Ok I hate leaving reviews and almost never leave them. But Chatter Paint was so fun I created a Yelp account just to leave a review because it was so amazing. Outside of breweries and the outdoors, it's hard to find unique things to do in Albuquerque. After spending a decade or so here, I just get bored of visiting the same places over and over again. When I first heard of Chatter Paint, I thought it was another boring painting place where you can paint pottery or a canvas or whatever so I didn't think too much of it. Then I saw one of my friends post their experience on Instagram with the black lights and neon paints I was floored. If that's not enough, I saw the absolute mess they created and I was even more blown away. What kind of business even allows this??! I had to try it for myself. I went with my three little boys who always have so much energy. The moment they set foot inside the painting area they were in the zone. They didn't even pay attention to their canvas when they saw the cool black lights, the painting tools, and especially the paint guns. We just had to try those! They spent the next 45 minutes throwing paint at each other and just having an absolute blast. They kept on asking for more and more paint. It wasn't even about painting lol just having lots of fun with paint. Word of caution! You can get very very messy so it's a good idea to wear ponchos or bring an extra set of clothes to change into. They have a sink to wash off in, but it doesn't always get everything off especially the hair or back. When we got home, I took my boys immediately to the shower and put their clothes in the wash. Everything came out pretty easily. They were talking about their time at Chatter Paint all evening and were begging me to go back again. It's also not a cheap experience either but we felt like it was comparable to other art places and totally worth it to bring the kids out! And they get a canvas to take back home with them. I highly recommend checking out Chatter Paint for a different painting experience that the whole family can enjoy.

    Black light fun!

Soooo happy there's an artistic outlet for the family! We're always trying new places for our kids to experience. This is a must-go place for anyone! Try it! Get messy, have fun and enjoy your precious life!

Will was absolutely amazing! Very accommodating with us making an appointment outside their regular business hours. He answered any and all our questions and was very hospitable throughout our time there. The place is a blast! Everyone had a good time and it was amazing seeing everyone's creativity come out!! The kids really let loose and thank goodness it is water based paint because the paint came off so easily when we got home. Definitely worth trying out!

We held our wedding at The View Event Center, which is a site owned and managed by Simply Decor &…read moreEvents. The location is gorgeous, and was just right for our wedding. When we arrived, the chairs were uncovered and the tablecloths had deep creases in them. Be aware that the basic package doesn't include the chair covers (even if you were told it does!) and includes their least-expensive tablecloths. Despite this, the manager on site the day of our event very kindly put covers on the chairs and swapped the tablecloths out. We had no problems with the venue or the staff until the manager left. Once she was no longer present, the staff began clearing tables, not just of trash from dinner, but also by throwing away wedding favors, florals, and other decor we had out. Many of our guests began leaving because they thought the event was over, even though it still had 2 1/2 hours to go. We ended up leaving early, ourselves, because we had no guests left! We also pre-paid for some wine vouchers for our cash bar. The bartender requested that we hand out the vouchers, so we put a friend in charge of them. At the end of the night, we still had 20 vouchers left. The bartender charged our guests full price for glasses of wine if they didn't have a voucher; this was after asking us to hand out the vouchers rather than keep them at the bar for free use by the guests. We feel double-charged for those drinks, and were offered no means of making this right, since it isn't the bartender's job to keep track of the vouchers that were pre-paid for. We frustratingly overpaid by $100 for wine that the bartender can now re-sell at another time. Overall, the management is phenomenal, and our experience was a good one. The venue is beautiful, and I'd highly recommend a walkthrough for anyone interested. Just some suggestions: make sure everything you're promised is written out to the letter on the invoice, don't have an evening event here, where the manager might be clocking out partway through, and go with a strictly cash or strictly open bar, DO NOT buy the vouchers, because they're not afraid to double-dip for the drinks that are already covered by those.

Also, i sent them an email and didn't get a response for four days. Their website says they work by appointment only but I'm not sure how you're supposed to schedule an appointment if they don't answer, or why anyone would even want to give business to a company that operates in this fashion. When I did finallllly get a response back from them, I asked if I could come in and see their available linens for wedding venues and the answer they provided me was "We won't know our openings for Monday until Sunday night." I'm not sure what that's suppose to mean. Geez thanks very helpful!NOT!!!! Do yourself a favor don't bother using this company for any of your party planning needs .

We are so grateful for her professionalism and experience, as she organized all of the vendors and kept our wedding on a timeline. There were only 3 children signed up for the "Kids Clay workshop", so there was plenty of opportunity for the teacher to provide one-on-one attention to them. There was not much direction or instruction from the teacher on how to prepare the clay or proper painting technique to use on clay. She did demonstrate how to attach items to clay by scraping. For this age, we felt there should have been more instruction on designing of the objects and directions on how to paint the clay, so when fired, the color would be more vibrant. The color of the completed pieces was very washed out, almost if they had been just painted with water color. The teacher said the project would be ready in 7 to 10 days and that we would receive a text when the pieces were ready to pick up. It took 21 days and we were never notified for pick-up. We had to personally check 3 times to see if project had been completed and was ready to pick up. Very disappointed in the service after paying over $80 for the class.
