I am attending a wedding in November and planned on just wearing my old prom dress. From the moment I entered the store I was amazed at how beautiful all the gowns were! Yelitza immediately greeted me and went above and beyond helping me find beautiful options to wear. She was so kind and caring and really knew her stuff!!!!!! She assisted me with trying on 4 different dresses and I ended up going with the very first dress I tried on! It's funny because when I walked in the store she happen to have it in her hands putting it away! I instantly said hey that dress is beautiful and it happen to be my size and everything!!!! She even took photos of me in each gown so I could compare and contrast! Yelitza made my shopping experience extremely rewarding and fun! My mom and I came here looking for a mother of bride dress. We attempted to make an appointment but their recording said you didn't need one. When we arrived it was utter madness. We had no idea a prom trunk show was going on. The smell when we walked in should have been an indication things would be bad. It was like being punched in the face with cockroach spray. People were everywhere wondering around. Racks upon racks of dresses in large plastic bags in every square inch of the store. After a few minutes an employee came over, gave a a rolling rack and told us to help ourselves. We were instructed to start digging through the racks and place whatever we wanted on our personal rack to try on. Things were organized by color but not by nice. It was impossible to find anything or even see what the dresses looked like since they were all in bug bulky bags. It was worse than Marshall's on Black Friday. This was not the type of experience I'd hope to have with my mom for such a special day. We left without trying anything on.

Two days before the wedding, a friend suggested an alternation that would transform it into the perfect gown but I knew it was too late. I called every tailor I knew but no one was willing to help. With 24 hours to go, Abby returned my call. She opened her shop and within an hour, had the alterations done. She could have charged me anything but only charged for the hour's work! Let's drive 45 minutes each way and come on a Saturday when places like this will of course be "deserted". Sounds Great! About as much fun as watching a Jaws IV marathon. A few random notes: * The Yelp listing I assume is old and says that masks are mandatory and that the staff will be wearing them. Neither of the above is true. One member of the staff was wearing one and none of the patrons had one on. * The store has two entrances - one on either side of the building. You enter one side for the prom stuff and the other side for the wedding stuff. * Wedding stuff of course requires an appointment. They keep their thick old school book on the counter and it is indeed packed. For prom wear you show up and the next available staff member assists you while they are also assisting other people at the same time. * My daughter was interested in a dress that their website lists as in stock with them. Nay-nay on this. The staff member who assisted us said that they didn't have that dress but dresses by that designer which is what that means. The website does not real time availability. If you really need a particular piece, either call before you come or buy it elsewhere. With that said, the trip was a success. While the dress she wanted was never stocked here at any time (per the staff member who assisted us), she did find something similar that worked and it was a little cheaper then what she initially wanted so score for me since stuff here is not cheap by any means. Ideally coming during the week I think would yield the best results with being able to browse and try things on without people being everywhere. Door to door the process took about 70 minutes which I guess isn't bad although next time I'll stick with the Jaws IV marathon as it might be less painful.

I ordered a size 8 and after weeks of waiting for it to arrive, I was excited to try it on. Sure enough, the size they gave me was a size 12. It wouldn't even stay on. They apologized and said they'd order me the correct size right away. Finally, about 3 WEEKS before my wedding, the dress arrived. IT WAS A SIZE 6. i couldn't even breathe and it felt very unflattering. They told me I could get it taken out, but that I had to contact the seamstress myself from their list. The seamstress I saw was great, but had a very hard time taking the dress out enough. In order to make the dress fit me, several seams had to be broken and it compromised the integrity of the gown so it didn't look great. I was very displeased with the mistakes The Country Bride and Gent made and the lack of accountability and support after they left me in a difficult position.
