Cheap & crowded! It used to be decent but now it's way too crowded, not enough popular machines

Our son attends Ivy Smart's after-school program, and we truly appreciate their support. IvySmart has trustworthy afrerschool program. They pick up kids from school and offer tutoring and lessons to kids. I really depend on them for this afterschool program and holiday programs. My kid is overall happy with the teachers and maintain good progress for math and (english) writing thanks to these afterschool learning. read more

I am very glad that my kids have been to IvySmart for a couples of years. They know exactly what parents need. Due to the COVID-19, they adjust the regular classes to online interactive classes. I really appreciate it because the online classes are just as good as before; furthermore, they add more classes and didn't even ask for us to pay. My kids are learning more stuff since they have more time at home; the online things are keeping them busy and engaged. read more

This is a great afterschool. I struggled with finishing my homework before I came here, but the teachers in the homework session were able to help me answer all of my questions. They were all nice and funny. I slowly improved on my tests and my grades, and I also remembering doing extra problems in the Ivy classes. I would always ask why we would have to do more math and English work even though I had so much homework in my actual school, but looking back now, I realize that the extra practice really came a long way. Ivy is a cool place to go to after school if you get stuck on homework and need help with school in general. I'm glad I came, and it has really helped a lot ever since. read more

Going to Ivy League School as a little boy was the best. I came here when I was in middle school, a shy, quiet, and lazy student who didn't care too much about school. Ivy really changed me in that aspect. In fact, I actually met some people here who would become some of my best friends. Ivy isn't just a place where you can study and do homework. It's a home for many kids who need help with school but also want to make the best out of it. I still remember going to fun field trips like Knott's Berry Farm and Soak City with my friends there. Coming out of the pandemic, my daughter struggled in middle school. Thankfully, we found Ivy Smart. She has been in the after-school program now for not even 3 months and she has improved tremendously. They are very consistent in their follow up not just with finishing assignments but reteaching fundamental skills and building study habits to become a better lifelong learner. I originally signed up as our after-school care was filled up at the school my son attends. My initial thought was that my son was used to just "playing" at the after school program and was not going to be happy to do more academics. To my surprise, he never complained. Before we found Ivy Smart, my son was miserable doing his school work at home. He's in 1st grade and does not enjoy all the Zoom classes. Since going to Ivy Smart, he's like a different kid, much happier. He does his Zoom class and all school work at Ivy Smart and they've helped keep him on track. They were also able to work in additional school work packets to supplement his school work which has been very helpful. He's getting more out of those Ivy Smart packets than some of the curriculum at school. They've also done a great job with keeping close tabs on his savvy computer skills since he tends to "wander" on to other non school websites! Coming over the summer was so much fun! I remember my parents bringing me here during middle school, and I made so many friends. They have fun activities like barbecues, field trips, and Wii. In the mornings, we would study math and English. The material was kind of hard, but it helped make work during the school year much easier. The English teachers would go over vocabulary and help with essay writing. The math teachers would teach us how to do problems and give us practice. In the afternoons, we did some more work, but there was a lot of recreational activities. Ivy is a great place to hang out and study during the summer. I didn't come over the school year since I was busy with homework, but a lot of my friends did, and they tell me that they enjoyed it as well! read more

My daughter was struggling. At first it was helping to finish homework. Then habits for better study. In the end she went from C's and D's to the honor roll after a year of tutoring. I recommend multiple teachers at the site. Very personalized service. Most was via Zoom during the pandemic, but now in person; in person seems to be far more efficient. We've cut back to 3 days per week and added back in many extra curricular activities. read more

