    Cheese sticks

Amazing food! Highly recommend the cheese sticks. They are huge! And the breading is very tasty. If you are ever in Terre Haute, this is the place to go! Addison is an amazing bartender! Best service on the west side of the state. And has a lot of cool pictures of Larry Bird on the wall. Such a neat hidden Indiana gem!

This bar may not look like much from the front, but inside you will find a local bar serving cold drinks and tasty bar food. The Copper Bar is located downtown Terre Haute (next to the Terminal), and has seating available inside along with on the patio outdoors. I enjoyed a pizza and beverage while sitting at the bar. There are several appetizers to start your evening at the Copper Bar such as pickle chips, famous fried mushrooms, onion rings, mozzarella sticks, quesadillas, wings, and nachos. Along with pizza, you can also order main entree items like burgers, tenderloins, chicken tenders, battered cod, and more. Check out the Copper Bar in Terre Haute today!

A perfect bar especially for dinner and drinks. I'm always impressed with how great the food is for being bar food! The pizza is amazing and crispy. And the Amy's Salad is hands down the best salad I've had in town. Great spot to watch a game or to grab drinks late night!

    Half-breast Chicken Sandwich

Went in on a Sunday night in late May 2024. The service was acceptable but not great, between the kitchen and the bartender it took half an hour from order to delivery of my half-breast chicken sandwich. Not sure where the delay fell but I'd say it was on my waiter because after I asked about it, it suddenly appeared. So, I'd guess it was sitting in the back for a few. Anyway, Yeah, the kitchen literally tore the chicken breast in half and served it to me on my sandwich. Shrinkflation and all, ya know. When I asked the bartender about it she indicated "All our chicken sandwiches come like that.", Keep this in mind before you order their $13 half-breasted chicken sandwiches. Other than containing half of the meat that it should have the sandwich was decent. Their home cooked chips are good. The guy sitting next to me ordered the nachos which came stacked and topped high, as they should be. The place was reasonably quiet but could get really noisy if full.

This is a quaint little local establishment in Terre Haute within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn and Candlewood Suites, right next to the college campus. It has a great selection of beer and spirits, and GREAT bar food. The homemade potato chips are my fav, and on my first visit I had the Philly cheesesteak covered in beer cheese. I ate every last morsel! There is a little patio space out front if you like to sit outside, but not too many tables or space, it's mostly just for those of us who need some fresh air. The service was great, highly recommend!

Food. The food is always consistent. It is pretty much your standard bar food with not a whole lot standing out in my mind. Drinks. They have a full bar. They also have multiple taps with plenty of craft beers on tap. Atmosphere. I always think it smells like a bathroom in here. Which is not a pleasant thing - unless of course you are in to that sort of thing. There are plenty of TVs for sports, which is nice. Service is always pretty good as well.

Mozzarella sticks. Wow, they were huge and delicious!!

It's dated in the best possible way: dim lighting, worn-in character, familiar faces, and that unmistakable local hangout atmosphere where regulars clearly outnumber first-timers. The highlight here is the Tweety Burger, and honestly, that's the reason to come. It reminded me immediately of the classic Midwest style you'd find at places like Minor-Dunn in Highland, Indiana. The patty is smashed thin and cooked flat on the grill, giving it those crispy edges and deep, savory flavor you only get from a well-seasoned griddle that's seen years of use. It tastes homemade--not engineered, not trendy, just a straightforward burger done right. You can tell they take their time with the food. Nothing feels rushed or mass-produced. The burger comes out hot, flavorful, and satisfying without trying to be gourmet or overcomplicated. No towering Instagram presentation--just a solid, honest burger that delivers exactly what you want from a local pub. Service matched the vibe perfectly. The staff were personable, welcoming, and genuinely friendly in that small-town way that makes you feel less like a customer and more like a guest stopping by a neighborhood spot. Charlie's isn't flashy. It's not modern. And if you're looking for upscale dining or trendy décor, this isn't the place. But if you want an authentic mom-and-pop tavern experience with a burger that locals clearly treat as a tradition, it's worth the stop. Best advice: stick with the Tweety Burger. Don't overthink the menu. Order it, enjoy the atmosphere, and experience a piece of local Terre Haute character. Not a destination restaurant--but absolutely a solid local classic you should try at least once.

The building is absolutely stunning. From the mural along the side with some Indiana favorites to the very tasteful woodwork inside. All four of us thought our food was really good. feels like a place trying to be everything at once--and unfortunately not doing any one thing…read moreparticularly well. It's part college bar, part live music venue, part sports bar with golf simulators, and part wing/grill restaurant. The concept sounds fun on paper, but in practice it comes across dated and unfocused. The food was the biggest disappointment. I went in expecting solid bar food--nothing fancy, just reliable wings and fried staples. What arrived was inconsistent at best. Two wings were undercooked, and one wasn't even battered on one side. At first I assumed it was frozen food quality, but it honestly felt more like a lack of kitchen consistency and oversight. If you're hungry, the food is edible, but it's not something I'd go out of my way for. Service didn't help the experience. The bartender spent a noticeable amount of time sitting at a table socializing rather than checking on guests, which made the place feel inattentive despite not being overwhelmingly busy. The atmosphere clearly caters to the college crowd, and to be fair, I can see why students would enjoy it--drinks, music, and a casual hangout spot. It's probably not going out of business anytime soon because it fills that niche. But if you're expecting a polished sports bar, quality grill food, or a standout dining experience, this likely won't meet those expectations. After reading other reviews, the "hit or miss" reputation seems accurate. My recommendation: stop in for a beer first. If the vibe is good that night, stay. If not, cash out and move on. If wings are your goal, there are better options in town. Overall, not terrible--but definitely lackluster and not a destination spot.
