Somehow reviewing Tuttle Orchard has fallen through the cracks over the years. This was probably my fourth or fifth visit and I never leave empty handed. Bring on the ugly peanut pumpkins and bags filled with UPick apples! I can't get enough of this sort of thing. Oh, they also offer UPick pumpkins, FYI. Tuttles offers the full farm experience: hay rides, Pygmy goats, pumpkins, fall decor of mums and corn stalks, apples, apple cider slushies and doughnuts, bee hive exhibit, corn maze and so on and so on. You could keep the kiddos entertained for a half day here. My only complaint is that the prices can run on the steep side. During our recent visit, the farm was filled with school groups and busses. As someone who grew up on a farm it makes me extra happy to see city kiddos experiencing the rural lifestyle. read more

Efficiency is my favorite thing ever. Tuttle Orchards? Super efficient! We visited on a Saturday afternoon, when there were so many people that I thought maybe we had come on a day when they were giving things away for free. Nope -- I guess they just get really busy on Saturdays. So my heart sank when I saw the line just to get tickets to visit the children's play area. But I waited about three minutes! And they accept credit cards. The same thing happened when waiting for food: super long lines, but not a long wait. The people who work here really try hard to get everyone in and out quickly. These kinds of things really make this gal happy. It means I can just relax and have a good time. And we did have a good time! We mainly stuck to the children's area because there is just so many fun things to do here. There are two racetracks with bicycles -- one for big kids, one for little kids. There's a barn with a slide. There are three straw-bale mazes. There's a sandbox with tractors and trucks. There are two jungle gyms with slides, towers and swings. There is a rope maze with an elevated deck in the middle that you can stand on and see up high. There's also a neat tower made of huge tires for kids to climb and declare themselves the "king of the world." (Nearly every kid said that when they climbed to the top.) We stayed here about 2.5 hours and probably could have stayed here even longer. This is a great place for children. They offer a wide variety of food; we ordered bratwursts and chips. (They serve Broad Ripple Chip Co. chips here!) We also had to duck into the sweets shop and grab an apple cider slushy and some donuts. They offer two kinds: pumpkin and apple cider. Of course we got both. The food was very good, and I like that they make a point of supporting local businesses. This was our first visit to Tuttle, but I see us coming back again soon! You know the time of year, when it feels like summer in the sunshine and winter in the shade? That's when it's time for a trip to the apple orchard! Although, there's something happening all year at the orchard (see my photos of spring-summer-fall-winter), Tuttle Orchard is my favorite one to visit in the fall, because there's so much to do there... Run through the corn mazes, take a hayride, walk the acres full of apple trees in neat rows, and pick pumpkins out of patch. Visit the Tuttle store where you can sample sometimes and BUY LOCAL: candies, apples, pumpkins, pies, meats, dressings/dips, honey, etc. Directly across from the store is Tuttle Cafe Sweet Shop where you can buy hot apple cider, caramel apples, FRESH apple cinnamon donuts. Tuttle's Grill has hot lunch meals- try the brat cooked in apple cider, mmm it comes w/ a side of applesauce and Broad Ripple Chips. Last note- check out the beehive (next to the grill) thank the bees- couldn't happen w/out bees! While many people know Tuttle's as a fall time destination for carmel apples, apple cider, corn mazes, and pumpkins, it is much more than that. It is a family owned farm that is opened year round. Their store is one of the best places to get locally grown products. They carry more than just apples there. They carry products of other local farmers, including grain feed beef, some pork products, and now chicken breasts. Their products vary based on what's in season, but you can always find meat, apple cider, frozen pies, frozen veggies and fruits, and local honey.One of their best programs is their tote program which you can get weekly, and biweekly in winter, which provides you with fresh fruits and veggies. Over the years Tuttle's has improved their fall activities by modifying the farm for an increase of visitors during this time. They have cops who direct traffic and parking attendants to point you to where you need to go. They also have separated their sweat shop on Saturdays from the regular store, so the carmel apples, cider slushies, and fudge are across from the actual store. They also have a outside hotdog, brat, and corn stand. They have increased their seating area for this as well. Just be forewarned that their busiest season is late September through early November and you can expect a crowd of families during this time which can take away from the peacefulness of the farm. Turtle orchards is a must during the fall season. It's one of the more popular orchards in Indy so I recommend going on weekdays! There will definitely be crowds on the weekends and lines. There weren't too many apples but still many pumpkins left. read more

Ate lunch in cafe. Expected prices to be higher than usual, which is generally okay if food good and good experience. But Weds 6-5-2024 visit made me decide to eat lunch elsewhere before going here in the future. I had a $25.00 gift card which I thought would be close to cover lunch. Lunch ended up being $31.00 for two mostly thick tomato sandwiches with about 4 slices of thin bacon. Each came with a lunch size bag of chips. No complimentary water is available. 17 oz bottle Niagara water is $2.50. When we went to the Farm store after lunch, same bottle of water is $1.50 there. Don't mind paying more, but no one likes being taken advantage of. No more lunches here. read more