Let me tell you something: this place is worth every penny that you pay for. I really didn't want to be here when I was younger, but my parents thought it was the best choice for me because I was struggling in school. In just a couple of months, I noticed substantial results. I did better in school; I didn't have any incomplete homework because I was able to get the help from the after-school teachers. And I started doing so much better on my exams, particularly math, all because the staff helped me prepare for it. Additionally, I found that a lot of material I covered in school was easier because Ivy's program allows you to study ahead and become exposed to the material before you actually learn it in school. While everybody was struggling with Algebra, I often found myself helping my friends figure things out because I had already learned the material in Ivy. This after-school tutoring place is seriously a good investment for kids of any age. If you want to do well on tests at school or learn how to write better, this is the go-to place for your kids. read more

I would highly recommend IVY Smart School. I have a 9 year old and although he is very independent and can do all his school work, I needed something a little extra to help him learn more than the what he was given at school. Ivy helps him with his homework daily and he is also instructed by IVY in high level math, reading, spelling and writing . I have noticed that my son has excelled in math 1 level grade up and his writing has improved a lot. Monet, the director, keeps us informed about my sons progress or if they have any concerns. Also, he is in a private classroom with 1 other student, always wearing a mask and covid safe.. Oh, and there is also a certified teacher at the location everyday. read more

I was at Ivy for about two years doing one-on-one tutoring. The AP Bio tutor was very nice to me, and I'm pretty satisfied with the English tutoring; my essays for AP Lang improved ever since I started tutoring. I didn't attend the summer program, but I heard that's also really good, too. read more

Ms. Monet, Mr. Gary, and Mr. Harris have helped me tremendously over the years. I've had positive experiences here. The staff has always been professional, on-time, helpful, insightful, and generous. They work with you! They meet your student where he or she is and if your student is receptive, they WILL be successful! Not sure why people give this place good review. This is strictly a review for the summer program. This place is very old and dingy. There is no ventilation and is extremely hot in the classrooms. Except for a couple of the staff, majority think they are certified teachers and don't know a thing about teaching. In fact I don't see them teaching any fundamentals here. They expect the students to know it and don't know the difference between being stern and yelling. They punish kids by not letting them eat their lunch because they didn't finish their class work and give them detention if they don't pay attention. It is very frustrating to see my child come home even more discouraged because no one will explain anything to him. Don't get suckered into the phrase "We are famous for....", "Our teachers are very very good...". Typical Chinese sales here. I also don't like the fact that there are older high school kids mixed in with the younger elementary kids. My kids came home learning vulgar vocabulary and know to surf adult content websites. Also don't spend the extra money for the after school activity...the kids don't do anything but sit around. I also have to add that the kids are not being monitored while using the computers. I feel like a bad parent for sticking my kids here thinking they will get a head start for the next school year. read more

Ivy league is a great place for academics but for your child's mind it is not. I am a student that has gone their. Now you are probably thinking this isi ai kid he is going to say it is bad but i will give you both sides. For academics it is a good place it can make your child smart. But mentally it is bad. When I came for the first time it was during the summer. I was 6 or 5 and i had 1 classmates. When i got to homework class on kid told another my age to sat fu while he said ck and everyone one knows what that is. I learned fuck, dick, bitch, nigger, and other bad words before i was even 8. That is how young i was when i learned those words. The teachers are all good at what they do but, some of them are nicer to girls. They all treat girls nicer than they do boys. One year a boy couldn't goto the restroom just cause they were not doing work do you think that is ok? My over all opinion about Ivy is it is good at academics but for your child's brain it is a bad place. read more

Ivy is a great tutoring center. Competent and very friendly teachers, helpful staff, transportation between schools and quick communication. My SAT prep cost me 1500 dollars. It did not help me at all. You're better off learning the material yourself. Complete scam. They literally just print out tests from the book and hand them to you. You take it. And for practice, you literally memorize vocab words and then forget them. Seriously, I have so much regret about this place. read more

If there's one thing I know for sure, Ivy wants you to excel at school and achieve not good, but GREAT grades. Coming here is easy, but it's the staying here part that requires extra effort. Students have to work hard and smart everyday. Consistency is key! Teachers and staff are very all very considerate, friendly and helpful. They will really try to stretch and maximize your potential.
