I am very grateful to TLE Torrance! My children love going here! The curriculum is great, the school is always clean inside and outside, my daughter likes the food too! I love the school app on my phone. At any time I can check on my kids progress throughout the day, which includes photos. I love this! Staff- My children's teachers are warm, patient and very welcoming. Mrs. Rocio is a TOTAL rockstar! My family loves her. Other teachers such as Ms. Lilian, Ms. Ashley, Mrs. Laurette are awesome too. We love TLE!! It has already been three years and I could not be more thankful we found this preschool. Our son graduated this past summer and our dtr is 2.5 (who started in Infants) and currently in Preppers. It is comforting to know that our dtr will likely have all the same amazing teachers that her brother had for the next two years. I love how Ms. Jenn, Ms. Marisol, Ms. Anna, Ms. Serena, Ms. Lorette, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Amanda, Ms. Aisha, and Ms. Demi (too many to name!) have loved on our kids and have developed their own special relationships with them. As busy parents, we truly appreciate the loving, attentive teachers, the strong curriculum, and of course-- the ever-important calendar. Of all the preschools/ daycares we researched in the area before and after joining, TLE has the least number of closed days. Also, it was very clear with our son transitioning to TK this year that TLE prepared him well academically and socially. Although there have been some cutbacks and tuition increases with the new owner back in Dec 2023, I'm glad that TLE was able to retain many of its great teachers. After almost 2 years with a nanny working for us, we started sending our kiddo to The Learning Experience. It was a tough transition but we were all ready and the staff here welcomed us from the start. No cameras, but we get updates on a mobile app. It's been a few months and we've all settled in. The kids learn a lot in their classes even at 2 years. Our kid loves numbers, letters, shapes, and colors and the teachers all lean into that with fun activities that keep them interested. My son has been attending The Learning Experience since it has opened in 2020. I cannot imagine taking him or going anywhere else. The center still looks brand new, the lobby and classrooms are always decorated and in great shape, everyone from the front office and inside the classrooms have great customer service, and the quality of care is impeccable. My son comes home everyday with something new he's learned and I appreciate this the most because he's at TLE for the majority of the day and week. I can't say enough great things about this place. Before sending my son here, I researched several other daycares in the area and decided to place my trust in this center because of the lively energy and atmosphere. I am so glad I chose this center for my then 1 year old who is now 3! I also placed my youngest 1 year old here a year after and am so happy I did. He is learning so quickly and his speech gets better every day. He talks nonstop at 1 years old. Even though this location is a much farther commute from my home it is well worth it. The teachers and staff are absolutely caring, wonderful and fun. The attention to detail is superb. They call me immediately when my boys are sick or if 1 may have fallen accidentally. The curriculum has a lot of variety and they are always finding activities and new experiences to keep them learning and growing. My son has been attending since 2020. It was so hard to find a place that I could trust. It is a brand new building-- and I remember there being a bunch of restaurants on that street. So I am glad that this center is hidden and away from the main street. I have known the previous directors and now the current director since the center has opened, and this day care is like a 2nd home for me and my son. They are truly family to me. The teachers are amazing and are so patient and accommodating to my son and family. I know that it is hard to take care of a lot of children and they make it look so easy. The Learning Experience in Torrance is a great place to send your kiddos.The most important thing to me as a parent is to make sure my kids attend a school that is safe re: it is enclosed and has staff that is very conscientious of keeping doors locked, etc... You get this at this location. I don't have to worry in this area which is very encouraging. Another thing we appreciate is the staff. My kids love their teachers! Mrs. Elvia is amazing. She is well rounded. My son is learning multiple subjects from her, he adores and his classmates. He looks forward to seeing her daily. We've been with TLE - Torrance for a little over a month now and my son loves it and we love it. It's the best decision we've ever made.my son was in speech therapy before we placed him in TLE and his progress was so slow. I saw an ad of TLE on facebook and convinced my husband to let our son try it. He cried 3 or 4 days at drop off but days after, wakes up so early and gets so excited to dress up and go. We even decided to stop his therapy since we have seen more improvements on him from TLE. He loves Miss Carrie and Miss Kristine and all the teachers there. Now, when we drop him off, he already waves bye with a smile and also gets so excited to see me when i pick him up. Tuition is reasonable. Teachers there takes care of the kids as if they were their own. They serve snacks and lunch too. Our child, who is now reaching two years old, has been at The Learning Experience for almost a year now and we are absolutely in love with it. What I love most about TLE is definitely THE STAFF. Ms. Demi, Ms. Aisha, and Ms. Taylor who manage the school have been absolutely wonderful throughout the entire process of signing up and are now great friends of the entire family. And although my child has only 2-3 teachers at a time, we've now befriended almost all the teachers in the school through events, chatting in the hallway, and more. I really can't