Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our preschool. We appreciate you! As the director and one of the teachers at Arcadian Day School, we welcome you and your thoughts! Please visit our website, www.arcadiandayschool to learn who we are and how we provide excellent care and educational preparation for preschoolers in Central Phoenix. Just a little bit about us.... "Welcome to the Arcadian Day School. We welcome you as a family to our school community and look forward to a strong partnership with you. We are pleased that you have chosen to send your child to our school. We hope it will be the beginning of a rich and rewarding relationship for your whole family. Our early childhood programs include multi-age groupings: Preschool classes for children who are 3 to 65 years old, which meet 5 days a week from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.; before (7:30 a.m.) and after preschool (until 5:30) care is offered. In addition, Parent/Child classes are held quarterly. While the Parent/Child classes offer insight into the challenges and wonders of parenting young children, the Preschool classes are an intermediary step for the child between the home and formal schooling. Our Mission To fully and freely develop the capacities of each child by nurturing heart, mind, and body through expressive, imaginative, and meaningful work and play. Our Vision To nurture and teach children so that they may go forth into the world with a peaceful and self-confident nature. Our Statement of Purpose We believe all that surrounds young children is important. In a most wonderful way, young children are open to the environment surrounding them, and they are drawn to experiences that enrich their lives. We believe that children learn best by doing, and thus, play is the serious work of childhood. We seek to encourage and protect the innate sense of wonder, beauty, and creativity of childhood. We strive to provide a warm, peaceful, and loving place to work, play, and create. We believe that the capacities for creative thinking and active learning are developed through a healthy balance of activity and rest, direction and free play. Our ultimate goal is to foster the development of children with inquiring minds, care and compassion for themselves and the world around them, and a passion for learning that will continue all their lives. Our teachers are well-trained, educated, and have years of experience together. Ms. Stephanie is Ivy-League educated and has a PhD in Marriage, Family, and Human Development. Ms. Arielle is completing her Masters degree at the Mary Lou Fulton Teacher's College. read more

In response to a clearly fake review that was recently posted, I can say with confidence that our experience has been the complete opposite of what was claimed. We have never witnessed any behavior that was unprofessional or inappropriate from the owners of the school. Space is limited and the vetting process for families is comprehensive to ensure that dedicated and committed families are admitted. I am thrilled to share our experience of Arcadia Day School. When my family was looking for a school for our children, we toured Waldorf, Montessori, charter schools, and highly rated public schools before ultimately choosing Arcadia Day School. It has been a wonderful experience for our family, our children, and our community. The school provides a unique and enriching educational experience that prioritizes individualized learning and fosters a sense of community. They are passionate and dedicated to their work, and they cultivate a warm and nurturing environment for the students. The curriculum is thoughtfully crafted and incorporates a variety of subjects, including arts, music, and nature studies. I wholeheartedly recommend Arcadia Day School to any family looking for a nurturing, educational environment for their children. It is truly a gem in the Phoenix community, and we feel fortunate to have found such a wonderful school for our family. read more

My son first started at ADS back in 2019, and was followed by his sister in 2021, and in the future, hopefully our third child. This little school, and the environment that Stephanie has cultivated, has been the home-away-from-home that we wanted for our kids. Looking back, we couldn't be more convinced it was the right decision. The teachers she carefully selects to work beside her, lead with love and we have had such joy watching our children thrive under their gentle care, and guidance. It saddens me to see a posting like the one below, which is clearly the act of a vindictive individual or some personal vendetta and not of anyone legitimately affiliated with this school in any way. I'm curious what the real story is there, but how cowardly to attack and potentially cause real damage to a truly beautiful community. At a time like this, and in an area such as ours, these are the types of teachers, schools, caretakers, families that we should be lifting up! We love you, ADS. read more

5 stars just isn't enough to rate this magical, one of a kind, beyond special school. Arcadian Day School is truly such a gem. My oldest graduated from ADS 2 years ago & my middle child is about to finish her third year at ADS in a couple weeks... we are all so sad that her time at ADS will be coming to an end. Arcadian Day School embodies happiness, encourages individuality, adventure, friendship, courage, kindness... the list goes on & on. Ms Stephanie, Ms. Tatum, & Ms. Wendi are the most loving, welcoming, caring teachers around. They truly love what they do & it shows with how much love, grace, & patience they display every single day. I give Arcadian day school my absolute highest recommendation, I will forever be grateful for all that this school has done to help my daughters become who they are & have instilled a lifelong love for learning. We can't wait till our youngest will attend & we hope to forever be apart of the ADS community. read more

I rarely write reviews, but this day care has far exceeded my expectations in terms of care, devotion, and dedication toward furthering the educational means upon which their educational mission is built. My daughter has been enrolled for almost two years in this program and has displayed a progression that was not present in her other day care programs previously. The learning at this facility is hands-on, teaches children the core skills to succeed in life, and takes their already forming talents and inspires them to reach their full potential. It is unfortunate that this mode is not available at other day care facilities. My daughter has been in and out of other day care programs in the Phoenix area and all have paled in comparison to this one. I highly recommend this facility and stand by it and its methods 100%. I will not entrust the care of my daughter to anyone else. As a mother, this is saying a lot! read more

