I am beyond grateful for this daycare. The teachers are great and take good care of our kids. My 2-year-old daughter always talks about Tia and loves going to daycare. I love receiving photos and videos of all the fun activities she is doing during the day. I also love how kind, attentive and easy to talk to are the infant room teachers, Kalee, Angelica, Fernanda and Ada. My baby girl seems very happy, too. We absolutely LOVE this daycare! The teachers are so loving and genuinely care for the kids like their own. You can see how much joy they bring to the classroom every day. On top of creating a nurturing environment, they also teach the kids Spanish words, which has been such an incredible opportunity for our little one to learn a second language at such a young age. Also, they potty trained our toddler!! The director, Shawna, is truly amazing--always so kind, organized, and attentive to both the children and the parents. I still havent received a check in the mail for the credit that was left on my daughter's account. It's been 3 months! My daughter stopped attending in July 2021 because she started Kindergarten the 1st week in August 2021. DO NOT PAY TUITION IN ADVANCE. I was advised by the Director to do this against my better judgment. PS, I was utilizing childcare vouchers to cover part of the tuition (work perk from my job). TutorTime at Arcadia remains the best daycare we have put our children in. The teachers are attentive, and visibly show they care about the kids. Management are also wonderful (which is RARE in a childcare setting). Concerns are listened to, and most importantly, acted on. Shawna, the director has an open door for any parent. Even after we moved, we were still doing the hour long round trip twice a day, everyday for a while because we didn't want to move them. We were here through height of the pandemic in 2020, and it was handled so well, and communication stayed constant. If not for the drive, our two boys would have stayed there until elementary. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this place. How comfortable I feel leaving my child here. The teachers and staff are amazing and very hands-on. They provide the right mix of love, and nurture with a push for independence. My child's skill set and vocabulary has expanded so much in the few months he has been here. I kick myself for not bringing him here sooner! They provide you with an app that keeps you updated on what they ate, naps, diaper changes, and activities. It gives me a great baseline to determine moods and engage in the right questions after his day. Don't be afraid that this is technically a chain or corporate. This Indian School Tutor Time has been AMAZING! Although the class teachers ARE great it's really due to the director Shawna. We've had a few daycares prior and you'll never find a director so personable, organized, attentive to concerns big or small, and on your side when it comes to making sure you are happy and kids are safe!! She knows every kid by name and loves on them arrival/departure! Amazing memory and personable experience. An awesome director really has a lot to do with your experience in a school. The school and classrooms are bright, beautiful and playgrounds all shaded and the kids' favorite part...so many of them - segregated for each age group. The only minor drawbacks is you have to watch screen times ...they'll put on a movie at the very end of day without asking and there are teaching tablets too (although I believe tablets are limited on time allowance). Also the meals aren't as healthy as we'd like occasionally but sometimes they are. Highly recommended. Kellen (3) and Ella (1) are so lucky to have this place!!! read more

