The meeting with Santa was one of the best experiences we've ever had with a Santa Claus! They have a separate Santa Shack and families can go in one at a time so it's a more intimate and meaningful experience than having a line of people crowded behind you while you're trying to talk to Santa. The Santa was so jolly and sweet and my kids were all smiles the entire time. We had time to take pictures without a crowd around which we really enjoyed as well, and I'm definitely making these shots our family Christmas cards for the year! I'd love if there was a way for the farm to cover the train and tractor with a clear tarp if possible so that it wouldn't be so cold while you're looking at the lights. But also understand that you will be outside on about a 20 minute ride while you enjoy the lights so make sure you bundle up!

First, the pricing for entrance at the register didn't state what was charged for children under 16. Instead I paid the adult price for myself and two kids under age 6. The farms website says children up to age three pay $5. My son just turned three. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying. For $30 we couldn't go on the train or the big slide or the fossil dig. We could go on the cow train but I never found anyone standing near it. Did I have to go find someone? I still have no idea. My son wanted to do it. The fun things we did do were play in the 'sand' (more like fine gravel) play area, see the pigs and goats and pick pumpkins to buy. One thing we wanted to do but didn't was the bounce pad. It was filthy! Covered in sun baked mud. My oldest was really disappointed. The staff here were nice when we interacted with them, but they all seemed very preoccupied with talking amongst one another. I waited quite a while to have someone tally up my pumpkin order. No one seemed to know who was in charge of that task. I will say I bought a fair number of pumpkins and was fully expecting the total to be over $50 and it was only $29. So I guess I am calling it even on the overcharge for entry.

This was my first time at Fishers AgriPark and I was not aware they have farm animals such as sheep and pigs. For this reason no pets are allowed. It's a great experience for kids to learn about farming, nature and interact with animals. All are welcome to visit the farm during this time to grab a free tree for their household. You can choose from a Butternut, Persimmon or Burr Oak. take a special Arbor Day StoryWalk and complete Arbor Day-themed craft activities! This event is free, and no registration is required.

The playground is so fun with a mud kitchen, sand area, and wooden playground with balance beams and bridges. We got to pick sunflowers and peppers on our late August visit, which we'd all loved. Sunflowers had a per person limit, but everything else was whatever fit in the bucket they provided. They had plastic bags for take home, but I brought my own reusable one. The farm animals were a highlight. We fed corn cobs to cows, hand fed sheep, saw chickens, a piggy, and donkey. My mini loved all of that and we easily could've stayed there for ages! The bathrooms were clean and one even had an adult changing station. Staff we met were friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. Next time, I'd love to walk the trail we didn't get to. And there will be a next time because this is a great free farm-venture spot to explore!

Kelley was fantastic, sharing her knowledge of sustainable beekeeping and the care that goes into producing pure, organic honey straight from the hive. The farm gift shop was stocked with incredible raw, unprocessed honey, honeycomb, and beeswax products--we left with plenty! We're so excited to come back this summer for the Honey House Tour, Beehive Tour, Forestry Tour, and Queen Special Tour! Getting to work a live beehive with a beekeeper and see the honey extraction process will be unforgettable. If you're looking for the best raw, organic honey in Indiana and a truly unique farm experience, Hunter's Honey Farm is a must-visit!

So many cool things about that experience... 1) I used a chainsaw for the first time and now I want to cut down all the trees! 2) We put something that wouldn't fit in our car in our relatively new truck bed... it was sooooo big! 3) While I was there, I bought several jars of their honey (again)! They have completely embraced the "hot honey" trend and are making some amazing honeys that are perfect for a nice "drizzle" on pizza, a Christmas ham or even as a sweetener in your green beans or spaghetti sauce! Their service is fantastic and you're even able to taste a few before buying! Go see them for gift baskets or to join their "honey (not jelly) of the month club" #iykyk

Aldi, I love you. I received my weekly Aldi ad in the mail showcasing all of the fun holiday items…read more(cheese advent calendars, candles, you name it) so away we went to Aldi for our much-needed grocery trip. We chose this particular location because we were in the area for a hike (and because I enjoy seeing different iterations). It was a clean and straightforward store with the newer refreshed look (bottle lighting in the wine and beer section, fresh signage on the walls, etc.). I can't get enough of the Aldi finds section and always find something new to try. We're also big fans of the produce prices and organic milk. If you've never been to an Aldi store, they've no frills for the sake of efficiency and cutting out waste. The stores boast an impressive selection of cheap organic produce and extensive cheese options. This is always my first stop when building a cheese board for parties. Tips for newbies: bring a quarter for your shopping cart and bags to carry home your purchases (they charge for bags).

The produce selection rivals that of larger grocery stores. The shelves are neatly stocked and there's always something new to try. This week they had the cutest terrariums. My girlfriends and I hosted a wine and game night. We put together a cheese plate that was an absolute hit thanks to Aldi. I don't know if you've ever put a cheese plate together but to get an array of flavors you would usually spend a pretty penny. We did it for a fraction of the typical cost and honestly a better selection. It's VERY easy to go in for a few things and blackout ending up with a cart FULL of stuff! (I may or may not have done it on a few occasions) But here's the catch... I never feel bad about it because it's all so good and I save quite a bit! My reason for not giving a 5 review....When I go to check out there are never enough lanes open. I went tonight and there was one cashier and at least 12 people in line ready to checkout.
