Thankfully, Tutor Doctor also offers tutoring during school hours, and that's when we began working with Zia. Zia was truly a godsend for my son. Her communication was exceptional, and she consistently went above and beyond--planning thoughtfully, checking in regularly, and reaching out to his teachers to get detailed guidance on what he needed to work on. Karyn tutors my daughter, who's in 4th grade, and we couldn't be happier with her! She's always on time for sessions and has a knack for keeping my daughter engaged during online lessons--something we've struggled with before. Tutor Doctor has greatly helped our daugher through 6th grade. Nathan, her tutor, is incredibly helpful for our daughter's needs. He is incredibly patient, works with her on concepts that are hard for her to understand, and has her take notes on math tasks she has trouble with. She has dyslexia, and scrambles her numbers at times. Patience helps a lot! She has tested well and received and A in Math every semester this year, and is on her way to doing the same in QTR 4! By the way, the session reports that Nathan has submitted have helped us, as parents, to understand where she is lacking and how to give her extra help. Very grateful for Nathan, her previous tutor, and Kimberly. She has given me great advice about my child's learning expectations and helped me to understand how best to support my daughter. If I could buy relief, confidence, and validation, it would be in the form of Tutor Doctor. From the beginning, time was spent to make sure they got know the specific needs of my son, identified areas where they could support, and made sure to match him with the RIGHT tutor, not one that was mostly right but convenient. Sophia, his tutor, is nothing short of wonderful. She has double my son's scores in a few short weeks but more importantly, the confidence she has help him restore is priceless and irreplaceable. He's comfortable with her, isn't afraid to tell her what he's not understanding, and she genuinely understands his personality, a must when working with children. Sadly I don't believe Tutor Doctor actually screens those they assign or hire. We had one Tutor no show to us and the company and then assigned someone whom had never tutored or taught kids. When I raised my concerns I wasn't even afforded a call or apology. This caused us lost time in supporting our child's needs. Would not recommend. read more

Kimberly and her Team of tutors are awesome if you are looking for private tutoring for your child. They provide customized sessions in your home that are tailored to the needs of each child. They also provide feedback after each session so that you will be aware of how things are progressing and what to work on ahead of the next session.
