and desperately needs an update.

I was sitting with a friend who lived in assisted living there. I was in independent living at the time. I can only assume that the Lodge allowed a rumor to circulate that I was after his money. Never was this true. We had become friends and he needed help because his power of attorney was not taking care of his needs. He asked me to help him. In retrospect I guess I shouldn't have gotten involved, but I didn't know/realize that his family and the Lodge staff would turn on me. My intentions were honorable....This rumor should have been stopped by the DON. I stood up and tried to get my pamphlet back (it was information on power of attorneys for healthcare....it was NOT anything for him to sign. Thie entire situation was very much mishandled. They handcuffed me and sent me to jail for the night.....saying I was guilty of "physica laggression, and an attempt to cause harm to the aid.". Then when I returned to the facility, Crystal Flaherty DON came to my door with an eviction notice that gave me 24 hours to leave. This entire situation has cost me a lot of money (I have had to move twice). And I was to get on medicaid waiver after paying full price for two years....but the eviction happened just prior to the two year mark. I tried to discuss this with Edward Beatrice COO, but I have found that the Lodge employees stick together, and don't want to deal with the truth...he dismissed me. Then recently he sent me a letter telling me not to communicate with anyone at the Lodge and "to refrain from making or spreading false statements about "Caring Place" Wow....talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

She was well liked by the residents and their family, often receiving thank you letters and cards for going above and beyond what is expected of her. In Feb. 2012 the fuel pump went out on her car. She brought in a receipt for repair, but was still written up. Now this alone seems fairly cruel to discipline someone for something unexpected that could happen to anyone. But what really takes the cake. Easter Sunday she was scheduled to work and woke up to a dead battery. Again she called her job, left messages, and brought in a receipt. The following Monday she worked, was off Tuesday, and FIRED Wednesday. The lack of compassion from the management here is rampant. The care more about their bottom line than for the years of hard work and dedication their staff put in. Just imagine putting your vulnerable loved one in the care of these types of people. Had 2nd opinions. Tried over 12 different kinds of meds that normally help migraines, but not me. Actually made it worse. Now I'm on a list to see a headache specialist in April 2015...if I live until then. Lol That's just a little history before I share my experience at Peak Performance. So I heard that Andy has helped many people that have suffered with migraines and in severe pain. Many were helped after one treatment. So why not try and see. I set up the appointment online. My experience was very easy. The only time you run into an issue is if he is completely booked. I like the fact that you can choose your availability compared with his. The building is easy to find. The lobby is comfy and elegant. Andy is super nice and very good at what he does. You see him right when your appointment is, no waiting. I was amazed how he found trigger points, pressed in, found the release, and sometimes a referral of release. I thought he was easing up, but no, my muscles were easing up the pain. Thank God! By the time we were done I was feeling so much better. My neck, shoulders, and face were relaxed and loose...just like they should be. Yes, I said face. Who knew your face muscles needed a release of tightness to feel better. I even feel like I glow this evening. Sort of hard to explain. I just feel good. On that note of feeling good, he has warned me that I could experience pain in the areas we worked and even possibly a rebound headache. I've had a constant headache for almost two years, but I've head head, neck, and shoulder pain and knots for over 15 years, so if it works out that way, ok. We may need to do a few more treatments before complete relief. That's ok with me. I've been dealing with this way too long with no help at all. Today was one big step in the right direction.
