    gnocchi
    Annalee W.

I'm coming back now to update my review of this restaurant because my previous review was so terrible and I always like to give restaurants a second chance- especially if their places that are closing convenient and serve food that is easy to satisfy in laws with simpler tastes. I'm really not that person who complains all the time I leave a lot of positive reviews too ... but if someone who was a lifelong server and bartender, sometimes you have experiences that are just ... almost indescribable. like ur being punked on a reality tv show. The last time we came we were so disappointed with the quality of food. The gnocchi was soft mush and the vodka sauce had no flavor. my friend said the Gorgonzola sauce barely tasted like Gorgonzola. the fried raviolis were ok. THIS TIME the burrata "spread" they had as an app was tasteless. No olive oil, no basil.... just white mush. No salt nothin. the toast points that came with it were covered in salt and heavy pepper- like table pepper. They were so thin and crunchy that u couldn't put anything on them bc they fell apart. The "bread service" consists of getting 1 bowl of 4 rolls with those mini packages of butter. It cost like 15$.... and by the time we got the second one- we were done eating. the kids spaghetti comes with 2 heinously large meatballs and hardly any spaghetti. The calamari was----- ok. the penne ala vodka and nice again had no flavor and the pasta was gummy. This place had great desserts- that seem genuinely homemade - they are always good. The tiramisu genuinely feels like it didn't come from a store and was baked fresh and so did the pistachio cream cake. The second time I went, they had a bread pudding that was equally delicious. The cocktails are always great as well however the old-fashioned with the marshmallow in it get third table side with a torch, and the very nice server was blowing embers onto my partner, and we were legitimately afraid someone's hair was gonna catch on fire . Just kind of weird because it doesn't seem consistent with the type of place that would serve fancy cocktails like this. The timing and pacing between meals was so incredibly long. I mean we were there for over two hours. Also had to wait forever to get our check. There was just no sense of urgency at this place. As far as the outside seating goes, they have a really really really really badly problem. Other tables were having a problem too, and luckily, we were eating right as the sun went down and they cleared out but for the first hour we were there. It was genuinely miserable. They also have no fans outside..... so not really the best setup for such a great location they would kill it at brunch, but they don't do brunch. It should also be noted that they do not have some of the basic things that you would expect a place like this to have that makes it so convenient to bring hard to please family from out of town to. There's no chicken Parmesan... no mussels... and yet they have a German Wienerschnitzel ‍ They don't have any good salad salads they don't have any soups ... It genuinely feels like they are trying to be something that they just aren't. Carrabba's would've been a much better option. Really unfortunate because I've now given this place multiple tries again because it is so darn convenient to me and I have a father-in-law who will only eat Italian food, but this just wasn't anything but disappointing both times I came. But if you're looking for a place with delicious desserts, I guess go here .

Heard many good things and few not so good. It's a nice location and the restaurant is big inside with a large sit down bar. They have many 2 person tables which is ok but they are small so several dishes on the table and you're juggling everything. We opted to sit on the patio and that worked out well. The hostess's are very friendly and helpful moving us around until we found our outside table. Service is good and the menu is not huge but you should find something you like. The meatball appetizer was really done well and the Caesar salad was a salad nothing special. We were told the pasta was homemade and fresh but after we ordered it was delivered within 10 minutes and I question the validity of home made but I could be wrong. Drink menu was good as well so no issues there. We skipped dessert as usual so I have no ideas to offer.

I was anxious to try a new restaurant in the area. They might have the biggest bar I have seen anywhere, and at the time we arrived there was nobody there. The hostess seated us for our reservation and the server promptly greeted us and explained the menu. One side of the menu is drinks and the other are the food items. The server told us the history of the chef and that they make pasta fresh every day. I ordered the lavender lemon drop martini which I learned to love on cruise ships. Our drinks came promptly and the 4 of us were a bit surprised how small they were. My drink was pretty much all lavender with little lemon, so not as good as I anticipated. There is no bread service, but you can purchase 4 rolls for $5. At least they were warm and good. The menu has a variety of appetizers, salads, pasta and protein entrees. My husband and I shared the ravioli appetizer, which was fried raviolis served with sauce. They arrived warm and looked great. They were too fried for my liking as all I could taste was fried, and not the ingredients. For my entree, I chose the lasagna. Again, arrived promptly, but well enough after our appetizers so we didn't feel rushed. The portion was fine for me as I am not a big eater, but would have been small for my husband. The sauce is good as were the cheeses, but I missed having some protein, whether it be sausage or beef. I probably wouldn't order it again as it was just soft noodles and cheese with sauce. Service was wonderful our entire meal. Although the atmosphere is nice, with sparkling lights, the acoustics are horrible so it's very loud and was hard for the 4 of us to hear each other.

Atmosphere - I had an early dinner with friends at the restaurant on a weeknight. Although it was less than 1/2 full, it was so crazy loud that we struggled to have any kind of conversation. Service - our server was very good. She was very attentive. Food - I split as an appetizer the Ravioli In Carrozza, which is described on the menu as a breaded deep fried ravioli filled with ricotta and marinara dipping sauce. In reality, the ravioli was so thin that there was barely any ricotta. It was just breaded pasta that was so deep fried that it could barely be cut with a knife. My entree was the Penne Alla Vodka to which I had some grilled chicken added. The Vodka sauce was on the bland side. Overall Value - The prices are extremely reasonable as is the portion size. The food quality is more on par with an Italian chain restaurant.