think of any teacher that hasn't been a joy to speak with. Each day I look forward to dropping off my child and picking them up, and my child absolutely loves it there. After the staff, I would say the cleanliness, modern sensibilities, and modern building are what originally attracted our family to it. After a rigorous search in this area, TLE was by far the best option, and I don't think anything else stands up to it for our child's age. There will possibly be a wait to get into TLE, but I also didn't find any school for our toddler that didn't have a waitlist. We have been at TLE for over two years now and love it. We have two children there and have experienced every single classroom setting, from the infant room all the way up to preschool 3, which is their TK equivalent. We even chose to keep our eldest there this year despite him qualifying for TK elsewhere, because Ms. Brittney is an absolutely amazing teacher and the school has been fantastic. Ms. Marisol, Ms. Jen, and Ms. Joanna in the Twaddler room are the best and we love them. Ms. Taylor and Ms. Aisha are wonderful, and Ms. Demi is a terrific center director. I never hesitate to reach out to anyone, and I know any questions or concerns are immediately addressed in a prompt and courteous manner. I think people are hands down what make a center what it is, and we came to TLE from another center specifically because we knew Ms. Demi, Ms. Marisol, Ms. Jen, and Ms. Priscilla were going to be there, and that they are terrific, kind, loving teachers and caregivers. My daughter has loved coming to school. She use to be on the more shy side but has opened up so much. She loves her teacher and has been helping our daughter become more social with others. My daughter will tell us about her friends and the activities she was able to do. When she walks into school, she immediately will run to the management team upfront to give them hugs. Where do I begin..... My son has been attending The Learning Experience since they first opened their doors in October 2020. For reference, my son is now 3 1/2 years of age. My initial experience (under different management or as Center Supervisor) with Ms. Carrie was nothing short of the homiest and best experience for my son and family. The teachers were eager to nurture and foster the development of my child throughout his 1st 2 years of life. Additionally, parents felt a sense of relief dropping their babies off each day, knowing they were in good hands. Unfortunately, our experience as of recently (since July 2022) when a new Center supervisor took over sadly changed in the worse way. The lack of communication and professionalism from the staff, specifically Demi Lara (new supervisor), was extremely disheartening and disappointing. Time and time again, there was miscommunication when it came to school events, the safety of my son, and financial responsibilities. At one point, my son somehow managed to run off of school property and was found in the parking lot by another parent. Yet the blame was shifted to a 3-year-old rather than focusing on the issue at hand. The teachers are overwhelmed by the number of children in their classrooms and do not have enough staff to accommodate any one child's needs. Once Demi took over for Carrie, lots of changes were implemented that were not in the best interests of the children and/or their parents. When dropping off your child at a school or any establishment, you would expect for your child to be well taken care of. However, there were multiple instances where my son came back with scratches or marks, without any acknowledgement from TLC. Whenever I addressed my concerns, I was spoken to in a condescending manner. Rather than investigating any of my concerns or speaking to the teachers, my son and his "behaviors" were automatically blamed without taking anything else into consideration. My son is currently in speech and occupational therapy which is allowing him to finetune his motor skills and work on his development. However, at the end of the day, he is still a 3-year-old who is learning to navigate life and goes through his challenges, just as any other toddler does. Instead of providing my son with resources or providing him with support at school, TLC had the audacity to ask me to have one of his speech or occupational therapists come to their school to teach their staff how to understand our children better. What am I paying TLC $1500+ a month for if they are unable to be willing to take the time and patience to create an inviting environment for my son to thrive? I have never felt that humiliated and a failure as a parent compared to when speaking to Demi regarding my son. She made him out to be a MENACE, rather than a 3-year-old child that is growing and learning his emotions, feelings, and how to categorize them appropriately. Lets address the "play based" philosophy that was also set to be TLE's daily guide I guess. There have been several times my son's father have dropped our son off to school where he questioned children hitting my son and getting in his face for their teacher's response to be "That's just how they play". When addressed several times to the Supervisor, we were told that basically there were other things to worry about at that time and that child's parents were never contacted. It took 3 years for us to be contacted and pulled into an office to tell us that my son's speech development was not progressing at the level he should be for his age, yet nothing is being taught in the classroom for 8-9 hours a day? Nevertheless, my family jumped right on it and was able to get the best Speech and Occupational therapists in Orange county where he thrived INSTANTLY all because they took the time to recognize my son's weaknesses verbally where he later began using so many words!! When asked why the school and teachers have been so REACTIVE to the well being of our son, we were told they have not hired teachers who can accommodate our son's needs and they are more of daycare teachers. Quick shoutout to Ms. Brittany! TLE does not deserve her teaching style, positive radiance and true love for her class! Giovanni was in her class for a few months and we truly took her for granted! He learned so much! Reading, learning how to make choices and what they were, obedience, activities of daily living, YOU NAME IT! Lastly, my son started to speak clear and voice that he did not want to go to his classroom anymore. He started to walk to his classroom door and tell his teachers he wanted to go "BYE BYE" and would sometimes open the door and run out! As a mom, this was very concerning both for his safety and curiosity as to what suddenly made him feel this way. His dad and I would receive COUNTLESS voicemails and phone calls to come pick our son up from school because they could not tend to him "eloping". PART 2 SOON! read more

