I went yesterday around 5:00 PM, and the line was nearly out the door. When I got to the hostess stand, I decided to order takeout. When I tried to order online through their website beforehand, the estimated wait was nearly 2.5 hours. However, when I placed my order in person, the total wait was only 15 minutes! I picked up my order of ziti with sausage and truffle sauce, and it was some of the best pasta I've ever had. I also ordered a side of garlic bread with pepperoni spread--that unique combination was absolute magic and totally addictive! Everything was packaged nicely, hot, and fresh, making for a very memorable meal. I will definitely be back for takeout again soon!

The positives: The person who answered the phone was pleasant and the wait time for pickup on a…read moreWednesday at 7p was only 15-20 minutes. The food was ready in time and hot when we got home (about a 10 minute drive). Everything was packaged well, they offer to go alcohol, and the service getting in and out was quick. There is ample parking next to the building in the lot and on the street. Quality/price: We placed a takeout order for the chicken Parmesan, rigatoni alla vodka and a half bottle of the red blend wine. The meals also came with four small pieces of Italian bread. I saw the pricing, but having never been here thought maybe the portions and quality justified the cost. My order was good, but not exceptional and I didn't feel the portion was anything generous that would justify the cost of $18, especially given it is a meatless meal (they charge extra to add things in, which I didn't opt for). VERY overpriced imo. My husband got the chicken parm and was not very impressed. There were a few bad spots in the chicken cutlet he had to cut out, and said he's had much better chicken parm at some of the other local Italian spots. It was ok, just not exceptional and the small portion did not justify the cost. I wasn't really sure what to expect with the wine, but gave it a try. The bottle was smaller than I thought it would be (375 ml/12.7 oz) for $16. I asked over the phone what it was exactly and she said it was a red blend. It's mediocre overpriced red table wine. If you like wine, I would recommend skipping it. I wish take out counters would stop forcing tipping. The lowest suggested on the receipt was another $8+. Before tip, the total was $55.44. With tip the check was over $60 for the three items we ordered + the complementary bread. This felt like a fast casual experience at sit down pricing. I'm glad we gave them a try, but seems very overpriced for what you get, especially given there are so many other fantastic places to get pasta in the area that are much more generous and well worth the cost. Unfortunately we won't be returning.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The pizza was exceptional. There were 5 of us so we shared a sweet sausage peppers onions and mushroom pie. Do try! I had the big bowl of mussels made with butter garlic and lemon. Delish. One woman had the burger which was perfectly cooked. But the best part was the side of fries. Shoe string perfectly salted. OMG! See photos The wait service was wonderful. So friendly. So cheerful. Our only comment is that it's a bit tight seating. Otherwise great experience. MAKE RESERVATIONS!!

We chatted with a couple of store owners, and they all recommended Riverview as the place to eat. We had already made reservations there weeks before. We loved the town and enjoyed the afternoon; we highly recommend spending a sunny summer or fall day there. Now about the restaurant. We were given a very good table in a private corner so that we could talk freely without disruption. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We never felt rushed. The ambiance is not the feature here, but there are nice river views and outdoor dining. We sat inside. The food was very good, even if not what I consider haute cuisine. For the first course, I had the watermelon and feta salad; it was nice and refreshing, even if the watermelon was a bit old. For the main course, I had a pork chop with a potato croquette, and my wife had the fish. We both enjoyed our dinners. We finished with two desserts: bread pudding and a Peach melba. Overall, I recommend the Riverview and will probably be back the next time we visit. If you do stop in, say hello to the bartender, Shauan-Michel.

The sun-dried tomato ricotta ravioli were both "piquant" and "bangin."…read more The ravioli were rolled out, cut, filled, and sealed right in front of me. The pillowy little pockets didn't even need sauce (I ate one plain like a toddler). Nothing against the sauce: it's a celebration of the tomato, bright and smooth. I also got to watch the master (Bivona) at work. It was like what I imagine witnessing the efforts of a Renaissance sculptor to be like. It was also fun and educational watching him guide customers and give them a tour of the day's pasta shapes. For me, one of the best marks of quality is when you can look at the pasta and see the texture. You know that means your sauce is going to cover all that surface area, that will adhere brilliantly to your noods. The Cannookie (chocolate chip cookies sandwiching cannoli cream) was way more delicious than it had any right to be. I'm not going to ever have one again on principle because it sounds like a racial slur for Canadians, but that doesn't change the fact that it was outstanding. The meatballs, were all beef, I think, so it's pretty impressive how light and tender they were--beefy too.