On Wednesday 4/10/2019 I received a call from the Assistant manager Jewels. She informed me that my three year old daughter was on the playground and wanted to go in a different direction and her teacher Ms. Fantasia pulled her arm causing her elbow to dislocate. I said to Jewles why did she pull her arm I told Ms. Fantasia about my daughter having nursemaid elbow and not to pull her arm. Jewels said doesn't she have Nursemaid elbow and that my daughter is crying and won't let anyone touch her. When I got to the school I said to Mrs Shawnna the Director and Jewles that I spoke to all three of the teachers that was new to being in her class and informed each of them as a mother of my daughter health condition "Nursemaid Elbow". No one is suppose to pull her arms. Mrs Shawnna the Director said to me her teacher are great and they love the kids. I never said they didn't and asked were my child was. When I went in my daughters class she was by herself lying on her back crying with a receiving blanket wrapped around her to support her elbow. Two teachers their no one comforting her no apologies. On my way out to the ER never given insurance information from the school nor accident report. The next day my mom and I had a meeting with Mrs Shawnna the Director to see what happen to my child. She tell me my daughter pulled her hand front the teacher and hurt her elbow and that was what the incident report said too. I told her that is a lie. Mrs Jewels called my job and told me my daughter was on the playground going on the wrong direction and the teachers Ms Fantasia pulled her arm and her elbow is dislocated. She wanted me to sign this accident report. I never had to sign a accident report before. This happen before when she was 2 and they gave me the accident report and insurance information right then.So what was so different now?I told her this Accident report need to tell the truth. She said she will speak to Jewel and have the accident report for me tomorrow. It's now Friday I pick my daughter up they had the same accident report wanting me sign it and told the teacher Mrs Michele not to give me the insurance information until I sign the accident report. I told her I did not have to do this before. I not signing falsified document. On Monday I began speaking to Jewel about what she told me not matching the accident report only to have Mrs Shawnna the Director interrupt stating their District manager came down spoke to the teachers and the story is remaining the same, i don't have to sign the accident report they put at the bottoms " Mom refuse to sign and finally gave me the insurance information. Mrs Shawnna then say that all the kids hold hands that's what they do, and all the teacher NOW ARE AWARE OF MY DAUGHTER NURSEMAID ELBOW"! My daughter has been attending since 2 all her teachers( 5)Never informed by Mrs Shawnna or Mrs Jewels about her health condition.I refuse to let anyone lie about what happen to my child. Mrs Shawnna was not empathetic nor ask how my child was. She talk about how Mrs Fantasia is a single mom with 5 kids,new , and didn't know and now she does. SMH... It is the principle about it that Mrs Shawnna will TELL A LIE TO COVER FOR HER STAFF. I can not make the story up seeing I was not their. This last Thursday Mrs Shawnna the Director left me a voice message and I quote" my daughter is complaining about her PP hurting her when she goes. Mrs Shawnna then says "she may have a UTI". Right their she is out of line disrespectful and unprofessionals. She is not a doctor. Needless to say my daughter never had Or has a UTI. My daughter is three if she pulled her hand from that teacher her elbow would have never dislocated. I remover my daughter from this school she is clearly not a concern. I hope corporate reads this and fires Mrs Shawnna she is not concerned about your child only her self and staff and is very RUDE, a LIAR, shows no empathy for your child and very unprofessional.PLEASE DO NOT ENROLL YOUR CHILD HERE. We absolutely love Tutor Time Arcadia. Shawna the Director is so kind and helpful. My son is in the 3 year old class room and his teachers are so hands on and involved. I love the consistency in the curriculum and classroom schedule while still including plenty of play and exploration time. They have an app you download to communicate with teachers and they upload multiple pictures of your child daily doing different activities in addition to their nap time. They even communicate what was eaten during the day. This place is worth every penny. My son is thriving at Tutor Time. read more

Frustrating disconnect between national company and local center. Had an unanticipated need for full time day care on fairly short notice (1 month). Knowing how difficult it is to find open infant rooms in the Central Valley area, I made sure to ask the gentleman I spoke with on the phone at Tutor Time if there were openings at this location and was assured TWICE that yes, there were immediate openings in the infant room. Thrilled, I signed up for a tour and enrollment meeting first thing the next morning - kiddo (whom I was encouraged to bring) and I braved 40 mins of rush hour traffic (location is near my work, not home) to get to the center... and were told promptly that there were no infant room openings for at least six month. Receptionist admitted that the national phone service they use has no way of tracking openings - so, I guess I was lied to on the phone? Hope this review saves someone else some time. read more

