Be very careful of the protection plans sold through Ashley. They are a scam. I spent almost $500 for the protection plan for our bedroom suite. I called to file a claim and the damage is not covered. When we purchased the furniture and the protection plan our sales associate, Jayla Collison, told us that if anything happened for 5 years we'd be covered. Lesson learned and reinforcement that all these warranty plans are nothing but scams that increase the profit to the company and commissions to the sales person. read more

TLDR: The store has no interest in customer satisfaction nor do they have processes in place for service recovery. If you buy something here and you have an issue with the delivery or product, know up front you will be on your own. Neither the store's management nor the organization will be willing to help you or find a way to retain you as a future customer. Once your money is in their hands, all bets are off. I have shopped at Ashley HomeStore in the past and have generally been happy with the products and services offered. I entered into my recent purchase with a similar expectation and our initial store visit was pleasant. Our delivery was scheduled early (and given COVID-19 and supply chain issues, we were thrilled). The day prior we received notification of our delivery window between 3PM and 7PM. About 5PM the day of we received notification that the truck was ten minutes away. We were home and ready but no one showed. After the delivery window, we called the customer service department whose answering message stated they were closed for the day (only having hours between 10AM and 5PM). We called the store immediately only to find they were unable to do anything except email other people in the organization to inform them of what happened. A customer service agent called the next day to apologize but state that they had in fact gone to our house and no one answered. After being accused it was my error, they sent photos of the home the delivery team documented as proof which clearly showed they were at the wrong house. The delivery team showed little interest in critical thinking or actually delivering our furniture and instead displayed a high level of laziness and incompetence. All of the homes in our development are marked with addresses on the mailbox and garage door. Instead of confirming they were at the right place or calling the phone number attached to our order, they ignored the markings, took pictures of the wrong house as "proof they were here" and proceeded to go home. It must be nice to care this little about your job. The second delivery date was scheduled for a week later. After arriving, the crew quickly noted that they did not have the other pieces I was describing and they were not even listed on their delivery paperwork. This is a second delivery that now has an issue. I accepted delivery of the two items and will need to wait for a third delivery to hopefully receive my order in full. After your sale, the store staff and management become disinterested in you because they already have your business. I found my interactions with various members of the management team to be rude with nothing but "I'm sorry" offered as consolation. Everyone in this organization passes the buck. No one owns up or takes any initiative in service recovery. Good luck and buyer beware. This store and organization is not what it used to be. I look forward to (maybe) receiving my furniture (that is already paid for) and never returning to Ashely Furniture again. read more

I have been trying to see a power recliner at the Windgap location. Today was my fourth trip, and I finally got to see it. After my second trip, I received a call from "Linda" who told me there was one on display, and that it was $809.00. I calculated that was their listed price ($1,009) which was 20% off called. I went there a third time, and was told she wouldn't be in till later that day, so I had to leave. Finally, today I went in, and although Linda wasn't in, someone located the chair and I liked it. But then, they had a price on it of over $3,000.00! I told the salesman and he said he see if they had any in stock. He said they did, and the person that was writing up an order, had about $3,400 on the screen. She told me that didn't include the discount, and it came down to about $1,400 plus... I let her hear the voice message Linda left me, and she said "oh no, that's wrong!" I walked out, then I stuck my head back in the door and told her it's still on their site for a grand. Then I came home and decided to complain. I called the store, and as told to call "guest services" which I did. Guest services told me I needed to call the store (that tried to screw me to begin with) and ask for a manager. I did that and a guy that answered said he would have the manager call me back and wanted my name and number. I asked what the managers name was, and said I'm not giving any info till I find out the name of who's going to call! He said, "sir, this conversation is over" and hung up. I recommend bog box stores, Lazy Boy, Raymor & Flanagan or ANY OTHER STORE than Ashley. I'll close by saying, till today I was a customer. Not a big one, but over the years, I've spent thousands of dollars at this location. And at least a third of the time, I've gotten attitude from their staff. This was the first and the last time I bought something from Ashley. We chose 2 bedside tables and decided to pick them up in the store. My husband brought them home today. He didn't open the boxes at the store and didn't check if everything was in order. They gave him a paper to sign that says: "I understand that it is my sole responsibility to open and inspect merchandise to ensure that it is in satisfactory condition Prior loading it on my vehicle...." My husband just signed the paper. His English is limited and he is very busy with his work. Do you know any other stores who would give you such notes to sign? I don't... When we installed the bedside table, one of the drawers was cracked. I called the store located 487 E Moorestown Rd, in Wind Gap, PA 18091. I asked what can be done because of the cracked drawer. It cost me $248 each. The nice lady immediately re- read the same instructions and said "it could be cracked during the transportation... you are responsible now because you signed Pickup Bill of Lading". What a scam! The back support has blown out. It broke a few weeks ago but no one seems to care to get in contact with us. Absolutely unacceptable. Aside from the couch issue our customer service with you has been all around horrible. You falsely advertised that upon purchase we would be called to schedule a delivery. That never happened. Instead our $2000 furniture order arrived piece by piece over a month time. We had to sleep with the mattress on the floor for almost a month due to the fact you first only sent the bed slats. Than sent the head and foot board but we had to wait 2 more weeks to get the final pieces to put the frame together due to you not being clear that the main bed piece was on back order. For a $900 bed frame I find this unacceptable. Than when we call and ask how are you going to fix this your customer service rep told us to call ups or fedex ourselves and hung up. Which is hilarious because I have screenshots of you advertising "if your order is incorrect or incomplete let us know and we'll make it right." I have yet to see you "make it right." From here on out I will never recommend this store or company to another person and I will take my business to big lots and other various stores. read more