I was so surprised to learn that we live a few miles from this amazing Orchard. Tuttle Orchards does not disappoint! My daughter, husband and I came on a lovely weekday during fall break. We shopped the cute little market and had a delicious lunch from their cafe. First of all the apple cider slush is Awesome! I am now addicted to their Orchard Grilled Cheese...it's buttery and crispy with bacon and the perfect amount of cheese...my husband had a turkey and apple wrap sandwich...he let me have a small bite and now I need another in my life. The staff is warm and welcoming...the donuts are fluffy and delicious...I am in love with this place! We will definitely be going back soon! read more

Apples and Cider and so much more! I love this place and it's only about 15 minutes from the east side of town. Fresh apples from the orchard are at least 20 times better than store bought apples. Cider from here is just better than anything available at a store. They also have locally made Pies, Jams, and Vegetables. Other stuff too! I saw local pickles and candles. Great country friendly staff that make you feel like your home again. In the fall, this was a cool place to bring the kids when they were young. They have lots of fall foliage type events. read more

We love tuttles! Grandma lives out that way so it's always a fun stop. The frozen blueberry lemon buckle pie is AMAZING!! Peaches are amazing. Cafe is really tasty! My only complaint is that tractor town should only be a few bucks during the quieter season. We would frequent more if it didn't cost us $20+ to play for about an hour as there isn't much to do to play longer than that. A petting zoo would be an awesome addition, too, and would bring us around more often. All together a great spot that should be visited whenever you're nearby! read more

I visited here today with a group in range from young 20's to elders. It was incredibly busy as it was a Saturday but they handled the crowds well. We dined at the grill and all of the food was hot and fresh. The cafe was also good. There is a severe lack of shaded areas which is an issue considering how warm of a fall we are having. The farm store is super cute and has some unique items. Prices are higher than at chain stores but it's all local. The apple orchard has a lot of selection too. Overall a good time. read more

We go to Tuttles every year around this time and we love it. They have lots of activities for the kids besides picking apples. There have several play areas for kids of different ages that are fenced in so you can keep a good eye on your kids. They also have a cute little store with lots of locally made goodies. We visited Tuttle Orchards this past weekend with a couple friends and our kids. Everyone was so friendly which is always a breath of fresh air at any establishment . There was a lot of space to roam around and find a pumpkin, but they had pre-picked pumpkins too which was nice because it was a little muddy in the patch : ) they also offered yummy food and drinks ! Really glad we discovered this in the fall! If you're looking to go to a pumpkin patch, I would recommend going here. Not a bad drive from Indy, plenty of parking, very reasonable prices, well run and delicious goodies! There's also a variety of activities geared toward families, but we did not venture over to that side this trip, so I can't leave any feedback on that aspect! For the pumpkin patch, it's free admission and you just pay for your pumpkins. You can pick one directly from the vine in the fields or from a bin of already-picked pumpkins. They also had a vast array of gourds and decorative pumpkins. A couple of tips: it gets muddy in the pumpkin patches so wear appropriate footwear! I made the rookie mistake of wearing slip on sneakers that kept getting caught in the mud. Make sure to head to the cafe area after for some fall treats like the apple cider donuts, hot apple cider or an apple cider slushy! Also, a heads up they are closed on Sunday's. read more

Tuttle's is our go-to for spring flowers and plants and they have a huge variety so there's something for everyone. This place is PACKED. One thing I didn't like was that you had to pay for literally everything separate. I would prefer one straight admission fee then extra for food, etc. I probably won't come back until the sunflowers are back! Not a bad place, just pricy and busy. There's a fee for apple picking, based on what size bag you do. A fee for kids to play in the play yard, I think it was $5. A fee for the tractor. And obviously you have to pay for your pumpkins. Tuttle Orchard is an beautiful orchard. I would say you're guaranteed a full, quality fall experience when you visit. I have been to Tuttle Orchards twice now and I had an even better time the second time around. The apples and cider are delicious! (Best cider ever!) I haven't tried anything else from the store because the basics are just that good. The apples are u-pick and so are the pumpkins. The play area for kids is elaborate and though it costs extra I think it's definitely worth it if you have little ones! The store barns are a little more industrial than other cutesy barn/stores I've been to at other orchards, but the employees are friendly and helpful and the envI would highly recommend visiting Tuttle's this fall and every fall! read more