My wife got close to making an appt, but even then nobody responded. I have been wanting to take my child here for quite some time. I just recently started working around the area when I was told about that daycare center so I decided to check it out, when we finally went in for a tour Someone at the front desk didn't even pay us any mind, so my husband says to the woman that we're here for a tour. The woman just gets up and walks out shouting to someone in the hallway when we hear someone make a (not necessarily a comment) more like a "UGH" as if she were annoyed, I believe her name was Miss Alisha, me and my husband instantly felt uncomfortable but then the Director Miss Demi showed us around the center, after going through the tour process, I've seen a few things that kind of bothered me. The lights, it was during the lunch hour and some children were sleeping and the rooms were pitch dark. I could not see a thing in there. To ensure the children are safe you'd have to see them breathing, it was obvious it's allowed their because I had made a comment saying "wow it's really dark in their" and she laughed it off. Another thing after passing the toddler classrooms I seen the bitty babies eating cookies or crackers, it looked like a choking hazard waiting to happen. I didn't get a great vibe from the woman who showed us around.. the staff there looked unhappy and I couldn't fathom having my child there being watched by them, I surprisingly knew an employee who worked there and got to speak with her about the daycare and I was surprised and shocked to know what goes on in there. The director who gave me and my husband the tour gave me a bad vibe I just had a bad feeling about her especially the other woman who looked annoyed, after finishing the tour we step into the lobby where we just overhear the staff gossiping about their personal lives using profanity and speaking badly about the children who attend their, and the director just being casual about it. The worst of it was when I noticed Sheets of personal information which I believe were families paperwork, and Social Security were left on the desk for everyone to see. so careless! Please parents just please be aware of where you send your child, this place is not somewhere you should think about when taking your child for care. This school is too over priced. Over $2,000+. Don't let an updated building fool you. You can get the same basic care at a damn whole in a wall over this place. I promise you it's better daycares out there. It's clear that they are paying people (with a fake smile and a laugh) to write good things about their company. The cameras don't even record it's only LIVE which was the biggest red flag to me. How much they charge they should have someone watching and film be recording 24/7. As a new a parent, this was my first time ever taking a tour at a day care center. Ms Demi Ms Carrie and Ms Aisha greet you at the front and made me and my fiancé feel so welcomed entering the building. Ms Demi gave me a tour of the school and she was very sweet, informative, and answered all my questions. She did mention that they were currently not enrolling due to the center being full but walking into the center I got such an amazing feeling and I know that this day care is worth the wait. Although their waitlist is at a hold as well, I plan to keep in touch with Ms Demi and management. I would recommend doing a tour and meeting the staff at front. Our experience has been mixed. The classroom teachers really seem kind and caring. Our child is mostly happy when there. The not so great part has been communication with directors. Prior to starting at TLE I was having a hard time getting responses to emails and call backs. Leading up to before my child started, just getting the necessary forms required me physically going into the facility to request them. On my kiddo's 1st day, I was told I hadn't filled everything out- but that's because they hadn't given me all the forms. Also on day 1, rather than a warm welcome, I was asked "who are you?" and "what are you doing?" when kiddo and I walked in. We did not know proper check-in procedures because, again, no one had explained them to us before our 1st day. I hope this improves. read more

I never write reviews, but after coming for a tour. Thought I needed to share. One there is a lady who was working in the front with no work attire on. Leggings and a crop top which I felt at first was super unprofessional. Director was very nice, but as she proceeded to show me around the school I noticed a tall lady leaving a classroom with slide sandals which as a parent felt was super unprofessional. Classrooms seemed nice, but once I took a look into the toddler classroom teachers did not look happy or enthusiastic to be in there. I noticed a lot of the children had dirty noses and clothing and were just walking around the classroom, teachers not engaging. As I was in the front I can hear the lady with the crop top and another working chatting away which seemed like drama and nothing about work. Catty conversations which is super unprofessional which makes me question what else happens behind closed doors. STAY away.
