After charging me $1600.00 and he wanted to charge me 80$ to use my debit card so had to get a cashiers check. This was my mother picking it up cause I was out of state she's 73 years old. Drove it to Morehead to interstate battery cause he said it needed a new battery which they tested the battery and it had a full charge the car wouldn't start. Called thw shop and there response was have it towed back here and you can add the tow charge to the bill. Umm no. So my mother was stuck for three hours trying to get a ride home and figure out with to do with the car. So in other words they ripped me for $1600. Don't EVER EVER EVER GO TO PATRIOT AUTO. They even snuck in an emissions test when I did not need one, nor did I ask for one. I went in for an oil change, and tune up, it ran me $1250. I expected maybe $250, tops. I almost threw up when he told me the cost. Absolutely insane. Not knocking quality of work, I'd assume that's okay although I don't feel a difference in how it drives. I will always believe that all mechanics are absolute crooks and I wouldn't recommend a single one to anybody. I'd recommend getting a new car, change oil regularly and avoid mechanics at all cost. This place was no different. Appalled at my $1250 bill.

I would make an appointment and was always taken care of right away. Last week I made an appointment because my car was having issues. Was told I could not take my car there in person because my company is under quarantine. Called Paul he immediately said he would be glad to pick it up. Gave him a list of things to be done including detailing. Paul delivered my car yesterday, and it looks brand new, and runs like a top. He kept me updated every day as to what he found and what should be taken care of. He will go out of his way to accommodate you. I recommend Paul and his staff highly. We purchased a new car from Tommie Jones today!…read more Hands down, the BEST experience ever as far as buying a new car! From beginning to the end, we did not have one complaint. Tommie was friendly right from the beginning, and took the time to really listen to our situation upon meeting us. He listened to what our financial goals were, and took the time to show us what he thought would work best for us. Not once was I made to feel like I was a "hassle". (The feeling I got from the dealership I almost purchased from). There was absolutely NO pressure while looking at different models, no "back and forth", (I like to keep things simple, and to the point!) and after the numbers where finalized, the paperwork took less than an hour. Again, the numbers were fantastic as far as pricing goes! Tommie saved us almost $10k when it was all said and done. I know he probably saved us more than that really. Again, I almost purchase from another dealership, and am so grateful that we didn't. I can now say, for the first time ever, I didn't feel like I was just another commission check to someone on the lot. I will be buying all my future vehicles from Tommie. I would like to add that the dealership was referred to me from my parents too. They were also so impressed by Tommie's efficiency, professionalism and friendliness, that they are now contemplating upgrading their 2017 Hyundai, to a 2021. Thanks again Tommie!

I dropped two cars off for North Carolina inspections so we could get them registered here. That went fine until I later found out an inspection was NOT needed for the first year. Ok, that was only $14 each, but it surprised me they didn't mention it or didn't know that was the rule in NC. Today I picked up a car after an oil change and new tires. They had again inspected the car and charged me the $14 fee. I hadn't asked for the inspection. It wasn't due. I am selling the car out of state, so didn't need it for the renewal. Weird. Minor irritation, but still. Strike two. When removing the wheels several lugs broke, they were proactive to find the parts and make the repair but never called to tell me about the new work and new expense. Communication is key, and they certainly need to work on that. A review of the invoice before paying would also be a nice touch to communicate what was done and then any discussion could take place then and not AFTER I get home and GET IRRITATED!

I dealt with this personally when they towed a white Crown Victoria. I was a licensed dealer, had the title and proper reassignment paperwork, and they still refused to release the car. That's either gross incompetence when it comes to dealer titles or a deliberate attempt to squeeze more money out of people. I should have reported this to DMV enforcement. Now they're doing the same thing to someone else. A friend of mine was in a serious accident, and they won't even allow his wife to access the truck to retrieve personal belongings. Even worse, they're refusing to release the vehicle to anyone other than the registered owner, claiming "only he can pay for it because that's the law." That is flat-out false. You've made an enemy out of me. Your business model appears to be taking advantage of people when they're at their lowest. Predatory, dishonest, and unethical. I hope you had fun offloading that blown up Crown Vic especially considering it was registered to the South Carolina Police in your eyes hahah.
