If you are willing to come in regularly you can find some gorgeous pieces of large classic "brown" tables, bureaus chairs and mirrors and occasionally a contemporary piece suitable for refinishing. Beautiful pieces come and go quickly. For example a tall corner bookcase in a birch finish with rounded walnut shelves and a lower cupboard was priced at $85 and did not last the day. Staff is kinda hostile and def not helpful or welcoming. They do not offer delivery or have recommendations for people whom you can hire, which adds significant cost to buying larger pieces and too much hassle for me.

The interior is quirky as the store is in a historic colonial home, but that made the shopping experience all the more unique and fun. The prices are very reasonable and there is a wide-range from designer to accessible, every day pieces. There are also clothes and accessories for men, children, pets, and the home. The staff were friendly and welcoming, but they also gave me the space to browse without feeling pressured to buy, which for me is a major plus. I spent about 45 minutes browsing and trying on items so I would suggest giving yourself time to really explore the entire store--as one reviewer noted there is a lot to see (but I did not think this was an issue--more treasures to find!). My haul from the Fashion Plate included a vintage Chanel necklace, Chanel cashmere gloves (odd buy in July but winter is coming--haha), Lanvin ballet flats, deadstock Gucci blooms purse, Chanel wedges (I ended up wearing these to the wedding), a Henri Bendel backpack, a cool painting, and a pair of Chanel cambon ballet flats. They only stock authentic items (they explained their rigorous authentication process) and I appreciate that commitment to not selling replica goods. There was so much more to tempt me! Cash only folks)... turns out going to Wilmington for syrup is a lot like going to Target for toothpaste. Who knew such a fashion mecca could exist on the outskirts of a forest? Seriously, the owner's buying game is on point. I think I walked into the dressing room with at least 40 items. None of which would be useful for a weekend of camping. But all of which were great brands, new or basically new, ridiculously cute and so reasonably priced. But don't worry. I also got my syrup. Let's hope I don't spill it on all my new fashion finds.

I love that proceeds from this shop benefits a hospice care facility and that they had a parking lot for patrons. On my visit they had some ugly Christmas sweaters, variety of jewelry pieces, and coats. Thy also had misc knick knacks, furnitures, children and men's items. Pricing for items seemed reasonable here. It's a cozy thrift shop and I think it's worth a visit depending on what you're looking for.

I found some nice items, an L.L. Bean fleece and Lands End jacket, both for $3 a piece for my little guy. There were lots of winter clothes AND spring clothes, which I fully appreciated after going to another store that was already selling only shorts (yes, it is March, but we had a foot of snow last week!). They also had a large variety of baby gear: strollers, co-sleepers, bouncy chairs, etc. I will definitely make the trip to Brattleboro again for this place. Loved it!

That sure would have been nice to know BEFORE I bought anything! I can't even donate these pants to the Salvation Army because THEY have a no stain policy. I will never shop here again.
