Noticed teacher turnovers were quite high the last 2-3 years but it did not interfere with the quality of care. They are very flexible with scheduling, as long as the days all fall within the week. You have reservation 2 weeks a year where tuition is half the price if you will be on vacation for the week. What I liked about Tutor Time is that they serve meals (breakfast, lunch and snacks). Also the ability have camera views of the classrooms does put my mind at ease. The app they use is Sprout About and teachers update their nap times, activities, how much breakfast of or lunch they ate and will indicate what classrooms your kid is transferred to. After day 2, my youngest daughter was informing us that kids are playing tag in small confined class rooms and disrupting other kids while they are trying to learn. We advised the school and Ms. Monet of this incident and requested some feedback about this. We were advised they allow them to play tag in a confined learning center. We were a bit setback as this is not a playground and extremely unsafe for others. Moving forward a week, we get a call from Ms. Monet advising the kids were playing tag again and running in this confined space. They bumped into my youngest daughter. She fell and rolled her ankle. It was sprained severely. All we got from Ms. Monet was a sorry and we will talk to our Teachers. After the discussion, she quickly moved onto advising there is a field trip. First Field trip to Popeyes, second field trip to H-Mart. We spend about $2500.00 for this program not to go to Popeyes or H-Mart. We as parents can do this ourselves. We immediately pulled our Daughters out of this program and requested a refund. We were told they only do accounting 1 time per month. Even after all this, they were trying to sell us on the fact they can do 1 on 1 tutoring at their facility. We passed on that ridiculous offer as we do not feel their is a priority on safety and supervision from Ms. Monet and her Leadership for our Children. On top of this, waiting on the refund for 6.5 days (6.5 days because we had to pick up our injured daughter) of going this school on a 4 week program, we were only refunded $814.00. Steer clear of this place. Its unorganized and self centered on revenue.

As an educator myself, I was looking for a preschool that prioritized social interaction and the arts--and Southwood has been an affordable jackpot. The administration consists of the owner and three extremely hard-working directors. They've worked together for many years and run the school like a well-oiled machine. From Christmas and Grandparents' Day to Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween costume parades, and even a sweet "Graduation" ceremony, they go all out planning thoughtful, memorable events for the children and their families. Students regularly sing for their families and are treated to special experiences like puppet shows. The teachers are incredibly caring and knowledgeable about early childhood development. They consistently model how to identify feelings and guide children through managing their emotions in healthy, age-appropriate ways. Lesson plans are posted every Monday outside the classroom, and I now have two large boxes filled with my child's artwork--each piece reflecting classroom themes like colors, ecosystems, countries around the world, and famous artists. For an additional cost, children can join high-quality enrichment classes like dance, gymnastics, music, computers, and karate. We did most of them (except karate) and enjoyed every one. As my child heads off to TK, she can write every letter of the alphabet, her full name, match letters to their sounds, and is beginning to sound out words during our bedtime reading. She loves school, the friends she's made, and the teachers who have supported her every step of the way. I will deeply miss this sweet little preschool.
