I'm following up on my previous review to share more about my friend's journey. A few years ago, two different doctors in the U.S. recommended surgery for his torn shoulder , but he was so busy, he never followed through--just kept suffering from the pain. I live in California, but my friend lives in Ohio. As a Chinese person who strongly believes in acupuncture, I was the one who found Dr. Linda online and booked the appointment for him last year October. After his first visit , he felt different, he started going once a week, and short after , his pain improved so much that he doesn't need to go every week. I had multiple bad experiences with Linda. Several times my sessions were shortened even though I paid for an hour. One time I was five minutes late because of an unexpected traffic problem. She was not at all kind or understanding about it. I was thinking a little bit about trying out cupping, but when I saw the cost, I realized that it was scam. She charges $25 for cupping on each section of the back. So, if you want cups on your shoulders, mid-back, and lower back, you will pay $75 extra on top of the acupuncture treatment. It's outrageous. I found another outstanding and less expensive acupuncturist in the Cincy area who does not charge anything extra for cupping. My advice for Linda is that if she doesn't want to offer cupping, then don't offer it, but don't rip people off. Her pricing makes her treatment inaccessible for people who are struggling financially. read more

My wife first discovered Tiny Needle after extended treatment for a back problem. Her treatment included physical therapy and steroid injections. After little success, the doctors suggested that my wife start opioid treatment as a last resort and consider surgery. The surgeon to whom my wife was referred also practiced acupuncture as a possible treatment prior to having surgery. My wife tried a few treatments with good results. Because of the cost involved with receiving treatments from a surgeon, my wife looked for another provider and found Tiny Needle. Now, after many years pain-free, my wife is eternally grateful to the surgeon and Kristine for their care. Currently, I've been experiencing shoulder and hip pain. This is the most affordable acupuncture I have found in the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky area. They have a sliding scale cost. You basically pay what you can afford. I actually end up going here more than I would elsewhere because it is so reasonable. The office setup and treatment is different in that there are several reclining chairs in a room. You kick back and treatment happens on arms, legs, head. I believe they do have a private area if they need to treat you elsewhere on your body, but I have yet to need that. The decor is simple yet beautiful. Soothing music adds to the experience. I absolutely love the main acupuncturist who is also the owner. She really listens to all my concerns. And she knows her stuff. She even makes recommendations on what I can do other than acupuncture like diet and certain stretches. The office is located in Mt. Lookout Square. You probably have walked by it on your way to get sushi. They do have a sign out front, and they are located on the second floor. It is not a walk-in facility, but what I LOVE is that I can schedule and pay for my treatments online!!! I've never had an issue getting an appointment. I saw Kristin while my husband and I were struggling to get pregnant, and then I saw her during my first trimester of a pregnancy that we were blessed with thanks to IUI. Since when are medical personnel able to refuse people base on religious beliefs? Ethically, are you able to stop a "medical" treatment? Anyone who chooses to use her, beware, you never know when you will fall on her cannot treat list. Are you using birth control? Technically that is not allowed in the Catholic Religion. I've never knew real pain until I pinched a nerve (and possibly ruptured a disc) in my back last year, and was in excruciating pain for two solid months. It was so much pain, I wasn't able to hold my 2-month-old son! I begged multiple doctors to give me more meds, but they told me my pain was 'normal' and that I should suffer through it. When you are desperate enough, you'll try anything- that's what led me to try acupuncture (at a friend's suggestion). Walking into Tiny Needle, Kristen sat down with me, talked about what she did, and managed my expectations. She assured me that it took a few visits before feeling a difference, and sure enough- after a couple treatments, it relaxed my tense muscles enough for my back to heal, relieved much of my pain and left me feeling functional for the first time in weeks! A few weeks and several visits later, my back had almost completely healed itself! The payment schedule was very flexible (you choose your own price as long as you meet the minimum) and generous and allowed me to get the proper treatment I needed without breaking my bank. Kristen explained that sometimes it takes a while, and she didn't want a little thing like money to keep people from finding relief. I still go back for the occasional treatment and I never pay the minimum price - she's earned my trust and is worth every penny. Looking back, this was a life-saver to me. I've never been an alternative medicine guy, but I'm now sold on acupuncture. I still don't know HOW it works... but I know it made a huge difference. read more