I'm so thankful there's a quality apple orchard like Tuttle's that is close to the city! My friends and I visited this weekend and were very pleased with the apple selection, quality and customer service. Tuttles has a large variety of apples for picking- including Golden Delicious that were, well, delicious! The farm store also sold an expanse of different apples that had ripened earlier, as well as apple products. Although it was very busy, the staff did an excellent job directing traffic and moving the lines quickly. The amount of people didn't feel overwhelming or annoying at all. If anything, it was fun to see a few cute kids looking for the "perfect apple." What most impressed me, however, was the kindness of employees. I, stupidly some might say, put my car keys on the ground to take a photo. Later, I began frantically searching for them and the staff was very responsive and helpful. Thankfully, someone had turned the keys in at the checkout counter. In hindsight, the worst case scenario was staying at the orchard, so I can't complain. I could've stayed there all day! read more

What a cute orchard near Indy! I've heard of Tuttle before but have never been. I decided to stop by since they are open here round and have a shop with some fun holiday gift ideas. I first checked out the cafe for a snack. I tried the peach pie which was delicious. It's a pie I would definitely purchase for a family get together. I didn't eat lunch in their cafe but all of the options looks so good. I want to go back for lunch sometime. Their shop is small but has a lot of great options to buy. I have been going to Tuttles for many years. Missed them greatly when I spent a few years in Texas ( no orchards there-no fresh apples, cider, apple butter, pies, jams, etc ). So happy to be back and find one of my favorite places still going strong! Can't beat the apple cider- anywhere! And the apples are delicious. My family absolutely loves apple butter and nobody makes better. They even have different varieties you can try. Tuttles works with many farms and offers local products to their customers. There are different cuts of meat, cheese and other dairy products and, my favorite, the frozen quiches that you take home and bake. My family has tried and loved them all. The pot pies are pretty awesome. They have a Cafe which serves delicious sandwiches, candies, and great slushies. Everyone tries the apple cider one which is sooo good. But you might try the peach. Great! There is a play center for kids and many events for the whole family. Tuttles is truly a wonderful experience and I thank them for treating me and everyone like family. read more

This place expands and changes every year that I visit. I always go on a Saturday in the fall. There is plenty to do for the kiddos including a corn maze, tractor hayrides, and a play area for toddlers on up. There's an apple orchard, pumpkin patch, and sunflowers available for picking. The grill serves up yummy brats, hot dogs, or pulled pork sandwiches served with their delicious applesauce and a bag of Broad Ripple Co. potato chips. Their cider slushies are a must have as well. No trip to Tuttles is complete without a stop at their farm store to get a gallon of cider and a jar of applesauce to go. There are plenty of other delights to choose from in the store, and across the way in the sweet shop. Tuttles is a fave. I haven't been to too many apple orchards but every time I come to Tuttle's it is a great experience. I have come here with preschool groups, as a leader. I have been here with my family. I have been here with high school age groups, as a leader. & I have also been here just to pick up goodies! They do an excellent job with their group tours! They take so many groups through every day and do a wonderful job. The staff is very friendly and courteous. Every year they offer more activities on site which makes them more appealing. The corn maze is fun for kids and adults of all ages. The "guess who" type game on the grounds was fun as well. Tractor town, the play area for kids, is really fun for them! The best part for me is the cider and food items. The caramel apples are delicious, the donuts are moist and the lunch options from the grill are great! Finally, they have a great pumpkin patch with tons of options. The pricing is fair and you can get some great fall decorations for your home. This is a must visit every year for me. read more

Wonderful local orchard that has all of the fall festivities and back goods you could want. I've been here multiple times for apple picking, pumpkin picking, buying donuts and cider, and taking cute fall pictures with friends. They always have a great selection of sweet treats and farm to table goodies. My favorites are the pumpkin donuts, the black bean and corn salsa, and the unsweetened apple sauce. Ive been here with a big group in college for a sorority sisterhood event and also for dates! In the summer months a year or so ago I went for a produce picking experience with a farmer and it was awesome! We got to pick a basket of product with the help of one of the farmers. The quality of food is top tier; I've never had anything I didn't like and even during Corona virus it is well organized for social distancing by having time slots you can reserve. Tuttles will get you pumped for fall but is actually open all year round. It is great for families and for people without kids. This apple orchard is free to attend and has organized and safe parking. The farm store has pie, veggies, cider sales, apple goodies, and pre-picked apples. We love the apple salsa which has a kick to it. There are plenty of samples to try so you know what you are buying. We also got lunch which was a pulled pork sandwich with apple butter, applesauce, and Broad Ripple Chip Company chips. The sandwich was fresh and I love that they incorporated apples. Had to get both a cider slushie and a hot cider since it was a cool fall day but the slushies are my favorite. We picked our own apples the smallest bag is only $6 but we upgraded to the $12 bag and probably took home 15 apples of golden delicious, red gala, and johnathan. It's really fun to pick your own apples and the trails are well maintained. See you next fall! read more