I would first like to start off by saying that we have been attending Tutor Time for the past 6 years, my family started entrusting our eldest child to them back in the early 2012's. If you are looking for a quick review without all the details, just know that we loved them enough that our second child goes there now and we have never had a reason not to trust them. When I first became a parent, I didn't quite know what to expect, but I knew that I would do anything to keep my child safe. Picking through many of the other options we had in Arizona we started to become very discouraged, either non-professional, not clean, poor curriculums or overall that feeling in your gut that you wouldn't want to leave your child there. That's when a friend of ours referred us to Tutor Time, almost immediately upon arriving inside the facility we felt that this campus was already leagues above others we had looked at. In the end we chose to trust them with our kids and they have been very accommodating with both of my children and our family unit. Shawna and her team have always treated our family like part of their family. The teachers have always been professional and courteous, even kind enough to allow us to contact them on their days off to babysit our kids (much due to the asking of our children!) We have been through a couple different directors in our time there and we have never felt anything but love for our kids. As with everything there is a downside though. My son, currently in Kindergarten, is currently being tested for SUSD's gifted program due the preparations and teachings from Shawna and her staff. You read that right, the only downside I can say about this facility is that they made him too prepared for school! In conclusion, we would not have chosen any other facility if we had the chance to do it all over again. We love the Tutor Time #6086 staff and their principles! read more

Looking for a daycare for my 2 year old son was the most frightening thing for my husband and I until we found this Tutor Time. My mother worked in a preschool for about 9 years. When she toured this center with me she was beyond impressed. Miss Michelle was able to answer any questions and worries we had at the time and Miss Shauna made our family feel right at home. This center is in impeccable shape and I absolutely adore the way they treat our son. He has only been there for about 5 months now and he has already learned so much from all of his teachers and friends. Miss Kiersten and Miss Rhonda are awesome as well. They are always doing fun activities with the kiddos. I feel so incredibly safe with son being there and couldn't have asked for a better learning environment! read more

Tutor Time is a great day care for the price. The facility is clean and the staff is overall really friendly. Some of the staff is questionable. Not that they aren't good people, the personalities are a bit drab. I am really happy with the care my child receives and I feel like he is in good hands. My son goes here and the teachers are so kind and interactive with him. I can tell they really care about him. He really seems to really enjoy coming here. Even in the infant room, they have fun activities for them to do daily! Kaylee, Olivia, Maria, and Ada are fantastic, I hope they never leave! Very affordable for the amount of hours of coverage available. Shauna is very responsive (the director) and when there is an issue she and the staff are very quick to resolve it in a way that makes me feel comfortable that it was truly addressed. They wash the toys daily and then environment is clean. We get updates frequently on the app with videos and pictures so we can really feel like we are still involved in his day. Watch out for the Tutor Time buses!! Almost hit by an irresponsible tutor time driver. Turned right in front of me when I was on my bicycle. The driver was coming up behind me and before they were even completely past me, made a right turn into the neighborhood while barely slowing down. Not so sure our kids our safe with drivers like that busing them around. Was considering having my child go there on a part time basis, but not so sure anymore. I have been taking my now 4.5 year old there for almost 2 years now and we love them! I moved to az from San Diego due to my husbands job and we have no child care support out here, no family, no friends so I had to find a good place to take care of my daughter while I was at work all day. I search everywhere and interviewed so many daycares and was disgusted by all of them, until I walked in to tutor time Arcadia. They truly love their kids here and I feel safe and have peace of mind dropping off my most treasured possession with them. Let me just say that I am "that mom" that is so picky about who watches my child. In fact I will not even hire a babysitter from an agency or let friends of friends watch her so for me to love tutor time really speaks volumes. I love how their security is tight. You have to be buzzed in the door, and have a computerized check in and out system. But I think most of all I love how informed they keep the parents on what your child did that day especially if there was any "incidents" like misbehavior, or they got hurt, or even if they just had a really good day. As my daughter prepares for kindergarten, we will be sad to leave tutor time. read more

Just toured Tutor Time in Arcadia today for my infant. The person I scheduled the interview with was not there. The "tour" lasted about 5 minutes - I just got to look in the infant room. There was not a lot of structure - infants (6 weeks to 1 year) can nap and eat at their schedule. As far as "curriculum", I was pointed to a box that has learning aids that they can use if you request. As far as "tracking" this curriculum, they just write it on a white board. I was looking for somewhere that would be a bit more interactive with my daughter (teaching her sign language, reading to her, etc.), but these "teachers" do not have formal education - except for what is given for staff development I was told. The staff to child ratio is 5:1. There is no price difference in 3, 4, or 5 days a week, and you have to pay for vacation weeks as well. I saw them wiping down surfaces, but didn't feel super clean in there. Just not a good fit for us. read more

