We contacted them and they were prompt to send a service tech out to look over the issue. After the assessment, replacing the shower body (valve and cartridge) was necessary. Plus having to cut into either the tile and/or the drywall to get to the pipes, would be an additional cost with their contractor between $200-400. Because we thought we could replace the shower/tub set fixtures and cartridge ourselves, we bought the entire kit at Home Depot for the fraction of the cost they wanted to charge us for the set. Picture Rocks told us they would start the repair that morning and would have to come back that following Monday to complete the repair. Their estimated price was $1650 without the contractor's price. However, they were giving us credit for the set we purchased but they couldn't warranty it only their labor which was understandable. I called a family member who is a licensed HVAC and Plumbing company owner in Phoenix. To make sure we were getting a fair cost, he told us they were charging us way too much to replace and install the entire shower body. His company charges for that type of installation up to $800 with no issues. He was taken back by the estimate and told us to find another company. Needless to say, we found a fair, licensed and knowledgeable Plumber here on Yelp. We waited on his estimate and to our surprise, his price was significantly lower and in the same range of what our family member stated. Minus the dry wall repair, which we can do ourselves due to being a small square cut out and the price was fair. Therefore, due diligence is necessary in getting a fair price, even on a holiday weekend (Easter). Don't go with the first recommendation, in a long run, this will save you money.

My experience was far different from most of the reviews. I explained that the system on my rental…read moreproperty was running, but not cooling to the desired setpoint. I also told the dispatcher that I had a two story house with a roof unit, so the tech would need an extension ladder. They sent their most inexperienced tech to troubleshoot my AC. When I arrived at my rental propery, I saw an extension ladder against the side of my house which was far too short to safely reach my roof. I climbed up the ladder, a bit unsure about its stability, and called out to the tech to tell them I was moving their ladder to a more accessible area for the roof. The tech had replaced the condensor fan contactor, telling me it was bad. I commented that the fan was previously running and that the contactor should be good. The tech said that the contacts were burned. Regardless, the contactor worked, and the burn marks are the result of 20 years of service, not a defective part. Former electrician speaking here. The next day, the unit still wasn't cooling so the tech returned. He removed the evaporator cover panel and we both saw the evaporator coil was a solid block of ice and needed to thaw out. I reiterated that the contactor wasn't the issue. The tech said he wanted to leave the part in since the other contactor was so old and would probably fail soon. I told the tech I didn't want to pay $275 for a $15 part, but that I would settle this with the office. We had to wait another day for the coil to thaw. Meanwhile, my tenants are uncomfortable with the higher inside temperature of the house. Fortunately, another tech was assigned to address my AC issue. I requested that the refrigerant level be addressed. The tech confirmed that my system was indeed low. I explained the issue with the unnecessary contactor and the tech told me he would remove that from my bill. In the end, the bill was a wash because the cost of the refrigerant was exactly the same price as the contactor. How convenient. In the end, three days were wasted and nearly $400 spent to get the system running again. I just can't help but think that had an experienced tech diagnosed the issue first, it could have been taken care of for less money and a lot less time and inconvenience. I can't afford to take those chances again so will not be using or endorsing Samson and Sons.
