It WAS Mardi-Gras, after all. But, there were only 6 or 7 people ahead of me. They were only letting people in as people were leaving and from what I could hear of the door man's conversation, the rest room was to the right. Literally everyone in front of me lined up only to use the bathroom. It's true! I saw the same people coming back out that had already been let in. Holy crap, Batman! I might be in the wrong line! So I finally asked the doorman if I was in the correct line but he was so robotic and only asked me for my id then there was a girl who unhooked a rope at the door opening. I went inside. I was so shocked to find virtually no one in the place. Okay...there were maybe 10 people sitting at the bar and dining tables COMBINED. in addition. I could only see two people behind the bar and I had previously noticed the outside walk up window had been painted shut years before. I got the courage to ask one of the patrons drinking a daiquiri(?) from a pitcher sized pail. He looked back at me and said they had had a visit from the fire department and were told the had to curb their customers from going inside because of the lack of bar tenders and waitstaff.
