I'm from terre haute and use to come to this place quite often for peoples birthdays and other occasions. I joined the military a little over a year ago and got to come back home to visit some friends. Was asked for my id and gave the waitress my military id and she was confused since she was newer and I understood that so she wanted to go check with the manager on it. She came back and let me know "my military id don't mean shit here" was his exact words. Completely disgusted with this place and will NEVER give them my service again and will continue to relay that this establishment doesn't care for the military community and should be ashamed of their management. Food was fantastic! Plenty of TVs to watch what ever game you wanted. Veronica was a rock star. She was prompt and attentive. We were there on a Sunday night and it was pretty packed. She manned the bar and several tables single handedly. What an amazing multitasker. Watching her was quite entertaining. While Veronica was busting her tail off, one of her co-worker was sitting down at tables with guests (young gentlemen) and chatting away. Didn't know anything about this place, but a coworker thought we should try it. Ordered the cajun burger lunch special. Curious how they could serve a burger lunch for $6. Not very well is the answer. Really cheap burger patty is the heart of the issue. More akin to a fast food burger than what is typical for a casual dining eatery. The cajun seasoning was at least 50% salt, and just dried out the already salty burger. Lettuce and onion were limp. The server did a decent job keeping our glasses filled, and actually brought us extra water glasses. Food is actually okay. I can honestly say I have cravings for their food, at times. The service has always been good with my homegirl (I really don't know her, but I think her name is Kylee) at the side bar. She takes care of her area....everyone in her area. She remembered my drink after my first time here. She checks in as she's walking up and down the bar. She even stopped by today to say hey and see if I was drinking my usual drink. Today, the one time I sat at the main bar (because I came too early for the side bar), was a terrible experience! The bartender, Isabella (I think), paid absolutely NO ATTENTION to anyone in her section (the bar and the few tables right next to the bar) except this group of dudes. She sat on the cooler to be able to chat with them more comfortably. They got several rounds while I was there. I sat there attempting to make eye contact (and intentionally not calling out to her) to see how long it would take to get her attention. It was 18 min after I got my food before she even thought to look my way. All I wanted was a glass of water! The next time I was checked on...25 min after that! Another 20 before I got attention to ask for my check. While I want to make this a me thing, ALL other groups in her section looked pissed. They all had to ask for their checks and beg for any attention. Now look, I know I'm a minority in there (in several different categories), but damn. Lesson learned for me: Make sure to sit between anyone with a penis. Lesson for her: You never know who tips well. We were listening to a band and the manager cut us off from alcohol for no reason. They said we had 6 drinks and we were done. Ridiculous!

This place seems like a knock off of Hooters, yet their wings aren't as good. Everything in this places just feels cheap, except maybe a few of the drink prices. There are plenty of TVs for sport viewing, pool tables, and even a stage for bands. I can see why some may like the atmosphere as some of the girls working here have a lot hanging out for a good view, yet others are a little more modest in skin tight clothing. The food is nothing special and down right questionable at times. There doesn't seem to be a standard at all, as in depending on the day or night you'll have many different experiences here based on who is your server or bartender as well as who is cooking the food in the back. Food was terrible which is a shame because the atmosphere was great. I ordered naked wings in hot sauce with blue cheese and tater tots. The wings were tiny, the sauce was nonexistent, and the blue cheese was like colored water with a few chunks of cheese thrown in. The tots were fried to point there was no "tater" just deep fried crust. The waitress was only half engaged and had to be waived down on 2 separate occasions to get her attention. My son and I came to watch a football game. My wife dropped us off so she and my youngest could shop during the game. We ordered appetizer and dinner. I had beer, he had lemonade. After the 1st half they had a busboy come talk to me about driving home with children. I assured him that my son is old enough that I am an experienced parent and would NEVER EVER put my babies in harms way. I had my wife (completely sober) coming to pick us up. They denied my beer request. I was never "rowdy", I wasn't slurring my speech, and we were very courteous and polite. They obviously don't care about individuals and think they can just do whatever they want. With consumers not taking a stand they can, but you should think twice about this dump. I was recently out in Terre Haute for a diesel truck show. Looking for some lunch before getting started with the day's activities, we decided to check this place out. The place appears to be in a former warehouse, and the environment itself appears between that of a Hooters and that of a Rooster's. It had your normal grub for this type of establishment, wings, burgers, fried items, salads, you name it. There was also a full bar but we did not take advantage of it. The food itself was serviceable, not too bad actually. The waitresses were definitely something that I appreciated looking at hungry and hungover. All in all, this was a pretty solid pick. Word is that there is one of these in metro Cincinnati, and I will definitely have to check that location out. If I'm in Terre Haute in the future, I will definitely try to stop in again! read more

I'd go to ShowMes over Hooters or any other female-skimpy-clothing sports bar, every time. Best things ShowMes has is the wings, fries & beer. Throw in the TV's & projectors everywhere and you got a great place. Service does lack. But! As a person who has been here plenty of times you just gotta know how to handle it. 1) go in and make sure you order food or a drink right away. That way a waitress will be coming back in short order. 2) if you want a refill or need service, don't hesitate to raise your hand for a girl, or even visit them at their little expedite area. 3) plan for the worst, hope for the best. I've had painfully slow experiences (slow service, slow food), and I've had amazing experiences (top-notch service, quick food). Just depends on the day. Favorite place in town for Wings. Way better than BW3's, Hooters, Tilt-a-kilt, you name it. Their fries are some of the best too. My tip, go during the weekday@ lunch. $7.99 for 10wings & fries. And you can get a loyalty card. We were passing through town and saw this restaurant. It didn't take us long to decide we wanted to go here for dinner n drinks. We have not eaten at this Show Mes but there used to be one in our neighboring town of Carbondale. We have missed it! I highly recommend the chicken wing Rangoon. Our bartender Alexis was fantastic!! She made countless drinks while we ate and was able to keep up with the high demand of mixed drinks and had a nice conversation with us. Great food, great time. The girls are fun to hang with. I was actually pretty impressed with the beer selection. Sure the "locals" were mostly bottles but they did have a few Fountain Square beers on draft. Tayler, the bartender I chatted with was upbeat and easy to chat with.