Don't shop from here!! I used the Wind Gap store in Pa and I had 2 delivery drivers that didn't speak english and a translator that spoke broken english on a phone, drop off a new mattress. They didn't unwrap it and tried to not take the old mattress they were supposed to take. They finally left, I started to unwrap it to find a big rip in the bottom hidden under the grey slip that was supposed to protect the edges. Called Ashley service immediately, was told there was no manager but he would call later. Plus I had sent him 2 pictures of the damage where he said yikes, we'll get this figured out. It's the next day and I still haven't heard from him. We've called the store that said it was escalated but couldn't tell us anything else, we called corporate that said they didn't see the damage in the photos, and are currently waiting again after 6 phone calls last night, 3 emails, and 2 more this morning and still have no clue what's going on. My husband and I had to resort to sleeping on the couch with both us having extreme back problems and not knowing what to do with the mattress. Worst experience I've ever had and I was soo looking forward to a good night sleep. I pray to God they resolve this quickly, I'm sick and tired of getting screwed over. Now tell me this isn't damaged. Run as fast as you can. Update: they finally called me back said they can't deliver a new mattress until wednesday, it's Saturday, and there's nothing else they can do. I'm so upset and pissed off. This isn't fair and i don't know what to do until Wednesday. They said they're just going off my word because according to the suvery, i didn't take, i had an excellent experience. I can assure you this is not a typo. 44 weeks. Not 4 weeks, or even 14. Certainly not 24 either. 44 weeks. For two accent chairs. I'll try to be brief. Placed an order at the Ashley Wind Gap store on 7/8/20 for said pair of accent chairs. Receipt says 2-6 weeks; we were told at purchase 2-8 weeks. Labor Day weekend we're in the area, decide to stop in and check on the order. Manager is very kind, and apologizes and tells us to expect them in November. Wait...what? If so, that puts them in the fourth month. Woman next to manager tell us "You know there's a pandemic, don't you?" Thank you, kind woman. Yes, we were aware. But appreciate the snarky reminder, as if she was a CNN anchor and breaking news to the world. Told to call their customer service number 301 782 3802 to get better updates. TIP: DON'T call this number unless you're a practicing masochist. Sept, Oct comes and goes. No chairs. Side note: No one in corporate cares either. Repeated email to the "powers that be" go unreturned. I did connect with a regional manager, who is easily found on social media, and had a text exchange with him/her. In a nutshell, we connected when my order was at 22 weeks. My point, besides wanting my flipping chairs, was why were other customers who bought furniture AFTER July 8th, receiving their orders? Why is my order on their 'Pay No Mind List?' Did I not spend enough? No answer. Nov-Feb - nothing. Hang in there with me. Here's the good stuff. Mon 3/15 - "arriving today" - "will call you back today or early tomorrow to confirm delivery." Yay! Wed 3/17 (no call as promised the last two days.) So I call. Now they are showing May sometime. So I say wait - I was told just two days ago that they were arriving today (mon) and now all of a sudden its 8 more weeks? Agent didn't know a thing. Asked for supervisor - on hold for five minutes, and agent came back on, apologized, and said supervisor couldn't take call - but "chairs would be in on Sat March 20th." I ask, why? Just five min ago, it was going to be 8 weeks? She said they are going to pull two from the warehouse and have them ready for delivery on the 20th. I asked why that couldn't have been done months ago, but she had no answer. (I know she is lying, but at this point of the 44 weeks, it's comical. I said I was told months ago that they cannot pull from other warehouses or other orders, but she is committed to the lie.) "Will call on Sat 3/20 to schedule del." You guessed it. No call on 3/20. Hear me now and believe me later. Their customer service agents are liars, or are told to lie to customers. Prove me wrong. Tues 3/23 - "estimated this week - even today. Probable arrive today, tomorrow at the latest. Will call back soon with confirmation That's right...no call for remainder of the week. Late March, more BS. Ask for supervisor again, but they have Kay, manager in Wind Gap, call me. Kay is empathetic, and pleasant to speak with. Kay doesn't believe I was being lied to (ummmm, ok.) She had no answer to why I was told definitively they were being delivered on 3/20. I call 4/12, and Kay tells me she can't tell me much because her system is limited But she did offer that the delay may be due to "they're smaller items, and not a priority on production line." Is my cash not important enough? Most of April goes by, but then get this nugget: Tues 4/27 - "Rachel" - "expected to be at warehouse today. Maybe within next 72 hours I'll get call to schedule delivery. " Not holding my breath, there Rachel. Monday 5/3, I connect with the regional manager, but only because of a favor I called in through an acquaintance. He or she says this "should have been on their desk weeks ago," and that I will have my chairs on Wed 5/12 (which I did.) Ok, so at 22 weeks the same RM didn't give a rip. But at 44 weeks apparently they do. At what point does the RM care? Is it six months? Wish I could answer that. If it weren't for the fact that the chairs fit my project, I would have canceled in October. Thanks for reading. Lesson learned. Stay away. read more