This place is Okay, pretty affordable at 189 a week for full time. The teaching could be better and they could keep up with the cleaning a little more but kids are kids and we all know they make messes all day. Pretty satisfied with tutor time for the pricing but don't expect your children to learn much here it's more of a baby sitter type of day care not "Tutoring". read more

In my opinion there are obvious reason why places like Tutor Time do not retain quality staff over a period of time.Instead they hire mediocre staff ( and management) who stand by and allow the profit organization just make profit and not work on quality. . The ones who see that jump boat to not live a life of mediocrity and strive to finds a place who appreciate you and strives for more then just turning profit. I have nothing but amazing things to day about this place! My son is 4 months old and lives his teachers at tutor time sooooo much!!! They read to him sing to him and provide a wonderful environment. I'm a little surprised to read the last review of the parent looking at tutor time. Most infants don't have a nap schedule buy tutor time totally follows the babies eating schedule and actually helped put our baby on a good eating schedule! Also they don't people in street shoes in the room or other kids for the safety of our infants! I'm a lawyer mom and a super picky mom and I can't say enough about how clean this place is! Everything is wiped down every night and everything that can be laundered is laundered. Sounds like the poster didn't like that you pay for five days regardless if you use three but you get what you pay for and I'm happy to pay for wonderful childcare even if we don't use it all week.... read more

If I could turn back time I would not have sent my daughter here. We had a nanny two days a week when she was one and then when she turned two I thought that the social interaction would be positive for her. As a teacher, I did all my homework and I was impressed during the tour especially so we signed up. My daughter went here for about a year and experienced some "mean girl" antics by a child in her class. My daughter didn't really know how to handle it and the teachers either didn't see it or ignored it. Finally, my sweet girl told me she did't want to go back and used her best words to tell me what had been going on. I immediately met with the manager/director and she told me she would "observe" it. I also talked to the teacher and she said that the girl that was bullying was a very unhappy child and she knew of the problem between her and a few of the kids. Why did no one tell me??? I met with the director again and I felt like she didn't care at all. I should have pulled my daughter out right then and there and I regret that I didn't. Over a period of time I forced them to move my daughter to another classroom but then they moved her back with the same bully because of "classroom sizes". They told me that the other girl's family was "going through a hard time" and they were being sensitive about it. I truly believed they would do something (I thought they cared!) but we eventually left because of it. Anyway, my daughter now still talks about this "mean girl" and has nightmares about her! No child should be subjected to this at two. We are working on it but it's somehow in her subconcious and it's impacted her! She is now in school with lots of wonderful friends (no bullies!) but it is still there in her mind. "Remember that mean girl?" she will say to me from time to time...heartbreaking. I paid good money to this corporation and I feel like they don't care about anything but their bottom line. read more

Stay away! All about the money. Director and vast majority of staff (minus Miss Jordan and Miss Erin) have no regard for child individuality and personal growth. Children who do no adopt their "culture" are ostracisized and made to feel like "bad" kids. This location needs a major overhaul...BBB, CPS, State Licensing Board...please drop by for a visit and reach out to the many parents I have spoken to who feel too intimidated or threatened to speak up because they have no other options. Also, get ready to pay for "team meetings" and holidays, and days when your child is "misbehaving" or "not feeling well," when really they have reached their max ratio of kids to adults. Terrible. Do not recommend. Would pay triple to have my child feel loved, accepted, and positively encouraged and motivated. Every child deserves these things. This location has negatively impacted the quality of our lives on a day to day basis...resulting in stress on child and parent, as well as members of child's support team. Actions, gestures, and words of teacher as well as administrative staff have had lasting impacts upon parent and child resulting in irreversible consequences and damages.