Arcadian Day School is committed to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. My daughter attended preschool there from 2.5 years old through 5. In that time she received top notch care and instruction that developed her cognitive, emotional, and social skills. Arcadian Day focuses on hands-on learning activities, play-based learning, and individualized attention to students. These approaches help children develop a love for learning, build their self-confidence, and foster their creativity and imagination. The dedication and expertise of the preschool staff is unmatched. The owner and teachers are passionate about their work and genuinely care about their students' well-being. They make a significant difference in a child's learning experience. My daughter thrived in this environment and to this day says Miss Stephanie is her favorite teacher ever. read more

As a first-time mom, choosing the right preschool for my child was my top priority. I didn't want to send my precious child just anywhere. My son went to ADS for two years and I could simply not have chosen a better place for him to grow and thrive. He received the best care and attention that I could have ever wished for, to say the least. He learned to not only be a good future scholar, but to be a kind and loving human being. Not only did my son have the privilege of attending Arcadian Day School, but as a family, we also had the privilege of being their next-door neighbors for 10 years. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Stephanie and her husband Dr. Danny for not only helping me raise my son while I wasn't there, but for being the most wonderful humans I have ever met. read more

Many parents who are familiar with this school use the word "magical" to describe it and for good reason. The teachers commit themselves to nurturing their students' curiosity and well-being in all manner of ways, from studying whichever subjects strike the children's fancy (stars, bugs, rainbows!), to hands-on learning experiences in the garden or with chickens and goats, to art projects, playtime and stories. It is an idyllic escape that also manages, through the gifted means of the teachers, to incorporate natural learning, cooperation and character-building skills in the students. I am so fortunate to have found this school for my youngest daughter. She adores every day she spends here with her beloved teachers and friends. read more

Awesome school! I have had my daughter there for a couple years now and she absolutely loves it. She wakes up wanting to go every morning even on the weekends. Having my daughter there for years I clearly know all the parents of the children and it is evident that this one star reviewer is a wonderful story of fiction. Either way great school and even better teachers. If you have a chance read the hidden reviews of actual parents who post their phone numbers as well as pictures of them and their children at the school. If you are on your phone it's hard to find the filtered ones, but on a desktop you can see all the hidden real actual reviews and judge for yourself. read more

This school is the best of the best. Run by gifted, kind, patient, and loving teachers, it is the ideal environment for young children. The program is rooted in play, with exploratory learning based on the children's natural interests. They are taught how to garden, care for a variety of animals, and interact as a peaceful community. My children LOVE this school, and have learned an extraordinary amount in the most joyful way possible. With modeling from their teachers, the children interact and navigate conflict with respect and thoughtfulness. They take pride in becoming increasingly independent and responsible. This school is a gem. read more

My daughter attended this day school for 3 years, until she aged out, and has missed it since. We were blessed with discovering this place and the family that runs it. Stephanie has a PHD on child development, and couldn't be any more qualified to run it. Additionally, she's a mother and upholds family values, creating a nurturing environment for all the children in her school. I have and will continue to recommend this establishment to every parent who loves their child. feel free to call me if you would like to know more 917-689-0434 - Max Palacio read more

It is wonderful to have such a small learning environment for my child, where every family is known by name and keeps in touch for years to come. Children come to learn and play and so do families. The numerous family events and playdates held each year and village mentality support our entire family. Teachers with advanced degrees and more than 45 years combined classroom experience with a 1:5 (or less) ratio is impossible to beat. read more

This is by far one of the most caring and direction oriented education experiences possible for Arizona's youth. Toddlers of today are missing out on learning simple life experiences, and instead are stuck inside a "classroom". Both Stephanie and Tatum strive to not have that be the case. I am so grateful for the ladies at this business, and will be sending my youngest their way just like I did with her brother. read more

As a teacher at Arcadian Day School I couldn't be happier. I have been working with Stephanie and her family for nearly two years now and I have continuously been so impressed with how balanced, dedicated and wonderful they are! My child, who can be very shy, really comes out of her shell while she is there and enjoys herself while she learns. I feel so blessed to be a part of this amazing community! read more

This school was exactly what my young children needed. Stephanie and Tatum provided the perfect learning environment with the absolute best balance of work and play that is missing from the average toddler life in 2023. I cannot thank them enough for their dedication to the youth they guide daily. Your kids will be blessed long term by attending here. read more

This school is amazing, very child led and family centered. I felt like the staff truly understood my child and my family while we were students there. I recommend this school to all my friends and family members. read more

A+ school for the littles! Lucky to have this school close to our house! Not another daycare mill like so many other preschools.

Great school and teachers. This school is well managed with it's main focus of the Children's welfare.
