Called thw shop and there response was have it towed back here and you can add the tow charge to the bill. Umm no. So my mother was stuck for three hours trying to get a ride home and figure out with to do with the car. So in other words they ripped me for $1600. Don't EVER EVER EVER GO TO PATRIOT AUTO. I brought my vehicle in on a Tuesday for a test drive after my vehicle being to 4 other appointments for the same issue within a month. The test drive was completed and I was allowed to go with to point out specific noises it was making, we got back to the shop it was put on a lift and multiple technicians came to the same conclusion and were confident with a diagnosis. I was absolutely thrilled because this is the 5th time I've tried to have this issue diagnosed and I thought someone had finally figured it out. I scheduled an appointment to drop it off two days later and was told they could have it done within the day I scheduled. So I drop it off this morning and reminded them I would need to pick it up by end of day/after hours and could pay via phone if needed. I was given the impression it would be a quick repair and I would get a call with an estimate for other items I needed repaired. It was dropped off at 7:40am, I called for the first update around 1pm and was told it was being worked on. I called back around 3 and cannot get through (no biggie, they might be busy) so I called again at 3:30 and get a lady who tells me she will check with a tech and call me back. I received the call back to be told their diagnosis was incorrect and it would have to be looked at by a "retired technician". I asked if my other issues had been addressed and was given a run around and she would only bring up one other issue. So then I ask if they can call me next week and schedule to bring it back for the "retired tech" to look at it, she rudely tells me no and tells me to "just come get it they can't help me". Upon picking it up was provided no documentation of the appointment or if anything was actually looked at. I am in disbelief of the customer service from this place, I've never been treated like that when just trying to get clarity and work out a repair.

In doing so I have dealt with every kind of repair shop / service out there, the good, the bad and the ugly. Jonathan Weis at Jonathan's Automotive Repair is without a doubt and by far the best of the best. Jonathan's concern for the safety of travelers is evident and Oriental North Carolina is most fortunate to have access to this level of service and professionalism in automotive care. My wife and I were visiting Oriental when a mechanical issue developed with my truck. Fortunately for us we were only a block away from Jonathan's. I brought my truck to him and rode along with Jonathan on the drive to diagnose the issue. Jonathan was able to quickly and accurately diagnose the problem as being the front left wheel bearing / hub assembly. I requested that both the left and right assemblies be replaced to keep them in common service states, Jonathan was able to accommodate that request. In tearing down the front end hub assemblies it was observed that there were issues with the front brakes that should also be addressed. Jonathan provided photos and recommendations as to the proper repairs. I requested that the brake repairs be completed along with pinion seals in the front and rear differentials that had developed leaks. Jonathan was able to complete all requested repairs in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. The communication, workmanship and cost of service were top notch. I live over ten hours from Oriental, however when future repairs are needed for my or my wife's vehicles, if possible, I will certainly come back to enjoy Oriental's unique atmosphere and Jonathan's excellent automotive repair services. Insert Riverside Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of New Bern- We live in Beaufort, but were told to stay away from the closest Jeep dealership due to some shifty activity so we thought it was worth driving to New Bern to get the car looked at, after the engine light came on and it was revving really high. I made the appt, and went to drop off the car one evening since I could not make the next day's appointment. I caught Christine (insert the sound of angels singing here) as she was getting ready to close and told her about my drop off and what was going on. She didn't rush me, she went to the car and we talked about it, she assured me the tech would look at it and she would let me know the next day what the plan was, moving forward. I really did feel like she was being so kind, and so genuine, but I also thought that she probably wouldn't call and that I would have to guess or stalk them as to what happens next. Guess what!? She did! She called the next day and told me what was going on, and without this being even longer of a review, she moved mountains to get my issue taken care of under warranty, since it was still under warranty, but the dealership I got the car from may or may not be a little shifty themselves, so Christine dealt with them for me and helped move along the situation to get things remedied. Every step of my car being fixed, Christine was ON IT! She called and let me know what was being done, a time frame, and stuck to it! We picked up our car last night, and I gave this woman a hug. A woman whom I did not know until taking my car to her, honestly, because for the first time in my driving years, I felt taken care of, and that I was not going to be screwed around. I'm not sure what Christine's plans are moving forward, but Riverside needs to kiss the ground this lady walks on, and give her a raise, because I will be shouting it from the rooftops, that anyone within driving distance, who needs their car serviced from a Jeep Dodge Ram Chrysler dealership, needs to drive it on over to Riverside and ask for her!