Perfect date location if you're looking for Italian cuisine. The food is excellent and the servers are very knowledgeable about the food. The menu sections the food in appetizer/primi/secondi and they'll even recommend you pairings. The chef is very passionate about the food and it feels authentic

Tutto Tavola is a newly opened Italian spot in the Riverview/Brandon area, and I so wanted to love it. The space itself is pretty nice, and I genuinely wish this restaurant success ~ especially since the previous spot, DATZ, wasn't great. Unfortunately, the service was very slow throughout the entire visit. It took a long time to get drinks, then a long time just to place our order. When the food finally arrived, a clean large fork that was already on the table was taken by the server (because it was accidentally dropped while clearing the table) and not replaced. I had to wave someone down to ask for a fork and was brought a small appetizer/dessert fork instead. By the time our server, Jordan, checked in and I asked again for a regular fork, I was almost finished with my meal. As for the food (fried ravioli, scampi pasta and lamb shank with mashed potatoes) ~ it didn't really impress us. Drinks were okay. I'd rate it about a 3 out of 5 ~ average overall, and not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. I wish Tutto Tavola the best and hope they continue to improve, but between the slow service and average food, I probably won't be returning.

Great experience at Tutto Tavola this last week. They are technically in the or soft opening and have not done a full grand open yet. But everything went very well! They are a casual modern style Italian concept, focusing on regional Italian cuisine. The drinks were delicious, including the Nutella martini and the gingerbread old fashioned! They also have a variety of spritzs. For apps we did the Mussels, which were great but the only thing missing was some bread or a little something to dip in the sauce. They do offer bread service for $5 but I felt like 2 toasted pieces could have been included. Entrees we did the eggplant Parmesan and the lasagna. The lasagna was good but overly cheesy I think it needed more sauce and meat. Eggplant parm was good! Finally dessert was Tiramisu, which was delicious! They do say they source from a local bakery but it was amazing. Service was so friendly and personable too!! I believe our server was Kristie? I will come back soon!

First time here and the staff was friendly and the ambiance was nice. They don't have happy hour yet, and it sounds like they may not be planning to offer one based on what the bartender said. I ordered the ravioli appetizer and it was really good.

Food was SOOOO good. We had mozzarella sticks, bread service, penne, and lasagna. Our server was AMAZING. We loved him! The ambiance was very cool- low lighting with string lights. Highly recommend!

First time here. We were greeted at the door. They held the door open for the whole party. Servers and hostess were super friendly and super helpful. We started off with the calamari and bruschetta. The calamari was lightly battered and not tough at all very nice flavor, marinara dip, dipping sauce could've used a little salt in it. The bruschetta was nice, but the toppings could also have used some salt. For a main dish I had the TAGLIATELLE BOLZANO. It was kind of like a beef stroganoff with blue cheese in it. Noodles were slightly tough meat was a little overcooked, but the dish had nice flavor. We also got the eggplant Parmesan that was probably the best main dish for dessert. We had tiramisu and pistachio pie. Both delicious probably the best part of the meal. The place has possibilities to be very good, but there's much work to be done, especially on the seasoning side of food.

This restaurant has been open for over 2 months and you still need a reservation to get in most nights. The food is incredibly delicious as well as being reasonably priced. The portions are good. The staff is very enthusiastic. Shout out to Mark. The atmosphere is great for a casual or romantic dinner night and I suspect I'll be a frequent face at the bar. Brandon's food scene just got interesting

Similarly, I don't love Italian food, but I also feel like a good dining experience near Sun City Center is sorely lacking. So my family and I were happy to try Mandola's! It has exceeded our expectations. I was able to get one of the best Caesar salads I have ever eaten. (Note, the chilled plate is a sign of a restaurant noticing the small things.) And the service is speedy, with the complimentary focaccia and oil hitting my table almost as soon as we were seated. ATTENTION: Don't be like me. The first time I visited, I was like, "I'm not paying 18%-20%-25% to grab drinks from a cooler, submit my own order, and grab my own utensils." But they really do bus the table, or grab anything you need from the dining/kitchen for you, if asked. Thanks for being clean, efficient, and most importantly, so friendly!

Good food, immersive environment, smooth jazz-yes, this was worth growing up for. Joia is comfy and casual enough for the family-but also sleek and sophisticated enough for date night or girls night out. It has a roomy bar area to the left when you come in, with extra high tops. I almost sat there-but since it was my first visit, I opted for the dining room-which is actually several different areas, making the space even more inviting and sort of intimate. I'm clearly crushing on the vibe of this place... and the food lives up to the atmosphere. The complimentary bread is so tasty you don't even need the oil and spices that come with it, but they're tasty, too. I came hungry and ordered the fried cheese as an app. It's excellent... pillowy bites with soft, super shredded cheese on top (like snow). Ohhhh, so good. Now, I'll admit, I was full after this. But Joia has been on my list for *years... and I didn't want to risk not getting the chicken piccata. Ohhhh, I'm so glad I did! It comes with mushrooms and spaghetti with the same lemon sauce. So, so good. My server Sheila was excellent-so friendly and easy to talk to. She made me feel like a regular-and knows the menu inside out. They have a 2-for-1 martini special, Tuesday-Friday, 4-7. Parking is plentiful (Joia is in a shopping plaza, at 301 and Gibsonton) and there's covered patio seating. The live music was so smooth and just the right volume. Honestly, I can't wait to go back.
