You can order drinks and tapas and create whatever you'd like with your slab of clay. It's a cocktail bar where you can create pottery. It was my first time visiting a place like this. Slab of clay is $15 and you get a pound and they have all the tools you need at tables and a paint station to paint your creation if you'd like. Service is 5/5 everyone is super chill and cool. They even brought out complementary snacks for everyone which was super sweet of them and delicious. They also have non-alcohol drinks, authentic Mexican hot chocolate, and teas. We took two grand kids (ages 5 and 7) to Creativity Warehouse for a pottery class that was…read moreadvertised in the January Cibola Neighborhood alerts. The pottery class was $40 per child. There were only 3 children signed up for the "Kids Clay workshop", so there was plenty of opportunity for the teacher to provide one-on-one attention to them. There was not much direction or instruction from the teacher on how to prepare the clay or proper painting technique to use on clay. She did demonstrate how to attach items to clay by scraping. For this age, we felt there should have been more instruction on designing of the objects and directions on how to paint the clay, so when fired, the color would be more vibrant. The color of the completed pieces was very washed out, almost if they had been just painted with water color. The teacher said the project would be ready in 7 to 10 days and that we would receive a text when the pieces were ready to pick up. It took 21 days and we were never notified for pick-up. We had to personally check 3 times to see if project had been completed and was ready to pick up. Very disappointed in the service after paying over $80 for the class.

The space is inclusive and the staff is friendly. It took me two months to realize that this location does NOT call you when your art is ready. You need to come by and pick it up 10+ days AFTER you've completed painting your pottery. Of course, that doesn't go for all pieces since there's so much going on at Kiln It but if you're painting pre-made ceramics -- head back after 10 days to pick up your stuff!

She's super knowledgeable and helpful during our classes, and adapts the class to our projects. The space is quite big, and has a very nice atmosphere. You can bring food/drinks while you're in the studio, and you can even get some snacks/drinks while you're there. Dogs also roam the studio while their owners are working. Paseo donates a ton of money to local charities which is so sweet. They're a non-profit and you can "vote" on where you want the money to go. I'll probably take another class here. So fun!

Our first mimosa for this event was free and there were several other different kinds of wine and snacks for sale (their food truck is open more so during the evening classes and there's a nice patio to sit at). And, as an extra option, you can choose to have this creative fun under black lights with glowing paint? Yes please. This cool spot provides you with a poncho, but I recommend wearing shoes and pants that can get messy. The only thing you'll need to clean up is yourself! They took care of everything - set up & clean up. We had a great time. Welcome to the list of creative & fun things to do in Albuquerque, Chatter Paint! They're new and working out the best ways to offer this space, but were really open to feedback and genuinely friendly and wonderful. Only concern is the floors can be very slippery with paint. They have plenty of warnings but maybe they need floor mats or a covering.
