I was fortunate enough to try the classes with their 8 classes for $99 deal. The bathrooms were clean, the facility was clean, and the staff was kind. Some people got codes to the door so they could enter for their classes, but I didn't get that luxury. The pricing for membership is decent (might be steep for others depending on your budget), but I wish they offered more medium/low income friendly options. Or at least extended the amount of classes you get access to. The scheduling is online which is great, but the availability was scarce for what I wanted to try. I'm recovering from an injury so the instructors were mindful and offered variations I could try instead that would've cause me pain. Still, I think gentle Pilates Reformer would've worked better for me and I didn't get to try that because it was only offered during the day and never after 5pm.

I previously was very active in pilates mat & reformer, but another studio I went to closed and another I was going to you can never get into classes, I peeked my head in the door and Rachel the owner was there setting the space up. She welcomed me, told me about the studio, I saw they had a mat room, which I missed taking mat pilates classes. I went home reviewed their website, signed up for mat pilates and took my first classes this week. Rachel welcomed me for my first class on Monday, several of the students in the class also welcomed me, several of us talked after the class and they told me how much they loved Rachel and the studio. I went back for a second class yesterday and again was welcomed and more students raving about the studio, the mat pilates is hard, but just what I need to get back into shape. I'm looking forward to getting back into reformer classes too soon. Thank you Rachel and Prism Pilates team a refreshing fitness studio in Oakley.

To begin, you have to take an intro class first which was very helpful. I have taken two classes so far, both with Molly, and she has been so helpful and really pushes you! The classes are small (first one was 6 people, second was only 2) so they are small enough for individualized attention, which I prefer. I definitely recommend checking out the free intro class and then buying a package! Also, the plants and natural light in the space are great.

Do you body a favor and take a Pilates class, then take several more!…read more I was recommend Pilates by my physical therapist after a knee injury and surgery which made it difficult to be as active as I used to be. I had also been experiencing back and shoulder aches and spent 8 months with a chiropractor with no resolution. I took an intro class, they are free and a great introduction of you've never worked with a reformer, I had not. You will also need socks with grips on the soles. The instructor was incredibly helpful and talked out each move and breathing techniques. They have also taken the time to come over and adjust you if your form is wrong (COVID has changed things). All of this is to say that after 3 months of starting Pilates, the pain my shoulder and back are nearly gone, my posture is better (I sit in front of a computer all day), and I have seen a huge difference in what my knee is able to do now compared to my first Pilates class (I had a lot of modifications). Membership: There are several different types of memberships based on number of classes you'd like to attend monthly or weekly. The passport for example is an unlimited membership that allows you to go to any Club Pilates nationwide and costs $259/monthly. Classes: An abundance of experienced instructors and classes. You can book using the app and the login is site specific. This is my only issue with Club Pilates; the old app worked well for me but the 2.0 version does not.

Sometimes I hate giving 5 stars to a local gem because I fear it will lose it's edge when more and…read moremore people go. But seeing on how I relay on Yelp to make some of my decisions, I am doing this for the team!. Pendleton Pilates is an amazing place to get a full body workout with no pressure, or physique credentials!! There is a full spectrum of body sizes, athletic ability, and body versatility and everyone is comfortable! You workout at your own pace and making sure that you use the correct form and pay attention to your body. The classes are small 4-8 people, which means that you get a pseudo individualized training. I guess that is why it's so damn expensive, but recently i had a realization that your health comes first, and then your money - once the healthy goes, the money won't make you happy. However, I still struggle shelling out $255/mo for an unlimited month package; which is much better than 10 Group Sessions: $230, 20 Group Sessions: $420, or especially 30 Group Sessions: $540!! Yikes!! So in order to sleep at night, I get the unlimited month package, which motivates me to go to as many classes as I can, so I can pay less per class. And that really works!! Sometimes I'm tired or just too darn lazy, but paying less is definitely an incentive to get in there and get my workout/money's worth! So if your not big into working out or don't like the big gym feel, I recommend Pilates Reformer.. It helps with every nook and cranny of your body - you will notice the difference with just a few classes and there is no pressure. #GettingFit