Went in on Friday to look at furniture we needed for a recent move from Florida. George quickly greeted us and offered assistance. We just wanted to browse and he was respectful of our request. He checked in from time to time to see if we had questions which we did. We needed to measure some room sizes so we told him we would be back the next day. No high pressure sales at all. We returned the next day and George helped us make all of our selections, making sure we got good numbers since everything was on sale and got us to the check out. Furious with Ashley furniture and the bogus warranty they want to try to sell you. Purchased a rocker recliner from Ashley a year and three months ago accidentally got an inch and a half tear in the arm from my key ring on my pants. I filed a warranty with GBS enterprise the third-party company they use. GBS enterprise will not respond to emails phone calls online claims etc. I have been waiting over two months without a response. Ashley furniture wants to do nothing with the warranty company or reconciling the problem or even giving a refund for my warrantee money I paid to them. Was not thrilled with my last visit. I stopped in to look at sofas and sectionals only to browse the store for 45 minutes and was not helped at all, meanwhile other folks were immediately greeted at the door and taken care of. A sales rep finally wandered over to me and asked if she could help. I explained I was looking for sofas and sectionals. She didn't offer to actually show me anything but proceeded to try to sell me home accessories and paintings. As I walked near the front a number of employees were lounging and chatting away and no one even looked up at me. I went down the road and an hour later spent $1,000 cash at Unclaimed Freight instead where I was promptly helped and given a great deal on an Ashley Brand chaise sofa and recliner for my living room. read more

Were told maximum 12 weeks that was August 8th 2020. I understand COVID 19, but should have been told that up front. Honesty is always the best policy. Could of had furniture by now from other places. I have a call into their headquarters for a full refund very disappointed and will never buy from this store ever again nor will anyone I know. No one can believe how long it has been, but they took the money so fast and they do not care about their customers. Avoid this store at all costs! It's the shame the one in Wilkes-Barre was closed due the tornado damage. Sales and deals vary upon how prejudice the saleswoman is (I can say that for a fact because I visited the day before with a friend and was offered a discount whereas I did not with my father). They are all saleswomen in there who act like high school teenagers that gossip about one another; I instantly thought of The View talkshow cast as soon as I walked in. The lights are extremely dimmed on purpose where you can hardly see an item's true color and design. Don't fall for their psychological tricks! Linda was our saleswoman and she was absolutely disrespectful to my 65-year-old father who couldn't clearly hear her as she spoke too swiftly. She had the nerve to spell out the color of our selected sofa with disgusting rhetoric as if he couldn't spell it on his own. My father is a foreigner who doesn't have a strong accent and does indeed understand English--especially when he was conversing with the other representatives without any issues. I'm not sure what Linda's issue was... whether she was prejudice, racist, or impatient while we were trying to do business. Subsequently, I've decided to no longer make the purchase and proceeded by leaving due to her condescending remarks. Linda continued by whispering to her co-workers--including a woman named Evelyn who began to chuckle on our way out. These saleswomen are unprofessional and lack proper communication skills. I've shopped at this Ashley's funiture a few times and I'm never disappointed . I love the different styles and themed rooms the store displays. Since this location is so huge you are bound to find something to your liking.They have really great sales during the holidays/clear out seasons. I've never experienced any bad vibes from the staff at this location. The sales people are visable when you need them and dont stalk you through the store. Theres a good balance of help and space. Ken the manager is a friendly cool dude, helps out whenever he can and I leave the store happy everytime ! read more
