Long time customer of Twiggy's. Great location to meet friend and make friends over the years. Parking lot is level, new entry on East side has handicap ramp. Rest rooms were Handicap accessible. Hallie was are server and she did a fantastic job even though she was busy waiting on inside and outside customers. Pretzel sticks were wonderful. Pizza was cooked to order hot and tasty. Beer was cold. Seating was comfortable, the place was clean and all the staff were friendly. If in area stop in and visit you won't be disappointed. read more

Good food, but don't go there for lunch expecting a 30 minute experience. Be prepared for to stay two hours.

The only complaint I would have is how long the service took to get food. But they were very busy. The ambience was great. They had a band and it was really a good one. Everybody had a good time. The food was pretty good too once we got it lol read more

We get Twiggy's/Sweet Lou's every time we are in town for the Special Olympics. It's become a tradition! We like the froggy poppers. Woohoo! Spicy, but good! The pizza is always fresh and tasty. Food is alright, Bosco sticks are the bomb and I love the salad bar. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes you'll sit for 10-15 min before being helped and sometimes they are on it. You gotta be prepared to wait when you go. Inside is kinda loud. This place is more a biker bar than a family pizza place. Kids are allowed but it's not really set up for family. For a visitor to the south side of Terre Haute, this place is kind of a ways away to get to, but well worth the drive. Local Trivia: Come to find out "Twiggy" was the nickname of one of the owners mother, thus where the name came from. Not really a dive bar, because it is actually clean and well decorated for a beer and pizza joint, this spot is a local gem. Judi our server was friendly, fun, personable and despite other reviews, was not slow and we did not experience bad service. I think the trick to overcoming slow service though is to not go when it is busy. We showed up at 4:45PM on a Friday, had a great experience, but by 6:00pm when we were leaving, the place was packed. We had sampled kind of an array of stuff from their menu, including a calzone, pizza, wings, Shock Top on tap and pretzel sticks. All food was served hot from the kitchen to our table in a timely manner. Kind of surprisingly, for my bar for pizza in a random spot on the east side of Terre Haute was low, the calzone and the pizza were exceptional. It is the dough! Go for the dough! The dough is the foundation that set the stage to our really great meal at Twiggy's. Their pizza dough and calzone dough (which is probably the same) is exceptional. You can tell that the dough was actual dough at some point and that the calzone shell and pizza crust were not some pre-done, frozen to thaw, bulk purchase item. It almost has a artisan taste, but it is fresh, soft, hot, tastes hand rolled out on a table-top taste and is delicious. Then add a bunch of cheese and veggies and you have one hell of a pizza. If it was a toss up, I would say the calzone was better than the pizza, only because when the veggies and meat are nestled into the pocket, they simply taste a little better. Their red pizza sauce is a bit sweet, which is not a favorite to many, but I enjoy. One of our pizzas was the special of the day (so ask for their specials!) was a baked chicken with butter and no red sauce, plus garlic and cheese and because the dough is so good, the pizza was a special treat. They have an indoor seating area, bar seating (which appears to be where the locals hold court and houses a full bar) and an outdoor area that is like a large screened in porch. Not sure going when this place is slammed and potentially service is slow is the way to go to enjoy this place, but I would absolutely enjoy consuming another meal from Twiggy's again. read more

we arrived after a long day at a Vendor Show. Really Disappointed, Server did not check on us, no refills, no plates, no silverware, we had to ask for napkins. we did have adult beverages, but never checked to see if we wanted refills or water. Food was mediocre at best. took 50 minutes to arrive. Calzone did not have much filling, pizza was just ok. would have been nice to have a beverage with our supper. They were not very busy at 6pm I would expect and have had better service here. it will be awhile before we try again. read more

I normally love this place. Probably my favorite around. Tonight was garbage. We ordered a large meat lovers add mushrooms. The waitress brought out the pizza with raw mushrooms on it. She said the cooks forgot to add them so they did afterwards. We said we didn't want the pizza and paid for everything else. read more

First time here, and I am leaving with mixed feelings. I'd definitely recommend to friends, as long as they didn't care about service. Cute building, kinda has a 'beach house' feel. Lots of biker decor. Says that it's a pub but they are kid friendly. Took the waitress about 7 min to get my boyfriend his beer. We got the breadsticks and they were just OK, not very garlicky. The pizza, however, was very delicious. I never got a refill till the very end, after our original waitress either left or went on break without telling us. Ordered 4 large pizzas on a Saturday night. Delivery was fast, and pizzas were still fresh. I personally enjoyed the thin crust the best, but members of my family loved the original crust as well. The jalapeños were spicy! And the garlic was delicious. We ordered cheese, meat lovers, pepperoni/sausage, and veggie - garlic, jalapeños, onions, banana peppers. Not a complaint in the house. Twiggy's has best pizza in Terre Haute and manages to have an environment that is adult and kid friendly. At least once a month they have live music that supports local artists. There is a great bar and all of the employees/servers that I met have been very kind. I would highly recommend Twiggy's to anyone who hasn't been there yet. read more

We were immediately seated, ordered the salad from the small bar, which was good and fresh. That was it. Drinks came after we'd eaten salad. No refills in sight. Help was rude and distracted. The place was maybe half full. Finished the salad, finally had to hail someone for refills. Got those, and finally ordered food. She wasn't our server, so she had to go and find her. Ordered a large pizza for dine-in. Had another salad. An hour later, no pizza. No refills. Good thing there was TV to watch. The party out on the porch seemed to be getting good service. At the 1 hour mark, I went to the bar and asked what was going on. "We're really busy!". Uh, no, you weren't. Canceled the order, and they had the nerve to try and charge us for it. Found out the pizza had not even been started. We paid for the drinks and left with a $10 gift certificate and no apology. Tore up the cert. Never going back. Two stars, because the salad was nice. I've been here a few times while visiting my Brother in T.H. He's a fan. The pizza is pretty good with decent draft beer selection. Last time we went I wasn't in the mood for pizza so I got the Italian Beef. It was actually very good...however they had no option of hot peppers and the I asked if they could just put some onion etc. on top of it they charged a couple bucks more. Twiggy's is a pizza joint/pub that leaves a lot to be desired. My wife and I have been there twice now. Just to be fair, for consistency's sake. The beer is good. The pizza we ordered was not cooked through. The dough was still wet and sad looking. They ended up taking it off of our bill, but that's the smallest problem we had. The wait staff are all young college aged kids who love to chat more than check on tables. Both times we were there it took over 15 minutes before we were even greeted and our drink orders taken. Both food orders and drink orders took extremely long to show up. A regular order of fries that my daughter wanted were $3.50.. Problem with that... They were frozen small fries you can buy at Aldis for $3 for a 5 pound bag. All in all, it's cheap food served slowly and full of culinary incorrectness. But at least you can get a drink when the wait staff get done chatting. read more

Very good pizza. Nice crust, a little crunchy on the outside and a little doughy on the inside, has a slight beer flavor to it but maybe that's just from the yeast. The tomato sauce is pretty flavorful and they don't skimp on the toppings. Much better than your average chain restaurant. I haven't really had anything else on the menu because the pizza is so good. Prices are pretty reasonable on both food and drinks. Nice laid back place with good service, fun place to go to watch football games. read more
